My brand new Ford Escape 2011 started making that noise after its first highway trip. Not even 1000k on the truck.

Lately mine has sounded very similar, but quieter. Just in the last two days it has increased and I hear a gurgling sound from the rear of my car and now my car pre-detonates ridiculously often. Are you sure its supposed to sound like that?

Mine's always whined since day one. Had it in my car for about 1.5 years before i sold the car and no issues. It's only really loud like in the vid when it's a really hot day. If your car is pinging then the pump could be on it's way out or it could be another problem which you should prolly get checked out.

Yeah my guess is that it is not supplying enough fuel anymore so it is running lean. Thanks for your quick response :)

Haha yeh. Only sounds like that on a hot day after a hard drive. Under normal driving conditions you can hardly hear the fuel pump.
