  • this is the voice of God

  • I dont compare Scroobius Pip to God, because Pip IS God.

  • There is 996 words in the song, Amazing . If only the poems I learned in school was half as good as this

  • Haha, the discription says: This is the same Scroobius Pip from Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, how many other Scroobius Pips are there?

  • hands down amazing, absolutely beautiful, this song conveys emotion so strong, similar; to immortal tech dance with the devil, Tupac dear mama and eminem stan among others,

  • wait does he really say 1000 words in this song?

  • @CookieOnMyShoulder My friend says it's 994.

  • nice poem Dave

  • I'm enjoyin' this chatter no doubt. (^ー^)ノ♥

  • So you can't buy this album anymore? No fair, I love his poetry but I only learned about Pip and Dan a couple days ago ):

  • This shit is great.

  • waow... thanks man

  • intense eargasm

  • this is the greatest thing ever

  • A burritos worth a thousand turds and with these thousand turds I'll clog a hundred toilets unlike anything you've ever heard.

  • I like that he doesn't waste a lot of time on a catchy chorus.

  • Scroobius Pip is a Grand Oral Disseminator

  • No one actually specified which of the many gods we were talking about here.

  • if you like this then check "Another Day in the life by Brown Bear" promis yall you will love it

  • all i'm thinking is what kind of people disliked this song, wow...

  • I got 996 words???

  • i dont know why people compare scroobius pip to god

i mean i like him but hes no pip..

  • @tomockonher did you really just say that? not even in jest. God is #1 always dumb ass

  • @hk1395 Take the cross out of your fanny before you type.

  • @hk1395 Wow your a bitch. Stop preaching that shit to other ppl. if gods real then he/she knows who believes and who doesnt. u have no right to say that shit. go beat off to the bible and get paper cuts on ur balls.

  • @hk1395 you make people of faith look like assholes

  • @SchnitzelCat that's because, generally speaking, they are.

  • @tomockonher nice one

  • @tomockonher ... original

  • @tomockonher

    hahaha thats whats up!!

  • @tomockonher hahaha your going to hell......jk.......kinda.....lol no but seriously I am joking

  • @tomockonher Ha brilliant

  • @tomockonher "Thou shalt not put musicians on ridiculous pedastels nomatter how good they are or were" Scroobius.

  • i love this man.

  • this needs more views

  • @YESIFUL2K11 a lot more

  • they say a picture's worth a thousand words.. whereas a few notes allude to memories of those brighter worlds

  • I wonder if that was really 1000 words..

  • @RAAWRimmaPANDA It is.

  • @waldron76

    How do you know kid

  • @GordenBrown3D i was sad enough to count to make sure, if you count the numbers as words it is exactly 1000 words

  • Omg I love this please make more like this and I don't want to sound stuiped but were you in a coma

  • It's not rare, you just don't know hip hop. There is a ton of it out there, but it's not as popular as Scroobius Pip. Check out Blu or Mummy Fortunas Theatre company.

  • I counted 1006

  • I counted 996.

  • 6 people lack the intelligence to understand why this is solid gold.

  • @MrSethElkins He would hate YOUR GENERIC BORING UNORIGINAL COMMENT cunt

  • greatest poet every lived !

  • @deanoisbadist if you are going to make a comment about a poet, please make sure it is grammatically correct

  • @9868john If you're gonna be a twat, please make sure it's to someone who's giving this video a bad rating not someone who's saying something good about it. P.S you also have made a grammatical error. No capitol letter at the beginning of your sentence and there's no need for a comma in between poet and please. Thanks, bye :)

  • wow this is some of pips best work

  • Fuck me.

  • Scroob for president.

  • heh_ï_fÈÈl_so_lÖnèly_tøÐÃý

  • I love the Gil reference.

  • @ICANTSMELLYOU yeman are you kidding? thanks for uploading this! peace x

  • He oddly sounds like David Walliams.

  • his more profound songs are almost as glorious as his beard... and i'm pretty sure his beard is the most glorious bunch of facial hair i've seen

  • @pontyhorse oh check out matisyahu's beard, it's similarly glorious

  • Dankje wel Jan! xd

  • Funny how Youtube's automatic transcription can't handle regional accents.

  • greatest lyrics ever

  • Wow. And you have to listen to every single word because he's telling it to you. Scroobius Pip must change people at least, if he doesnt change their lives.

    <3

  • true sound

  • @ICANTSMELLYOU I'de like to thank you for the UPLOAD! Sickkness..

  • @ICANTSMELLYOU Why? You're not Scroobius Pip are you?

  • Yo, am an aussie, love this dude, wish scroobius would tour country Aus. Beautiful, purely beautiful lyrics, so much crappy hiphop/rap out there, wonderful that the decaying empire still produces the best music in the world (xcept aussie hiphop :))!

  • @gytscopter No one gives a fuck if your an aussie (:

  • @ICANTSMELLYOU I would like to thank you for uploading this.

    Awesome lyrics by the way.

  • It's cool that this song actually has a thousand words.

  • i love it but what ever happened to dan?

  • @grahamkenan this album was made before their cooperation i think

  • epic.

  • extreme

  • AMAZING.

  • the time a last 'rapper' that made me feel this engaged was the early streets stuff.

    this is very good.

  • Stunning.

  • fabulous.

  • Spoken word poetry, almost a rap, but more advanced. Something in it's own class. Nothing similar right now. It reaches inside and gives you a feeling of hope.

  • @NoahLDiamond fuck off

  • the most brilliant lyricist ive come across so far

  • There are better ones, I've only just discovered Pip and he is brilliant, but if you want to hear the very best I'd point you towards Saul Williams or Conor Oberst.

