  • Well, technicllay it's not new... -_____-

  • @DizzyMan24 Chinese reproduction.

  • @Cytacon Oh.. Well, that completley throws away my comment... -___-

  • one day people will realize u can shoot ur fucking foot off by doing such crap

  • How do these lock the bolt?

  • Love this scatter gun!! Mine dates back to 1900. Keep shooting history

  • @RebeltilliDie45

I agree. Unless you're directly affected by someone using a fire arm, then your really just starting an argument.

  • @RebeltilliDie45 you know why?

it's because everyone on here is representing our community of firearm owners, collectors and enthusiasts and we try to correct you on your use/handling so there are fewer incidents and so there is more out there for the people on the anti-gun side to see that we are responsible gun owners not idiots with boom sticks, got it!?

  • @24GordonFan223

You are correct. But there is another side to your argument. Anyone watching said video, taking it as a source of how to shoot a fire arm in such a manner, has the responsibility to make their own safety smart decisions. If you're taking videos like this as means to what general fire arm owners do with their guns, then you need to recheck your facts and stop worrying about people that have hundreds of acres of land to do what they want with their own weapons.Otherwise Step off

  • @24GordonFan223 Run on sentence much?

  • @benpg

  • @RebeltilliDie45 nice argument!

  • Alright I know some of you probably do know alot about gun safety but there's no medals for who knows the most, don't worry about other people unless your affected by it, and dont personally insult people over shooting for god sake, also I did a similar thing the other day, not slam fire but I'm only 14 and there were three rabbits bout 50 meters away moving about and at about the same rate of fire as in this video I got all three in under 5 seconds! :P

  • HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?

If I did that, the first shot I would fly back wards with a dislocated shoulder.

But seriously how did the recoil not push you back?

  • @dasdew2 You are right to some degree. Weight can affect how well you handle the recoil of a firearm but above all other things, it's certainly technique that determines how well you deal with recoil. For example, try firing a G3 Assault Rifle on Full-Auto. It's hard as shit, you might even fall to the ground. However, I've seen Norwegian soldiers manhandle their AR's while standing up.

  • @Card0Sold so i should shoot a 12gauge 1897 in weaver stane(the one the police taught me)?huh

legs shoulder with apart, strong leg back(same side as the hand your pulling the trigger with),knees bent, sholders foward, lean into it.Cant belive that will reduce recoil.

Thanks,im also getting a sholder pad, cosyum fit butt pad, and a slip on pad.Is that enough for the recoil

  • @dasdew2 There really is no correct stance for shooting any kind of firearm. As long as it doesn't hurt you and you are most effective with it, you should use it. If you watched Top Shot Season 2, Jay (The Asian guy) had a very weird way of shooting but yet he was one of the last people to leave the show.

Weaver Stance is pretty standard. I suggest keeping it but if you want to change it, go ahead. With shotguns, I put 80% of my weight on my front foot.

  • @dasdew2 If you want modifications for an 1897, there isn't much on the market because its a really old gun. So as far as it comes to reducing recoil for that shotgun, the only thing you can really rely on is your shooting form, maybe a cheek rest or butt pad.

For other more modular shotguns like the Mossberg 500, 590, Reminton 870 or Benellis, you can add tons of attachments. One of the best ways to reduce recoil on those is a custom polymer stock and recoil compensator.

  • @Card0Sold Where can i find a bayonet lug,trench knife bayone,choke, and heat sheild?

  • @dasdew2 Honestly, I don't know. There are certainly parts out there you can order from original Model 1897's (screws, bolts) but the the thing is that they are so old, no one really modifies them. Its like sporterizing an original flintlock rifle; its useless and shouldn't be done because of its historic value.

What I suggest you do is find a shotgun that is similar to the 1897 and then buy the parts for it so you can match it to the 1897. If it doesn't work out, you should return the parts.

  • @Card0Sold I've already found some replicas for sale, none are american made but they're still good quality

    Thanks for the info

    Take care.

  • @dasdew2 Yeah, your welcome. Try looking at military surplus stores. Maybe they are selling WW II or Pre-WW II parts for this gun. Most likely a bayonet or heat shield. But yea, Good luck!

  • @RebeltilliDie45

Because I care about everyone's safety..

  • I JUST MASTURBATED TO THIS VIDEO.

