I completely agree.. He seems to lose more and more mercy with every companion he loses, with every innocent person who dies, with every regeneration... The new Doctor is testament to that.

Hmm.... a Highlander/Doctor Who crossover would be pretty awesome. Well, at the very least, it'd be the best movie (aside from the original Highlander) that either franchise had ever had, pretty much by default. I mean, you have to really try to make a worse movie than the Quickening, or The Source.
Wow Fan vids don't usually do it for me but this. . this was fantastic. Eccleston was my first doctor so he'll always be my fave but Tennant is just amazing. . because of scenes like these. You found some of the best, most emotional scenes. . . The wall scene always gets me, no matter how many times I see it. .
I've become so accustomed to writing off these doctor who clip videos as silly and poorly put together then this came along. This is really lovely. Thank you for at least changing my opinions for the time being.
The Doctor goes through bodies really quickly, considering that he's only got twelve regenerations. It's hard to believe he's really 900+ years ol when we're lucky if one regeneration lasts two or three seasons.

The "I don't age, I regerate" and "So many good byes" lines are from Season 2 "School Reunion." Though there are few shots from Tom Baker's Doctor days, but I'm not sure off hand which episodes they are.
@TheGreatMerman wow, the production quality is really great. in november i attended a taping of the craig ferguson show (the late late show) here in LA and they had the 'new' dr. who actor on. he's so young! the audience got the dvd of season 5. i haven't watched it yet but seeing this video and the clips from the show (and one or two bits of episodes in the last couple of years) i'm definitely going to crack open that dvd set and enjoy the show.

You could use the same song for a video about Jack Harkness, as he was made immortal by Bad Wolf, and went through some pretty horrid stuff in his long years...plus the fact that he had to wait 5 billion years to finally die.
But whatever, this video was a very well-done summation of David Tennant's contribution to The Doctor's tragic character. Poor Doctor, he keeps dying and keeps on coming back. I wonder what they'll do when he runs out of regenerations? Will they end the series there?

so fitting to The Doctor. Yes, this is both a happy and sad show. I am glad it is. To be The Doctor is to know passion, pain, happiness and sadness all in equal measure.
By the end of the year the RTD era will be over.
