everything is dubbed in Germany. In Sweden they just put Swedish subtitles, so i can watch n totally understand some tv there!

@roder51:We have 105 million native German speakers in Europe, what do you expect, subtitles?German is the second most spoken language in Europe after Russian,subtitles would look ridiculous here on TV(but they get inserted sometimes, no worry) for movies in cinemas we prefer dubbing+German dubbing has even a richer intonation,when we hear the English originals we´re often disappointed about the"flat"pronunciation. Maybe people in Holland (or wtf) are content with subtitles -we are not.

The German language has often a much richer intonation and EVERY movie gets dubbed for 105 million native German speakers in Europe, they would refuse subtitles.
In the meantime for TV broadcasts there are two versions available via stereo of two channels (not in 1976 above!), but German speaking people would refuse subtitles+they´re often "shocked" when they hear the English originals, they just reckon the English stage language often to be "boring".
So it goes.

Niemand konnte Menschen tiefer erfassen und eloquenter beschreiben als Margret Dünser. Die V.I.P. Schaukel zählt für mich zu den Meilensteinen intellegenter Fernsehunterhaltung. Danke, Margret Dünser! R.i.p.

@Ingwerstaebchen Da bin ich 100% deiner Meinung. Besser kann man es nicht formulieren. Alleine der Vorspann zu Margret Dünser's V.I.P. Schaukel löste eben bei mir schon wehmütige Erinnerungen aus.
