The truck driver didn't stop, he merely slowed down (technically, he was in violation for not completely stopping until the pedestrian finished crossing the road). The car driver also appeared to be going too fast for a city street, and his illegal speeding probably reduced his reaction time. The pedestrian also should've been a bit more attentive and kept an eye on traffic in *all* lanes.
the right thing to do at a pedestrian crossing is slow down and check for pedestrians instead of speeding past large vehicles that partly block your view!

@EmilioPin you're a ****in moron. read the highway code why don't you. pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way. even if this wasn't on a zebra crossing which it is, the driver would still be 100% at fault. it's the drivers responsibilty to drive safely and be in control at all times.
if this was a 4 year old toddler, you wouldn't be so quick to take the drivers side.

The truck driver didn't stop, he merely slowed down (technically, he was in violation for not completely stopping until the pedestrian finished crossing the road). The car driver also appeared to be going too fast for a city street, and his illegal speeding probably reduced his reaction time. The pedestrian also should've been a bit more attentive and kept an eye on traffic in *all* lanes.
