Liz and Lucky need to get back together pronto. Especially since Aiden is Lucky's son so now they have another tie. Not to mention since they have rethought letting Becky go from her contract and she's staying on as Elizabeth.
I can't imagine the point of this s/l. There was so much potential for Jake/Jason. I think the writers want the viewers to abandon ship. Jason already has such a heavy existence. The only good thing that can come of this is Sam having a baby with him. It has literally become a chore to watch GH. I've been waiting for something to happen (right) for the last 6 months & nothing. Why do they keep killing everybody off? Cant people just leave town.
Liz's children were getting too complicated, 3 young boys by 3 different fathers. It was only a matter of time before the writers got rid of one. I can't believe they'd really kill a child off like that though and it's a heartbreaking storyline. I've seen people suggesting that this is an elaborate Franco plan and he kidnapped Jake. I doubt that's true, but it would be nice if it was.
i hate the writers for killing jake theres no point to it accept to destroy everyone of all of liz's kids jake was the one with the best story the one everybody wanted to see grow up and deal with the jason/lucky thing and see how he turned out and now they just took all that away just to shake things up its disgusting
Now Michael gets to see just how determined and focused Carly gets as a mom in crisis mode... Carly handles a crisis better than anyone. She doesn't let anything distract her focus.

I love my GH, been watching for many years but some things bug me that the writers or producers don't take into account. 1. There's no way the hospital would have a window by the operating room so loved ones could just stand by and watch an operation in progress. 2. Sonny's been shot before in the chest, so has Dante, yet when they have scenes lying in bed with their significant others, do we see scars from the bullet wounds? No! I guess they think us fans forget these things-well, we don't.
seeing joslin laying in the bed like that is hella sad and her having cancer is worse... i feel so sorry for siobhan that she aint in the room with lucky and she has to wait on the outside... jason:( watching jake pass away is hella sad... do anyone know why he got killed off the show??
Jake is gonna die and they are gonna give Jocelyn his kidneys (that's my prediction) - how sad for Jason and Elizabeth. I can't believe they would let Jason's only child die!
How ironic that Jason watched Jake being born through the window in an operating room, and watched him die the same way. And he was all alone. Why did they have to do this?

Very sad but I saw this coming since the preview for this scenario. The moment they mentioned Joycelyn was ill, I knew Jake was a goner. Joyce is gonna get his kidneys. Jax & Carley are gonna get closer, and Jason's gonna have to deal with the fact Sam killed his son...Just guessing based on relative predictability of the show.
...And even though it's not fair, Jake is not too young to die. This happens every minute in some part of the world daily :(
honestly i could care less aboout how liz feels beause karmas a bitch, im concerned for lucky and jason... especially jason, he gives jake up to protect him and now his son he only held 8 times is gone. poor jason, you hardly see him like this...
I mostly am annoyed with all the bad mother comments. People make mistakes as you all point out frequently when it involves Sam and Carly but that doesn't make them bad parents or bad people. This was not a case of Elizabeth ignoring her mother responsibilities. It could have happened to any one of them. I think people need to really look at what happened it was a hectic day for her and mother's can't be all see and knowing all the time. She is blaming herself, But it was an accident!!!
Ok this is a tear jerker for me. If I wanst in love with Jason and some of the other characters on this show, I would stop watching it. They should never have gotten rid of Jake. He is all jason had. Y take him away from him.

an old timer right here, when Felicia said not Barbara Jean i cried sooo hard i had a headache after. But when Tony put his ear to Maxie's chest to listen to BJ's heart I lost it. Those actors set a high bar but I know Jonathan Jackson and Steve Burtin are up to it lets hope Rebecca is up to the task

I think it sucks that Jason has to loose his son so that he can donate his kidney's to Carley's baby and I hate the way that Carley always goes crying to Jason and that Jason has to suffer for Carley and Sonny all the time. I hate that they kill kids on this show. wth!?

@whiteshell1 Most likely she was kept out because as a nurse (and I speak from experience as my mother is one) there is too much of a risk that she will not be able to remain just in observation. With such an understanding of exactly what is going on and what is at stake, it was a much wiser decision to keep her away, considering she was hysterical. At least they know Jason and Sam have an invested stake, but not the volatility of Liz.

