  • I bought my house about 4 years ago, and I believe the sump shown in this video is what I have in my basement. Does anyone know if this company is still in business and still selling this product?

  • @guitartec Yes, the manufacturer of this sump pump system is Basement Systems and still in business. Ask the former owner of the house for the warranty information on your system or contact your local Basement Systems dealer for more information.

  • @basementsystems The previous owner is no longer alive and there is no "local" Basement System Dealer I can find. Maybe they're out of business?

I live in zip 02816. Can you help locate a dealer close to me?

  • Two questions about the air tight lid...

    1. how can it be truely air tight when it is jut two hard plastic surfaces with no compression seal?

    2. What is the point of an air tight lid when the sump chamber connects to the Waterguard channel with open backed flange which acts as a distribution system for moisture vapour, bad smells, and radon gas?

  • @thejazzman1959 Good questions! Hopefully I can answer them for you.

    1) The lid has an interlocking design. You are correct in that the lid is two pieces. However, tehy do not simply "butt" up against each other.

    2) If radon gas is a concern for the homeowner, the top flange can be sealed. If there is a water problem coming through the wall, adding in a product (such as BrightWall Paneling) can solve both problems. It truly depends on each unique situation.

    Thanks For Asking!

  • good vid, but no wonder the basement leaks someone forgot to put mortar in those blocks! lol

  • It probably, most likely does not need to be dug into the floor,of the cemented in my case,a storm celler with a heavy metal door)about 6 or 8 steps, out doors,in the back yard? Can a garden hose or two be attatched to the sump pump?

  • I just bought the triple safe sump pump.

  • Congrats!!!! It's the best of the best!

  • I believe it's just two M53s, one on a pedestal :) total part cost to put it together is probably ~$400, what does "basement systems" charge?

  • what's up with the brick on the float sensor at 0:32?

  • Lord only knows....

  • Well at least when the basement has 7" of water in it, it will kick on...
