  • Hey man. I'll be living in an apartment soon and the first animal I wanna get is an Indian Ringneck. My question is; do they squeal? As in so loud my neighbors will complain? They are very beautiful birds, but I'm just worried about that one thing. Thanks for answering.

  • How much did you pay for him?

  • They are ^ ^

  • lmao! i literally loled at some parts for example 5:23 and 5:39

  • haha i love when it pulls up the cracker at the end of the string. smart bird

  • seem your parrot love you so much and you also care of her very much because it not seem angry at all very good

  • Did your ringneck go through bluffing? I think mine is but im just worried that she is unhappy or biting for anouther reason? Thanks.

  • Your parakeet is AWSOME!!!!

  • What a sweetie :-D

I just got a 14 month old rescue Rinneck parrot and am hoping one day to have the same connection you have with yours :-)

They are amazing pets x x

  • great vidoe, are you watching tim kelly's 3 ball routine at around minute 3? hahaha that is one of the best.

  • wat a sweet little bastard

  • Great vid mate...you guys do great team!!

  • Mine is blue and is called ice :)

  • oommmmgggggg thats so fuckin cute i have a green indian ringneck aswell but he just flies off my shoulder but when he is on my MUM's shoulder then he doesnt even move

  • is it boy or girl?

  • @danieluyanguren u can tell if there boys or girls from their colour if its green its a boy and females are moslty yellow but there are different colours aswell

  • How do you get it to grab the string and pull up? Mine just climbs down the sides of the perch holder.

  • Good stuff and very entertaining. Ill be getting an irn soon. Hows your birdie doin these days anyhoo?

  • i bet it hurts if he pecks you, his beak looks razor sharp

  • how did u get urs so cuddly i got mine just yesterday and shes hand tame but every time i get near her she runs away can i hav so help please

  • i'm gettin one this weekend they're so cute, but one thing....do they shit everywhere??

  • @Shamarocy Yeah, they will poo basically every ten minutes or so. Luckily these are pretty tiny feces - you can just wipe them up with a tissue. You do have to keep up with it, though.

  • @thegnome54 but if they poop on on your bed or a carpet or your clothes....etc isn't that gonna be a problem? i saw some people teaching them to poop in a certain place or on command...thats awesome......& btw thanx for the fast respond

  • @Shamarocy We don't have much carpeting in our house, but I guess that would be a bit more annoying. We usually wear 'poop rags' on our shoulders when he's hanging out on us. Otherwise, he tends to perch on his little play area, which we have newspaper under. It helps to make him little places to hang out that can be newspapered - like the dowel I have set up in my room. He gets used to them and will tend to gravitate towards being there. Good luck! Let me know if you have more questions.

  • @thegnome54 thanx alot man ur the best

  • @Shamarocy hello there is no problem is you get a parrot. But getting parrots is an offense. U can get a parrot when it is injured and when you see a helpless parrot which is injured outside(if you want to help it).Even we got our Bushi like that. My mom got our Bushi when he was injured. Some idiot children injured his feathers and broke his feather bone.So when my mom helped Bushi he attached to my mom and his age is now- 22 years. So don't BUY a parrot.

  • @Snigdha0721 what a coincidence.....yesterday i saw an injured cat (dead leg) so me & my friend caught it & he's keepin it :)

  • @thegnome54 Excuse me. Ringneck parrots don't poo every 10 minutes.Understand?I have a parrot named-Bushi.I have uploaded his videos if have any doubt you can watch them. But these parrots don't poo every 10 minutes. They can poo for half an hour or 25 minutes.I think you are feeding your parrot too much and your parrot is facing problems. If you don't know you don't act too much understand?

  • @Snigdha0721 that's a really condescending tone to take. every bird is different

  • @Shamarocy yes they do.

    enjoy

  • @Shamarocy Okay if you are saying the truth its okay. :-D

  • @Snigdha0721 why tha fuck would i lie??...so ur sayin that if there wasn't an injured parrot out there i should never buy one?

  • @Shamarocy But by the way you should never BUY a parrot. x-(

  • @Shamarocy they dont shit mopre then budgie u see the smaller the body the faster of digestion

  • @Shamarocy YES

  • How did you train him not to bite you?

  • how did you get him not to bite you?? mine has 3 months old and he bites when we want to reach him and such. Yours is very sweet!!!

