I didn't realize you were running avgas. I know of one ST that ran 13 PSI on pump for a while. Finally it blew a ringland but the owner suspected it was more due to a rough tune.
I am currenly running 6 PSI on my stock internal blacktop (11:1 compression) on a GZE ECU and frankenstein electronics. I feel like I could run more but don't want to pop it just yet. I think you guys could get a lot more out of it.
Great video. I am also going to be turboing my silvertop aw11 in the near future and am interested in some build pics for inspiration. 110RWKW is a bit on the low side though? I've heard of someone making 135RWKW on 5psi. Is this because your VVT isn't hooked up?
Yep VVT will make the difference, last dyno was with a split intake plenum, torque drops off at 6000rpm. power peaked 114kw, but level bewteen 6 and 8000rpm. Don't know how to post photos on ytou tube.
Since uprated with LSD, single throttle body, new plenum, Link G4 ECU, makes 177rwkw @ 6900rpm and 13psi. Peak Power not affected by VVT. VVT is effective and active up to 6000rpm: e.g 120rwkw at 4500rpm)
Engine is standard silvertop, but has freshly rebuilt short block.
Standard C52 5 speed box. TRD LSD.
We have also fabricated new bottom for sump sump: with baffles & 6 litre capacity. On circuit with standard sump, bearings ran out of oil very quickly around right hand turns.
