Why does "Turn off safety mode" at the bottom of the screen not work even when you put turn off safety mode and it even tells you Safety mode has been successfully unlocked" It still blocks what ever video you were trying to watch. if it was still going to be blocked anyway why even have that as an option? Can some please tell me how to turn off safety mode for good, because if it is that bad it shouldn't even be on Youtube. So could someone please help me?

But I don't think that's the general filter ;) The filter itself could be set more effective like when the movie depicts a racist message or slanders too much. But sometimes there are cut out parts of documantations which I don't understand and even despise! Nice Vid!
My Parents recently enabled safety mode on my computer. Our feelings are mutual, as it does truly suck. I tried disabling it, though I think it is locked. I can't watch half of the videos on Youtube. It's pure stupidity. I do not need protection from pixels.
i think the intent is a good concept...problem is they're reacting to millions..yes millions of complaints and then tweaking to accomodate everyone. here's the deal. 90% of the complaints are from parents with kids who have smartphones. it's embedded in the os's and you can't get rid of it. ooops.....safety mode dont cover mobile devices with embedded youtube. sounds like google/youtube needs to get their act together. in the meantime lets pound these "gurus" til they get it right