Lucky shouldn't make any decisions as far as taking jake off life support he isn't his biological father, JASON IS... and everyone there is making it seem like Lucky and Liz's pain is the only pain that matters what about jason that's his son in there he gave him up to keep him safe i'm sure he's kicking himself now that even though he gave him up his son still died...
@Corimgn1982 I am an unbelievably HUGE fan of Jason (and Sam), but I have to disagree with you. I know how much Jason loves Jake, but Jason gave up his rights to make those kinds of decisions for his son. I'd be okay with Lucky and Liz talking with him about it, but ultimately, it isn't Jason's decision to make. Legally or otherwise.
this is so heartbreaking to see i keep trying to remind myself its just a show but i can't stop crying like a baby especially where jason is concerned his performance today was so powerful its almost painful to watch, i just wanna hug him and let him cry on my shoulder

Aww damn you writer!!!!! I know it's a show and it isn't true but it's hard enough dealing with kids dying in real life especially in such a brutal way. Why did you do this? If you needed a story finish the ones you already have don't add the death of a baby to the list. This is not entertaining 2 watch!!! Jason just made it worse to look at in the end!!!!!
@deniseguzzardo I thought that too. I was really surprised with JMB. She is usually way better. Watch the writers have her show more emotion over Joss than Jake. Steve, Jonathan, and Rebecca and even Laura broke my heart today. They were incredible. Scott, Jason, and Kimberly were excellent as well. I do believe that the worse of the tears have yet to come. I don't think we have seen the complete devestation of Eliabeth or Lucky or Jason or the rest of the cast. Bring on the Kleenex

@tianaj She was distracted for a moment, like busy mothers often are. No one can possibly have her eyes on her children 24/7. You're probably biased because you just don't like the character. The reality is that crap happens and parents can only be so vigilant.

Everyone is wrapped up in the paternity test but I keep saying she could have been changing Aiden's diaper or making dinner or tending to Cam or one of the other million things Mothers have to deal with on a daily basis. Even if she was married, most husbands work. My husband is out of the house more hours a week than in due to his job. The writters could have done this to any of the character!

It is true Elizabeth has been obsessed w/Aidan's test results. That obsession caused her 2 lose focus on the kids. It is true even though it wasn't her nite, as a single mother, she must be prepared for anything, including changed plans. We don't have to like it. That doesn't make it any less true.

I can't stand her character, however, she was checking the mail. She was NOT watching a 2 hour movie with the sound up. She was not napping with the oven on. She was standing a few feet away reading the mail. How did she not hear the door? I don't know. She wasn't expecting it. Why the heck did that crazy kid open the door and run?

@tianaj You're being redundant. No one has said she's a perfect mother. But again, she's a single mom who looked away for a moment. Is she at fault for not having more than one set of eyes? Yes. Is she at fault for Jake getting hurt? No, because that blame goes to the person who ran over a kid and was too distracted to realize it.

But when Elizabeth says she is sorry or owns up to her mistakes everyone says she can't just erase it by saying Im sorry. I am not a Sam hater. She annoys me sometimes by not listening to Jason. Just because she can handle his world doesn't mean she should be as involved as she is. Her are Carly jump in to help and usually end up needing to be rescued.
During the fire she ran after her other small child which I guess everyone on here would be happy if he got hit by a car. During the carnival she saw him but did not know the car was coming. A car shouldn't have been there oh and Morgan got hit by a car at the carnival too so I guess that is another strike agains Carly. I also remember Lucky and Jason both just standing there watching Jake run into the prize tent. She is called a great Mother and she is just like Carly and Alexis!

Are you serious??? I mean, I feel bad for Jason as well but Lucky's his dad! He's the one that fed him as a baby and sung him to sleep @ night and played with him! Spending time with him, getting to know him, creating a bond? That's the most precious thing about being a parent! Losing someone you love always hurts, but especially if you are the parents who you know - actually did parenting to him!
@Popfan93 And why is that? Because Jason did one of the most unselfish things a parent can do. Put the child FIRST. He was convinced his life would leave Jake in perpetual danger, so he did a truly amazing thing. He gave up rights to the son he loved and wanted, so he could have a happy, healthy, normal childhood. That takes tremendous love. Jason purposely steered clear of the son he would happily give his life for. Not because he didn't want him, but 2 keep him safe. N it killed him 2 do it.