  • Oh how cute, its the crew from Red Dawn

  • @ANGRYSECTI0N8 WOLVERINES!

  • @ANGRYSECTI0N8 WOLVERINES!!

  • LOL shotgun machine gun

  • i bet that was fun to do cool vid

  • @RebeltilliDie45 it makes all gun owners look bad when people who don't know how to handle guns properly hurt themselves or others.

  • wow, just as i thought, people trolling about how much they think they know about firearms.

  • Cool video. Zombie slayer if I have ever seen one

  • DAM man hows your shoulder after firing that thing!? nice video!

  • Does that harm the gun?

  • wow.super soaker of lead =P

  • @RebeltilliDie45 Safety is for fools without common sense.

  • HHHHHNNNNNGGGGGGGG do want.

  • you can all suck my balls for no reason...

  • @RebeltilliDie45 I completely agree with you, we should all encourage strangers on the internet to drink drive too, who cares if some poor neighbors in some other country or city get ran over.

  • @aaron4820 He not encouraging him to slam fire, he's saying leave people to their own devices. Encouraging driving drunk has nothing to do twith this.

  • @bc3333333 no he's telling people to shut the fuck up about teaching gun safety on the internet because apparently everyone should care for themselves and we shouldn't have to care for the wellbeing of others. he's a self centered fuck

  • aswome.plain aswome.

  • @RebeltilliDie45 You spoke your opinion of other peoples' opinion, and then I spoke my opinion based off of yours.

Your "statement' was your opinion. Deal with it.

  • guns are gay. you are gay.

  • @SaygoodbyetoMrJones that comment... you probably think that Primus doesn't suck

  • @SgtZaqq hahaha nice comment. i just think guns are stupid, sorry man.

  • @SaygoodbyetoMrJones so why you watch vids with guns? ;)

  • @RebeltilliDie45 You made a public statement, therefore you have to expect public critsism. If you don't like people voicing their opinions on your opinions keep them to yourself, or at least don't post them on a public site. No one asked for your opinion, but you still gave it.

I don't think it's "cool" to correct someone, I just don't want to see someone get hurt while using a gun, that makes all gun owners look bad, something I also don't want to see.

  • @RebeltilliDie45 Dick head? I merely offered a response to your comments. It's alright for you to assert your opinions but you don't like it when other people do it?

Grow up. If you can't handle other people voicing their opinions what makes you think we want to hear yours. Like I said before, improper gun safety affects all gun owners through laws that can and will be passed.

  • @RebeltilliDie45 Because when the idiots that don't follow proper safety precautions go and accidently shoot themselves or their friends more gun laws are passed which effect all of us.

  • @harrisboy42 actually when i was in the military i saw alot of accidental discharges from some of whom were trained individuals. Many of them from non American military's. so no accidental discharges can happen to any one who is careless with a firearm

  • @RebeltilliDie45 Well maybe he doesent want someone to blow thier friends or their own fucking head off and hes just trying to help and your being a douche fuck.

  • this gun is hella old

  • @RebeltilliDie45 Well said :)

  • @RebeltilliDie45 Good call

  • pretty sure it isnt a slam fire...it's called no trigger disconnect. Meaning you hold the trigger down and pump and it will fire. Ithica model 37s did had this feature too.

  • @hardluckking13 when this gun was made it was stated in the actual manual that this was considered slam firing. This is an old military shotgun and they made it that way so that it can b quickly fired to spray a small area. with later weapons that operated like this they coined the term trigger disconnect but slam fire still stuck for this one.

  • slam firing is not recommended, can cause damage to your gun

  • I would consider it to be minor in nature (considering I don't think he's pointing it in an unsafe direction at the time).

  • I'm huge into safety and I honestly disagree with the criticism. The point of the video is to demonstrate the slam fire capacity of the weapon (which requires the trigger to be depressed before the round is chambered). Arguably he could have opted to only demonstrate it on subsequent rounds, but it really isn't a safety issue. On his return to the truck he is decocking the weapon by holding down the trigger then slowly dropping the hammer. This last part might be a safety violation but...

  • That's all? Looks as though your buddy is falling asleep. jk

  • @harrisboy42 no its not actually even if you personally unload every slug or bullet out of a gun that gun should still and should always be considered loaded you fucken moron

  • haha cool beans

  • @harrisboy42 You are an idiot if you aren't anal with guns someone can be seriously injured you retard. Guns aren't toys. The fact that you seem so fine with the idea of mistakes happening shows how dumb you are. Accidents don't just happen, negligence does.