  • I'm in love with you! and your bird! my boyfriend is totally annoyed by my IRN and your so sweet with yours so I pretty much wanna marry you. hope that doesn't freak you out. lol

  • Het good stuff man! Just a quick question with a long answer :)

How do u tame your bird so well. Thanks

Ps im getting a ringneck soon.

    Peace

  • good bird???? why cant u give him a fucking name??

  • she's so smart!!

    you're lucky!=)

  • hi.

are the ringnecks allways quiet, or do they make alot of noice?

  • Oh nooo she's upside down! :-D

    She's a cute little parakeet.

  • amazing we are getting a ringneck they are awesome, we had one quite a while back but he got away :( but we are hoping the new one will be very easy to train and be friendly when it gets older :D

  • mine escaped once but i got him back:)

  • Your Indian Ringneck Parakeets is so cute. Looks like mine except he has a rign around his neck and is not very tame. I've been trying to get him to make more noises and stuff, but it's not been easy. Also, he is only nice to me and not my mom.

  • is this a male or a female parakeet and how much old is it??????

  • Is he dark green or just green?

  • EPIC!

  • can i ask how old is your parakeet ??

i have a parakeet thats 9 years old and cant seem to train her.

im not sure if you can tell me how to train her :/

  • hahaha this never gets old. I borrowed a couple of tricks from here hehe for mine :)

They love lifting apples from strings :)

  • If you keep them rather free don't they just poo all over the house? I want one so badly but have been disturbed by that thought.

  • Is he 3 months old here?

  • So fluffy xD Nice bird

  • i have a female 1 and its yellow with a red beak, it hates me and my family, but barely likes my mom since the ringneck treats my mom like a taxi.

  • 2:23

    Genius!

  • you should definitely buy an indian ringneck, they can learn over 250 words, over 300 if your liucky, peach face love birds are nawt playful, indian ringnecks are very outgoing, and peach face love birds cannot talk so get an indian ringneck ^^

  • i just bought one 2 and his name is yoshi

  • i just bought an indian ringneck, and hes amazing, his name is apple :3

  • @deathsk8r101

Hey, should i buy a green ringneck or a peach faced lovebird ?

  • @SutkasFan you should definitely buy an indian ringneck, they can learn over 250 words, even over 300 if your lucky peach face love birds are nawt playful, they cannot talk either, indian ringnecks have very vibrant colors and they are very playful, so you should buy an indian ringneck ^^

  • @deathsk8r101

O_o i don't know what my parents would buy me, it depends from them not from me...

  • @SutkasFan well, the peach face lovebird is less expensive, i got my indian ringneck for 200, usually they are 300 to 400 dollars, plus the expensive cage, and food, and the toys, i ended up paying 500 dollars on mine for the cage the food the toys, and the bird, now the peach faced love bird is about 50 to 100 dollars, plus the cage would be 50 to 100 plus the food, plus the toys would be up to 350 dollars ^^ did that help ya?

  • @deathsk8r101

You got your ringneck for 200 dollars ?

Well here in Macedonia they are lot cheaper, near 100 euros or $125.

And you can get a peach face lovebird for 26 euros or $32.

I already have a big cage, the food would be near 10 euros.

  • @SutkasFan still, get the indian ringneck, they are soo much cooler, plus only get them from bird breeders, okay?

  • @deathsk8r101

OK i will try to find one from the bird breeders.

  • im planning to buy....but what color should i buy?please help!

  • I have a Indian Ringneck parrot too. He just 2 month. How old are your parrot in this video??

  • I have a Blue IRN, they are the best birds ever ^.^

  • just beautiful <3

  • DUDE, what he did with the rope owns

  • So cute)))) ive got one, and i completely agree this parakeets are AWESOME

  • Hey I have a green IRN named Bhanu too! Same spelling and everything. Haha, did you look up what the name means and all that?

  • awesome bird, you handle him very well...

  • Bhanu is such a happy bird - lovely! Unfortunately my 8 yr-old Ringneck wasn't handled before he turned up to live with us and so he bites. Not flinching away (re training) would result in a bloodbath - mine, not his - so I use a thick glove but even then he finds that bit of bare flesh - yeouch! :(

  • What a sweetie. I hope one day o get one of these little pals. How are they around kids? I have a six year old, who is really gentle with animals.

