at 6:00 mins, the knife above that looks like antler with metal around it but is fake antler, (its a pocket knife, flip up blade) my dad has the exact same one.... i have a small collection myself.. im only 15 though so i cant legally buy knives but i can make them which is what im doing right know and im about to start making a second one
I like your channel because its unique. FPSrussia and Hickock45 review firearms and then theres the gamers on Youtube like Machinima and IGN. Yours stands out because its a form of weaponry that no one's launched a massive upload of, knives, blades and all sorts of mana of sharpness. Nice video and NICER collection.
I've seen alot of knife collection videos on youtube but I have to say this video actually gave me chills. Not only was the collection impressive, but the knives you spoke of that have seen combat and the fixed blade that was pulled out of your friends leg gave me goosebumps. This is a true memorable collection.
@SuperFendt1995 It is a nice table. As far as the knives goes, Just take your time, enjoy your knives, and add to your collection when you can. It took way over 30yrs to collect these..
@billymayer1000 I'm not sure any blood grooves are effective at all. They were originally called fullers. Some companies added them to cut down on the amount of steel used to make a knife, and sometimes they were used to stiffen a blade. If you think about it, if you stab someone, you do not usually leave the blade there, so a blood groove would not have a chance to work. Even if you did, tissue and skin are pliable so they would still be an obsticle for a blood groove to work. Just my thoughts
@GunznGear It was my understanding that blood grooves make it easier to overcome the suction force when trying to pull a blade out of someone. I was thinking blood grooves work by the grooved section of the blade being having smaller area than the stab hole, causing less suction when pulling the blade out, but it appears that the cut down ones have the groove all the way to the tip end of the blade, and wouldn't work?
@billymayer1000 That may very well be true. I relayed what I've been told before, and I'm certain the some knives may have different reasons for fullers/blood grooves. Actually it would seem that a blood groove would create suction, but I'm guessing. While I do know some of the dialogue surrounding blood groves and fullers, I certainly do not have knowledge on blood grooves as it relates to suction. Sorry
oh man, thats a impressive collection! i cant believe you made that amazing knife at age 14! im 14 i hope i can make a knife that good one day. im really getting into knifes lately, and i also hope to get into knife making as well!
@firedwheelman No, but I do use other knives for a similar role. It's my understanding, that river knives have a blunt tip for use in white water rafting. Back in the day, I used kayack's and now days a canoe. Thanks
y did u skip the coolest knife in ur collection the antler one that one is a thing of beuty man where did u pick that one up? cus i wud want to get one lol
@braseldazzle That is a pretty cool knife. A Father of a friend of mine, made that for me about 15 yrs. ago. I'm sorry to say he's no longer with us. I have seen similar knives offered by Cabelas. the blade is cut from a larger circular saw blade. Thanks

the old Cattaraugus Cutlery Company in little valley ny is about 1hr from my house they wher the first compant to produce the KA-BAR which are now made in olean ny...
