yes its fun to bag herman tilke and i also hate his courses, but do you realise there wouldn't be a single overtake on this circuit? all except one corner (casino, monaco) are high speed taken in 5th, 6th or 7th gear at over 200kph with only one racing line. factor in the difficulties of following in such turbulent air through corners which require maximum downforce, and you get a very challenging but very boring race.

In 2004 and 2005 he raced in Formula 3 Euro-Series, became Champion in 2005. The F3 Euro-Series only races in Europe. In 2006 he drove GP2 and became Champion but GP2 didn't go to Suzuka that year either.

So I have to repeat

For all we know Just for an example if Hamilton was to drive a ferrari in 08 he might be .3 quicker on average than massa. I think its more down to confidence in the driver as to if the car is .3 slower in qualifying.

This is interesting, as well as pretty enlightening. It's notable here that Lewis' track is largely really fast sweepers or kinks, rather than chicanes or sharper curves. I wonder why none of his favorite curves are slow-speed chicanes or hairpins. If you're going to pass in a formula car, that's the place to do it.