  • @silvibug Well, mine was hand-reared and handled a lot while he was young. If they're used to being handled and like it, then you can pet/cuddle them regularly and they're great with kids. Mine will happily sit on a toddler's chest while being pet once he gets to know them a bit. You do have to watch out for nipping if the handler makes a wrong move, and that can be scary for kids even though it's probably not that harmful. It really depends on the bird.

  • @thegnome54 dude i subbed u coz ur not cruel like others and u sure love that parrot have a good one

  • their beaks draw blood though...

  • Bhanu's a sweetheart, I especially love his impression of a dripping tap :D

  • hes soo cuteeeeeeeee

  • If there is anyone with good knowledge on Alexandrine Parakeets and Indian Ring-necks please PM me. I have few a questions i need help with regarding my parrot which i have found 6 months ago.

  • males get there ring when they are 2

  • Did you know

The Indian Ringneck Parrot (aka Indian Ringneck Parakeet).

Although Officially Classified as a Parakeet - Indian Ringnecks are True Parrots.

Indian Ringnecks are comical, very intelligent, and make great pets. They learn quickly and love to be the center of attention.

Arguably, the Indian Ringneck's talking a...bility is superior to every bird except for the African Grey. They are able to pronounce words with amazing clarity and easily compete with Quakers and Amazons.

  • that is a very smart bird!adorable! :)

  • This is so adorable. I want one! Are they noisy?

  • I dont own one, but I've heard they can be noisy. If you teach them to talk, though, they wont squawk as much

  • @CygnusSkyfire I have no problem with mine being noisey! Very Fast Learners too!

  • Aww, this one's still young, isn't he/she? It also seems like it's just learning how to vocalize. How cute <3

  • wow he's so smart I'm impressed, my Squeaky doesn't do any of that she's clueless sometimes

she likes to take food off your plate, chew on your shoes especially sandels lol and she's already broken out of her cage 5 times with locks, that girl is strong lol

  • what the heck!? i keep seeing males with no black rings.....i thought they where the only ones with black rings...he's still cute maybe he can hook up with my Squeaky

  • they get the ring when they mature, i think when they're a year old or something, the ones without rings are babies or females, (i think babies have darker eyes though, not sure)

  • i think bhanu is a pretty cool guy. eh whistles and doesn't afraid of anything!

  • thanks for this. My Indian Ringneck just passed away this weekend. She was 26 a looked exactly like yours. Still having a hard time getting over it.

  • sorry to hear about your bird : (

  • @strkeout yeah they become a big part of your life verry special creatures

  • Aww so adorable! :)

What is the song at 0:51 ?

  • sooooo cute !

  • aww, so sweet, just like my irn bluey...hes blu...didnt used to be liked to be picked up at all, now he tolerates it...still doesnt really like it

  • im getting a baby hand fed tomorro any suggestions?!

  • yes give it to me lol hehe jkingg u shod do a lott of reaseach before u buy it ...or give it to meeeeee

  • Soooo cute! I do a lot of that stuff with my cockatiel, Mickey. She hasn't learned how to drink from the faucet yet, though. Thanks for posting!

  • I cant wait to HAVE ONE

  • Aw, your IRN is so adorable!...I have one too...I have some questions...how did you tame him so well? how old is he? and what is the food that you gave him on the string?

  • good family and smart parrot.. :X:X:X:X:X i love you !

  • I love it at 4:44. It's so cute :P

  • How adorable! You're bird is so lucky to have an owner like you! I like when your dad? uses a pen as a microphone, lol very cute!

  • looks just like my mom's bird - Pretty Ricki.

  • Lol your bird is awesome, now im even more excited to getting one =]

  • 8:19 ahahah fantastic!

  • What do you feed your ringneck?

  • A lot of the same foods that we eat, but less of the fat and salty stuff. Lots and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

  • @thegnome54

They love green chillies, banana and sunflower seeds. Had a couple of them when I was young

  • he is SO lovely! Wonderfully tamed.

  • You are very luck because of your parrot , Bhanu :) he's realy great ;)

  • Bhanu is so smart! It's good to see that he trained you to tie a biscut on the end of a string so he could eat it!

  • your parrot is so friendly...really feeling good to see him

  • can't understand *

  • is he always that peaceful? never bites? 'cause mine disrupts my fingers :((

  • I've trained him to push me with his beak instead of biting. He rarely does hurt me now.