  • "hahahaha... jared"

  • Sorry, but that is NOT a slam gun.

A slam gun is homemade out of black pipe. There is no stock, just the pipes and the shell, yep, one at a time. Its a last ditch effort for defense. I really wouldn't want to fire one unless it was THE last defense.

  • @TelcoPhil that's a zip gun. and this isn't a slam gun, it's a trench shotgun being slam-fired.

  • Why does everyone bitch about gun safety?

Every firearms video youtube there is some fucking kid bitching about finger control or safety. Yes finger control is very important but.......

The gun here is unloaded, we all saw it.

It's like telling someone to get their foot off the gas petal when the car isn't even on.

    God damn.

  • @Migs4000 Nice!

  • is this intentional or a malfunction?

  • Take your finger off the trigger, for God's sake it's driving me crazy.

  • @SepticProductions Then don't watch or at least don't comment.

  • from a scale to one to ten how much kick would you say the m97 has???

  • @killa9599 *recoil*

  • the last few seconds were set up.. its so gay to see this asshole trying to look cool but they are all assholes -.-

  • this vid appears to be missing another high rated comment

  • Not a trench model, this is the civilian riot version. The trench version of the 1897 featured a heat shield, bayonet lug and sling swivels.

  • can you do this with modern shotguns too?

  • @gunsmith93 no they stated to put trigger disconnecters in the guns in the late 1950's

  • isnt dangerous slam firing a shotgun?

  • YEA TURN THE VIDEO OFF DAMMIT!!!

  • u got it in control, nice one!! and forget about all those"safety first"guys, slam firing like that was already not a safe way to handle a firearm anyway. just hv some fuking fun!!

  • i want one

  • beast...

  • That's good for it...

But yes, even if it's unloaded, treat it as if it were. Prevents accidents by keeping you in the habit.

  • @Futzyy Smart people!

  • how much did you get that trench gun for? I have been kinda looking for one lately. It would be a great piece to my collection and just to shoot for fun.

  • didn't he put on the safety to at about 0:7 or hammer i dont know i here something click

  • Slam-firing a M1897? Hoo boy, the Germans in WW1 absolutely HATED when we did that.

  • @Totallyfizzle lmao

  • I want that.

  • Is that a 12 gauge? The barrel looks too big to be a 12 gauge.

  • Bad. ASS.

  • Love the receding bolt on it!

  • hahaha YES nice gun by the way

  • turn the video off, for god sakes, this drives me crazy

  • rednecks

  • he is gangsta

  • did anyone besides me notice he had his finger on the trigger before and after and walked past his freind while his finger was still on the trigger dumbasses

  • @airsoftloverusp at least he checked the chamber

  • Well, you are right for about 3 seconds, but Notice you cant see the trigger when he's at the jeep? Then gun is not pointed at anything but ground, and the hammer is down, along side with the fact that he checked to see that all shells are expelled... I know i was there... Check your facts next time buddy...

  • @00dempsey how gray

  • @00dempsey but still..even if its empty you alwasy treat a firearm as if its loaded no matter what..just like you never point a gun at anything unless you are goign to shoot it.same with the finger on the trigger.never on the trigger unless you are firing it..i mean i dont care either way..i mean hes a big boy he can do what he wants

  • @00dempsey if you look and really listen he puts it in half cock

  • @00dempsey even do the gun is not loaded or cocked it should still be treated like if it was so

  • @00dempsey

you can even see him decocking the hammer.

  • @00dempsey That's what happens when an airsofter/youtuber tries to correct and judge someone. And if the cameraman was shot... it would be on youtube for all of us to see, right? =D

  • @00dempsey

    ahhaa, "airsoftloverusp"

    oh man.

  • @00dempsey His point was that a gun should always be treated as if it was loaded and you should never have your trigger on the finger unless you're ready to fire the gun.. I know practicing gun safety can be annoying even when you know there is no threat from it but it's worth it in the times that a mistake could occur.

  • @00dempsey its still foolish, hope you loose a head, hand or finger.

  • @00dempsey Still, trigger discipline.

  • @airsoftloverusp he had the gun pointed straight from where he was shooting the whole time.. nowhere near the camear guy

  • @airsoftloverusp His finger is under the trigger.

