Limiting!?!?!?!!? If you cant tell by the video hes not limited by anything. Also, I've seen this guy play several times and he also plays with "proper" form as well. And yes.... He can make full, fat sounding walking bass lines in that position. Don't act like you know everything. Nothing is more annoying that a self appointed genius in the bass world.

Because that's the way it is. I'm so tired of people questioning why people do what they do. hE PLAY'S THAT WAY BECAUSE HE'S COMFORTABLE THAT WAY. dUMB ASS. It's his style.

unfunctional means that something isn't functional - doesn't work. I think this guy is more than functional with his technique. He is brilliant.

in fact its not only unfunctional, its way limiting. i'd like to see him making a CLEAN sounding walking bass. that position restricts so many posibilities and that finally means music.

since now i haven't seen where this technique is limiting him. but i don't know if he's able to play a clean walking bass as you would enjoy. by the way, he also play in the normal style.

he just incorperated the technique across because it was more comfortable