  • and how did you do that? mine was very peaceful and friendly when i got him.. and after only three days he started biting... since then he bites me all the time. when i try to take him on the finger, he stays calm for a couple of seconds then he starts with the biting :(

honestly, i can' understand his behavior. the funny thing is that he only bites my boyfriend and me. with strangers he's so friendly. i think he has smth with us :(

  • My bird used to bite when I tried to touch him, but I trained him to push me away with his beak instead, which he does to this day. The trick is to ignore their bites, on flinching or verbal reactions, and NOT move your finger away until they accidentally push it a bit with their beaks. Then leave immediately and don't bother them.

  • After lots of trials, they will become convinced that their bites don't do anything, and the only effective way to get people to leave is to push with their beaks. From then on, if you respect their signals, they will feel secure in their ability to make you leave if they don't want you around, and will be much less nervous about being handled against their will. It's all about respect and giving them the power to tell you to leave them alone.

  • :) ok, thanks. i knew that you have to ignore their bites, but when the blood comes out it's a little bit harder ;)

  • My IRN used to be notorious for biting but now she just shoves my finger away no matter how pissed she is at me for whatever I'm doing. She picked up the pushing on her own because I'd give her beak a little flick if she bit me. She then realized that it was unacceptable to bite. Sometimes she would chew my skin too, not aware that that's actually a part of my body so I would pull her beak away.

  • Sometimes, it's I need to move her and she's being stubborn, but other than that I leave her alone if she gives me the look. It's almost like a scene from a horror movie... Her eyes dilate and she slowly turns her 180 degrees head making the most evil sound. That's creepy enough in itself just to back off, physical harm or not. My bird has come a long way from how she used to act, though. IRNs require a lot of patience and consistency with training or else they can revert to nasty habits.

  • Bhanu is awesome, its great how you are able to play with him, he loves the attention.

Bhanu is soo clever, love when he went searching for the inhailer in the bed. After you cheated he looked at you first. Very clever bird.

Thanks for sharing the video, congrats on such an awsome birdie

    Billie

  • Really cute bird. Birds make the best pets!

  • why is everything upside down??

  • nice bird :D

  • thats soo cute i have an indian ringneck who chases the mouse on the computer screen i think she maybe a he.... but she is soo naughty they are awesome

  • clever parrot he is very cute

  • haha that was cruel playing all those tricks on it.. loll its nice how close u 2 seem, ur a good pet owner stimulating ur bird all that much.., ill have to ask though, im thinking of getting two of those birds but i dont know if its better. i just dnt want it to be lonely when im not around

  • How old was it when you got it? how much training did it take to get to that level? thanks

  • What's the name of that song?

  • Bongo Bong by Manu Chao.

  • I have been looking for a ring neck but everyone tells me they are not good pets and yet yours looks awsome. Was yours hand fed before you got him or parents fed?

  • Hi Riverbugs4, that's not true that they aren't good pets. What they probably mean is, this species usually doesn't care to be handled. They want your attention, & to be with you, but most of them don't like to be petted or touched. Every bird is an individual, so there might be some out there that do. Mine didn't, but he would let me "scritch" his head.

  • Did u wean it or did u buy it tamed or just at a randim store because i realy want one of the blue ones but i actualy want it to be nice and not bite

    (alot)

  • ^^ Very very cute~ How old is he? I have a ringneck too. :3

  • I like how you trick him..Ha Ha.But he is smart. And very alive mentally.Much more active that some other parrots

  • ohh i have a green indian ringneck too! i think same age as yours, born feb 06.

he just got his ring last year or the year before that like yours. my IRN does heaps of the things that yours does! lol someday i should do a video of my baby xDD

  • LOL when you say "you're upside down" the parakeet jus has a look on it's face like "oh shit, i can't do anything!"

  • He is so cute. I am jealous.

  • excellent video! i loved the hide and seek part on the bed. i have an opportunity to get an indian ringneck but i'm concerned it will fight or terrorize my ringneck dove and rabbit who also roam freely around my home. do they get along well with other pets?

  • Sorry, I only have him, so I don't know. They do seem pretty territorial at times, though.

  • How old is he now? How old he was in the video? And how old was him when you bought him? hahaha sorry for many questions. Does he have the ring?

  • Okay, so I think he was born sometime in early 2006. We got him when he was a few months old. In this video, he was probably around one and a half, and now he's around two. He's got a ring now! haha

  • Ringneck doesn't generally like to get petted. The most bodycontact you can get with it maybe heat scratching and never pet/play with their tails, they hate it. Also you have to interact with ringneck everyday and otherwise they will get un-tame.