  • @Starpigs92 No he didnt put it on full screen

  • @airsoftloverusp maybe you didn't notice that he decocked the gun?

  • @k0mpassi Treat every gun as it was loaded :)

  • @airsoftloverusp It won't go off even if jesus fell from the sky.

  • @airsoftloverusp simple trigger discipline really, if you don't want to be picking bits of buckshot out of your face, or your friends face off of the floor, take your finger off the trigger.

  • @RnW93 Exactly

  • @airsoftloverusp

Why do you gotta be such a prick?

  • @airsoftloverusp Obviously empty gun is obviously empty. Don't shit your pants because he had his finger on the trigger.

  • @dirtydeedz161 And you should never have your trigger on the finger unless you're ready to fire the gun.The video games may have the finger on the trigger all the time but thats not how real life is theres a difference but i noticed you liked F3 songs with is nice.

  • @airsoftloverusp You can have your finger on the trigger of a gun you know is empty. There's no harm in that.

  • @dirtydeedz161 You are an idiot. You finger should never enter the trigger guard until you have picked a target and are ready to shoot it. This is to prevent accidentally touching off the trigger. Which can happen a few different ways. Gun safety first you moron. Guns are always loaded.

  • @bsdmon Guns are always loaded if you're a fucking moron, otherwise, it's physically impossible for a gun you KNOW is unloaded to become loaded, because bullets don't just fucking form out of thin air in the chamber of your weapon.

  • @dirtydeedz161 You dont have guns so i will no longer argue with you.

  • @airsoftloverusp You have absolutely no idea if I do or do not own guns.

  • @dirtydeedz161 You are a dumbass. It is a basic safety rule to treat every gun as if it were loaded. You do not point it at anything you would have worries about destroying. ESPECIALLY people.

  • @bsdmon That rule only applies to idiots who don't know how to clear/check the chamber of a weapon, or leave their weapons lying around loaded.

  • @dirtydeedz161 and when you forget to clear the chamber and shoot someone is the rule still so stupid?

  • @35503550 Smart people never forget to clear the chamber. :)

  • @bsdmon stfu

  • @bsdmon

I heard unloaded guns can't fire a real round. Magical bullets that you can't see don't exist.

  • @bsdmon

No... Guns are not always loaded... Bullets don't magically appear in the magazine/chamber of a gun.

  • @dirtydeedz161 What if one gets jammed, such as a improper shell, then you dry fire it for fun, and kill someone? What I am saying is, Never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready. Although this doesn't go for the SWAT Team, Police force, or any other forces such as those. I have had nearly 2 years of training in the SWAT (Special weapons and tactics), and I have learned from many close calls that you need to keep your trigger ready for protection.

  • @Pwnermobile123 Check the barrel before you touch the trigger. Besides, who dry-fires a gun for "fun"? That damages the firing pin 9 times out of 10. It should be common sense not to set your finger on the trigger anyway, but not everyone (like the guys in this vide0) have that, let alone professional weapons training. Don't patronize me, I know what SWAT is short for.

  • @dirtydeedz161 you never supposed to look down the barrel of a gun and dry firing does not damage the firing pin trust me i have done it loads of times. I am not "Patronizing" you just simply stating what is true.

  • @TheUnsafty You can look down the barrel of a gun if you know what the fuck you're doing. Guns do NOT just "Go off" on their own.

  • @dirtydeedz161 lol, i read everything that you said and your not very bright. I have minimal knowledge of gun handling, but even i know the phrase "Every gun is loaded". He obviously didn't mean it literally, but you didn't quite catch that, did you? Also, haha "check the barrel before you touch the trigger"? Ahh yes, let's all look down the barrels of our guns before we start shooting just to make sure everything's OK. Lastly nice BS statistic about dry firing... most guns have no issue with it

  • @curtisxxu

Way to jump into a 2 month old argument, you dumb fuck. How else does someone mean "Every gun is loaded" other than literally? As I'm sure I said before, bullets do not magically appear in a gun. If you know its empty, its fucking empty. "Check the barrel before you touch the trigger". Hmm... Let's see. Are all guns muzzle-loaders? No? So that means you can, say, with a semi-atuo pistol, pull the slide back to check the chamber, and not look down the barrel!