LIZ so obsessed w/test results she didn't even find her son until after the car was long gone. LIZ, honey, not Sam.

Very sad but I saw this coming since the preview for this scenario. The moment they mentioned Joycelyn was ill, I knew Jake was a goner. Joyce is gonna get his kidneys. Jax & Carley are gonna get closer, and Jason's gonna have to deal with the fact Sam killed his son...Just guessing based on relative predictability of the show.
...And even though it's not fair, Jake is not too young to die. This happens every minute in some part of the world daily :(

I mostly am annoyed with all the bad mother comments. People make mistakes as you all point out frequently when it involves Sam and Carly but that doesn't make them bad parents or bad people. This was not a case of Elizabeth ignoring her mother responsibilities. It could have happened to any one of them. I think people need to really look at what happened it was a hectic day for her and mother's can't be all see and knowing all the time. She is blaming herself, But it was an accident!!!

@whiteshell1 Most likely she was kept out because as a nurse (and I speak from experience as my mother is one) there is too much of a risk that she will not be able to remain just in observation. With such an understanding of exactly what is going on and what is at stake, it was a much wiser decision to keep her away, considering she was hysterical. At least they know Jason and Sam have an invested stake, but not the volatility of Liz.

Steve, Jonathan, and Rebecca and even Laura broke my heart today. They were incredible. Scott, Jason, and Kimberly were excellent as well. I do believe that the worse of the tears have yet to come. Everyone is wrapped up in the paternity test but I keep saying she could have been changing Aiden's diaper or making dinner or tending to Cam or one of the other million things Mothers have to deal with on a daily basis. Even if she was married, most husbands work. My husband is out of the house more hours a week than in due to his job. The writters could have done this to any of the character!

I can't stand her character, however, she was checking the mail. She was NOT watching a 2 hour movie with the sound up. She was not napping with the oven on. She was standing a few feet away reading the mail. How did she not hear the door? I don't know. She wasn't expecting it. Why the heck did that crazy kid open the door and run?

During the fire she ran after her other small child which I guess everyone on here would be happy if he got hit by a car. During the carnival she saw him but did not know the car was coming. A car shouldn't have been there oh and Morgan got hit by a car at the carnival too so I guess that is another strike agains Carly. I also remember Lucky and Jason both just standing there watching Jake run into the prize tent. She is called a great Mother and she is just like Carly and Alexis!

He was convinced his life would leave Jake in perpetual danger, so he did a truly amazing thing. He gave up rights to the son he loved and wanted, so he could have a happy, healthy, normal childhood. That takes tremendous love. Jason purposely steered clear of the son he would happily give his life for. Not because he didn't want him, but 2 keep him safe. N it killed him 2 do it.

@magspot I still remember Felicia's face when she realized that is Maxie got BJ's heart...one of the best storyline ever on GH and daytime tv...Classic Soap storyline.

@acmdu89 I totally agree. That along with Dominique's death and Stone's death were probably my big three heartbreakers. This one's doing a good job too though. :)

This is beyond heartbreaking. To watch two little babies suffer. I know Jake's older than Josslynn, but he's still a baby.
I was glad to see Sam there for Jason. I wish she had been there when he got the news that Jake died. He shouldn't have been alone for that.
Patrick and Robin have to feel horrible. Patrick's supposed to be the best and he just lost the child of a friend who's not much older than Emma.
I just feel bad for all the parents. Carly, Jax, Liz, Lucky are killing their scenes!

@26mrwrestlemania Sam saved Jake's life (russians). I know it's easier for you 2 deny or forget that, but that doesn't erase it. N b4 u try 2 go there, Jake's life wasn't n danger bcause of Sam. His life was n danger cause LIZ refused 2 listen 2 both Lucky n Jason. LIZ watched her son run away at the carnival. LIZ, so obsessed w/ Aidan's test results she didn't hear the door open. LIZ so obsessed w/test results she didn't even find her son until after the car was long gone. LIZ, honey, not Sam.