  • valuable video for me anyway, cause you showed a whole gamet of these parrots in all sorts of situations. I finally got a feel of what an IR would "really" be like.

    Thanks!

  • this is the cutest parrot in the whole world!

  • this is my new acount pzl answere to this: CAN SOMEBODEY HELP ME. i'm doing so hard my best but my ringneck don't whant to be taim sometimes i can rub her head but she will bite me anyway.

And otherwise only i can come to her. i just whant her out of her cage whit me in my seat.

can sombodey help me PLEAS!! i love her so much but my hand is bitten like hell.

  • OMG i have a Green indian ring neck, which i believe is a girl, she is just over 1 year old, but as yet only can say minimal words and whistles and she wont let me get her out from her cage, and minimal patting, my ears are bitten and my fingers regularly, she wasn't like this at a younger age, but i've since had a son, whom i think she is jealous of... i need help too!!!

  • whats your ringnecks name?

  • hey do u know where i can buy one of those?

    thx

  • my damn dad thinks ringnecks are dumb but i still think ringnecks are the cutest aff all parakeets

  • Ringnecks are actually technically parrots, they're only referred to as "parakeets" because of their unusually long tails. As far as intelligence goes, they can talk and they have the mental capacities of roughly a human two-year-old at maturity. That's pretty damned smart for a bird. =)

  • I've never heard of that bird before. Awesome video!

  • Your little ringneck is absolutely adorable. Reminds me of when i had a bird. She is so cute. And she's extremely beautiful. <3

  • Its a boy actually ... his ring is developing

  • Loved the bit where the asthma inhaler was being hidden under the sheets. The talking into the pen part was cute too. Gorgeous bird :)

  • Thats so funny! When you were tricking him with the blanket and watever that thing u were hiding from her! I just got an irn two days ago! albino.

  • Depends how much you are willing to spend beacuase indian ringnecks will cost anwhere from 200-1000$ and cockatiels around 40-100. Indian ringnecks are bigger bite harder but are smarter and can talk better. Cockatiels aren't that great at talking, bites don't really hurt so if your a first time bird owner I prefer a cockatiel if not than it's your choice. PS: Don't get it from a pet shop goggle or yahoo,AOl whateveryou use "Indian Ringneck or/Cockatiel breeders Illinois. Hope this helped

  • Thats how you got your IRN or did you buy it online?

  • Yes, I did not buy it online and I think your not able to buy online . I used the internet because most breeders advertise on the internet

  • Yea i know their Illegal in newjersey but i could still own one if i just find a local breeder round here or in NY, wish me luck!

  • Wonderful Ringneck you have, a very special feathered friend you got there, make sure you look after him well xxx I love the sheets part and the mouse on the screen part, lol, so funny, beautiful :)

  • loL!! We're you watching Tim Kelly's "all of the 3 ball tricks" at 0:54??

But yeah, I agree about the Indian Parakeets. They're awesome hehe

  • when you had your bird go under the sheets, i was smiling so much. that was so cute.

  • ... your house looks big does ur bird sometimes fly around and get lost?

  • if everyones talking about not getting them from a pet store can u plz tell me how 2 find breeders :-D

  • bhanus cute im getting one pretty soon i want to know how much they should cost on average in canada cuz im thinking of getting it from a breeder

  • Bhanu is so tame and sweet. Does he sometimes bite?

  • rofl you stole my parrot :D

  • I didn't want to..but by the end of the video I have to admit that Bhanu is indeed awesome. Thanks for posting.

  • lol "whatchyou gona do? your upside down you cant do anything" haha im thinking of getting one how much whould a green or blue one cost at a pet store?

  • I wouldn't advise getting them from a petstore the ones at petstores usually are aggressive or not but Id advise breeders as they know what they're doing

  • I agree with this statement. People really shouldn't buy animals from pet stores, they are usually kept in cruel conditions, and the store workers aren't always trained in how to look after them.

  • Although I do agree with the fact that No Animal Should be bought from pet stores I do not always disagree with it... IRN are a seriously misunderstood parrot... They are much like Teenagers... They will see how far they can push their limits... Bird Farms are nice places to get birds... as long as they are reputable and seem to atleast know what they are doing! MY IRN was a holy terror when I got him and he was Hand-raised and bought from a breeder. Look up bluffing you in IRN extreamly common!
