The beard is a fardh like every other fardh. You are not the one to say what is important or not. Rasoolullah SAW* commands us, we hear and we obey.

Wrong!!! You have to learn and immediatly practice that is the actual thing Islam teaches. Even if it is a sunnah (though it is wajib and very close to Fardh) it is a positive thing to do and i dont see why people should be against following the sunnah of Prohet SAW

Bro zkak jews and chrisitians are not kuffars. They are people of the book. The hadith never says Mushrik. It says kuffar. Secondly, would you trust a Hadith from someone who refused to take oath of allegiance(bay at) at the hand of the fourth Pious Caliph?? The Prophet SAW* said in Sahih Al Bukhari vol 9 book 92 "Wa sharrul umoori muhdathaatuha wa kulla muhdathatin bida' wa kulla bida'tin dalaala wa kulla dalaalatin fin naar." Meaning every new thing (in worship) is an innovation, every innovation is a misguidance and every misguidance is in the hellfire.

brother the hadeeth as narrated by ibn 'Umar is "Do the opposite of what the PAGANS (MUSHRIKEEN as quoted in the original Arabic text) do, cut the moustaches short and leave the beard (as it is)" Reported by Bukhari

Clearly the Prophet mentioned doing the opposite of the Mushrikeen which means polytheists (who would either shave or keep short beards at the Prophet's time). There is no mention of Jews, christians or Kuffar(all non-muslims).kindly write down wen u hear n dont misquote