  • I'm adding Akira the Don to that list for British representation.

  • @Lozzo1212 sage francis too.

also, kudos on ATD, dude's a god

  • I'd also add Talaam Acey and Tom Waits to that list. :)

  • *Taalam Acey (curse my crap spelling)

  • dont forget b dolan and sage francis.. theyre both amazin

  • Loved this song. But the picture painted in my mind actually did follow the rule of thirds.

  • I agree with you all, this song was a complete revelation to me, I feel as though i have had an epiphany!

  • thank f@*k for real lyricists

  • @aleaz23

    You misspelt fuck

  • @GuanabanaGanja SHEEEEEEIIIIIIIIITT REALLY

  • @aleaz23 my name is shaniqua and what?, this music such a contrast to stuff like N-dubz and such.

  • "Always speak you mind, even if your voice shakes"

    ~Unknown

  • I want this album!

  • I'm actually in love with this song. Scroobuis Pip is a lyrical Genius, my mind was opened when I heard Thou Shalt Always Kill last year, I just never knew he had a solo album.

  • I enjoy poetry

this is the best ive heard in a long while

  • which version of "my funny valentine" is the piano sample from?

  • I found myself the day I first heard Scroobius Pip.

    Ah, I love him.

    (:

  • This is great

  • this is very similar to Waiting for the Beat to Kick in

  • i thought so too, both still good though!

  • of course :)

  • Just that that song got a really cool powerful part at the end. :)

This one is quiet the whole time.

Which is good, because variation is always good. :)

  • of course :)

  • when stoned, this song completely rules, i can close my eyes and watch it all, same w/ angles

  • lol :P

  • Dont need to be stoned. Just to listen.

Which is so rare that I had to switch my brain to a different mode before listening his album. :D

  • I don't think i've heard a song by him that i don't enjoy.. :)

  • @jelleeface peace!!

  • @jelleeface i gotta agree wiv you :-)

  • this song really makes you think

  • I wish I knew him as well as I feel I do after listening to both of his albums.

    ):

    He's an amazingly talented guy (: <3

    x

  • erm, I'll just toss in that No Commercial Breaks describes this album perfectly. There are none. This particular song is one of my favourites.

  • to be fair drugs are what makes rock n roll what it is. all the way through history people have been shooting up and shagging stars. its not like pete invented it. the beatles wouldnt have written such music without acid or whatever they were on. in no way am i promoting drugs or the use of drugs, but its free will. and god we are the stupid people that read about rockstars habbits and lifestyles and feed their habbits and lifestyles.

more importantly scroobious pip is a lyrical genious. x

  • btw beatles were LSD hense Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds aha yes drugs are what makes mgmt's music so chill and good

  • so relaxing, scroobs is awesome, i'm so glad i've found this album

  • Good shit.

  • i got this off ebay too, signed by the man with the beard himself!

    awesome track.

  • know where i can get hold of this?

  • love this man! Saw him and Dan le Sac at cheltenham, they were truly amazing!!

  • they are awesome, scroob still does alone shows rarely but he does, i saw him and dan in leeds

  • @ICANTSMELLYOU what at Leeds fest, that was a great gig

  • @alex18890 was that at greenbelt festival?

  • :D

    This rules

  • this is the best track ever made! great maze-like poetry and simple, beautiful piano layer...love it

  • The man is an absolute lyrical genius!

  • also listen to love like this and first time i met musik, also songs with stand out lyrics

  • They don't even compare.

  • for me this man is up there with joes strummer, bob dylan, morrisey, richey edwards and pete doherty

  • you did not just put doherty in the same list as dylan and strummer. please tell me it was a typo.

  • Keep to your own opinion and let him have his own. Holster your voice.

  • i could say the same to you. loving the misuse of 'holster' kiddo.

  • its his opnion. doherty deserves to be up there as much of the rest of them, his music is genius.

  • this is my opinion. he doesn't. it isn't. glad we could sort this out.

  • dont state it as if its fact then.

  • haha. son, you just did exactly that. fact.

  • I agree Doherty belongs there with Dylan and Strummer and Scroobius Pip

  • doherty belongs in a casket

  • objectively, dylan and strummer represented respective breaking points in musical and artistic culture that influenced politics and the collective conscience of a generation. doherty does drugs.

  • im not your son. and whats wrong with drugs. i do drugs.

  • so do i. it doesn't make me a genius. and let's face it, that's all doherty is known for.

  • so what was the need to point out that doherty does too? And yeah, alot of people know pete for his habits but that doesnt take away from the fact that a lot of people also know and love him for his music. its just down to personal taste. i dont even particularly like dylans music, but i can still appreciate the talent behind it.

  • i've been to more babyshambles concerts than i care to count, believe me i'm a fan. but he has no place in the big leagues. dylan, strummer, morrison, springsteen. those guys changed history. that's why they're famous. why is doherty so famous? drugs and kate moss. that's my point.

  • fair enough i agree with the reasons pete is famous, which is unfortunate thats all people see, but bein more famous for his habits dont mean hes any less talented. so my point is that its down to someones own personal perspective on petes material. i think its as good as dylans, some dont.

  • Is it about changing history or about music, mate? For me its about the music(with doherty) i mean i love dylan and strummer for what they did outside music, but they are only musicians.

  • what do you think changed history? the men or their music?

  • i'd have to say the men, souly because with out the men fighting for the freedom, we wouldn't have the music,

  • i would say music, solely because without the music no-one would remember their names.