  • @dirtydeedz161 There are other ways to interpret things other than literally genius. Also, the fact that jams and squib loads happen is enough to back up the idea that you never know if a gun is truly empty. Lastly, your last point makes no sense and only ends up going against your own intelligence in that you presented your own quote and pointed out its discrepancies. Skimmed through the 2nd comment, don't feel like arguing with a 12 year-old with access to wikipedia. plz don't reply, too lazy

  • @curtisxxu LOL. Fuck, you're dumb.

  • @dirtydeedz161 I thought i brought up the fact that you swear unnecessarily in the last comment. Guess i forgot, but you need to stop that cause it just makes people assume you're uncultured, uncivilized, and uneducated. When people swear, it's like a defense mechanism because they don't know what to say or they know they're wrong. Their only way of protection is spewing out cusses in an unsuccessful attempt to intimidate their enemy.

  • @curtisxxu "Uncultured, uncivilized and uneducated"? Obviously. Not like Shakespeare ever used a swear or two. God, I bet you have a raging boner right now, hey?

  • @dirtydeedz161 lol, his swears were there to put emphasize on carefully picked out points, not used randomly whenever he felt rage. I was actually beginning to respect and believe in your adulthood until i got to the end where you once again had to prove your immaturity.

  • @curtisxxu Also, you don't know shit about firing pins or how they function.

"For most common cartridges, there are snap caps available to reduce the risk of damaging the firing pin. It is generally acceptable to dry fire more modern centerfire firearms without a cartridge or snap cap. However, dry firing a shotgun or rimfire firearm can damage the firing pin. Furthermore, damage can occur to the chamber mouth of a rimfire firearm." - Wikipedia

  • are you thick as shit, a magazine fed weapon without a magazine on is not loaded. in this example there is no magazine but the weapon is clearly empty. TWAT

  • @bsdmon youtubegun police

  • @bsdmon no he's doin it on purpose.. its a 'slam fire' demo

  • @bsdmon yeh try that procedure under fire

  • @SiMo666suzukiRider what is that supposed to mean. No matter what is going on your booger picker shouldnt be in the trigger guard until taking the shot. Most shooters naturally rest their finger out of the outside of the guard so putting it in takes no time really. If you are in a defensive situation and run around with your finger on the trigger you are just asking to have a negligent discharge. Especially if you were to trip or something.

  • @bsdmon what ever u say mate

  • @bsdmon im going to be real with you, you are 99.99% right the part where you are 0.01% wrong is that his target was air :P

  • @bsdmon and since when are guns always loaded? NONE of my guns are loaded right now. When I'm shooting, as soon as my gun is pointed in the general direction of the target, I put my hand in the trigger guard, then find my target

  • @doctarvampire YOU ARE A FUCKING MORON. One of the main rules of gun safety is that you treat a gun if it is always loaded. This is to prevent the "Oh don't worry it's not loaded" Mentality. Which has caused people uneducated about gun safety to kill themselves or others while doing stupid shit with a gun, because" Oh well it wasn't loaded" So you fugging tarts can keep debating that a gun physically can't be loaded when it isn't. No shit sherlock. That is not the point. Get a life.

  • @bsdmon Me get a life? I'm not the troll who obviously grew up around a bunch of rednecks who *think they* are gun safety experts. Now, I only shoot targets, so this doesn;t really apply to me, but think, you are in a competition and need to shoot a target as fast as you can. For that half a second it takes to put you're finger in the trigger guard, when you could be shooting, the wind hits you, you shake, or something.

  • @airsoftloverusp

you called it, hes a dumbass and camera shy.

  • @airsoftloverusp If you had actually paid attention you would have noticed that he checked to make sure it was clear after he was done firing. With no ammunition in the weapon it essentially becomes a heavy club. He would have to physically hit someone with it for it to be dangerous. Besides.. As someone mentioned before he was not pointing the gun at anyone regardless of the guns status, which I think is a more important point.

  • @airsoftloverusp yeah, what an unsafe dummass. instead of gun control we need dumb control.

  • @mia1shooter agreed 100%

  • @airsoftloverusp did anyone besides me noticed that his buddy in the back looks bored as fuck , yawning and shit ?

  • @patator2512 hahaha

  • @airsoftloverusp he pulled the trigger to let the hammer down...... -_-

  • wow does anyone get a little reminder of columbine by this vid?

  • @xxMRGRENADExx ...wow, you a are a moron.
