@16sportyshorty94 Yes, Jesus rushes in and takes the beating that is meant for her (us)! Of course defeats all the forces of evil and saves her. But He had to wait till she made the first move to come back (it is always her/our decision, God does not force us), A signal (prayer) from her and he was in there fighting for her, boots n all. And notice how when the battle is all over, He doesnt launch into a lecture about her doing the wrong thing and drifting away from him etc but just loves her.

Wow. I'm generally not impressed with church dramas I've seen. But this one 'bout knocked me out of my chair. Incredibly powerful depiction of how Jesus/God love us so much that He'll take on every force of evil, ward off the temptations that constantly surround us, and is forever there watching over and protecting us. (if we'll only let Him...) Big two-thumbs-up to the guys (and ladies) who pulled off an amazing job on this.

I never said the casting was deliberate. it was more likely subconscious. which makes racism so much more sinister... because the people who casted the play subconsciously put people in the role they were in because they have, as we all have, been so ingrained in racial stereotypes their whole lives.

we did this skit at my church, and all black church. God was protrayed by a black woman. this skit is so powerful, it brought tears to my eyes and a resolution to read my Bible more and prayer more often. i don't like this version, however, because it has obvious racial undertones. why were all the minorities cast as the "sins." as a minority myself, that makes me angry and disappointed in the church. i wouldn't recommend this version. watch the other ones that aren't racist.

Amen tlcollins7106! Everyone knows that certain colors stand for different things. Any English teacher would tell you that. Purple is royalty, white is pure, red is love, black is sin. All colors carry a meaning. It's not saying that a person with that color is bad. Collins is right. The racism that George found is completely made up. Yes these people probably volunteered, but somebody put them into the roles in which they acted. And that means that that person subconsciously casted the colored people as the sins. I'm not saying it was intentional. Merely racial prejudice is so deeply ingrained within the church that it influenced the casting of this skit. To this day churches are still the single most segregated area in our lives here in the U.S.

During Church Camp, a group of people did this skit, and when they were done, there wasn't a single dry-eyed girl in the entire camp area. But some of the guys had the nerve to laugh at the people onstage during the skit. Can you believe that?! How much more rude and insulting could they have gotten?

I think this is a beautiful skit, very appropriate for what Christians are facing in the world right now. I struggle with these things, too, sometimes.
