This isn't about censorship. This is about fraud, perjury and conspiracy. Censorship is something we do have to live with in a forum like YouTube. But that is an argument for another day in another place.

I have had 2 vids stolen and perverted.They are without question or doubt mine.The first one, after months,still remains.I can prove beyond and question it's mine.There is more to it than just false claims.Youtube fails yet again!!!

Well said, themeanstoanend! We need to leave no stone unturned as to why YT acts in this completely impersonal way. I know, they cannot possible police millions of users individually, but when their attention is drawn to a valid issue over and over again, they should act accordingly, and quit sending out standard replies. As if every issue can be handled with this user-unfriendly maze of unwieldy forms they have!

You shouldn't have to prove that some perfectly harmless public festival footage is yours, but you do so more than convincingly. Beyond doubt, as they say. I have written to Google. Let's hope their stupidity will end soon and they will finally see the light. It's long overdue!

By actioning DMCA complaints that are obviously filled out with bogus info, You Tube could be exposing themselves to litigation. They need to find some way to ensure that they are actioning DMCAs from real people, and not fake people.
