  • i didnt even know pinecones could do that

  • DAT SPEED! IT'S OVER 9,000!!!!!

  • THATS NOT A SEED, thats a dried out old cone that had seeds in it...

And it compressing is not mysterious or abnormal... its simply natural.

Please use your brain and google next time b4 you upload :P

  • Youtube makes all the effort to put artists and song names right under the videos, yet people just completely ignore them. Even the uploader forgets...

  • i was trying to watch how to use hp calculator then i ended up watching this video even before watching calculator video...

  • what was that dumb ass

  • in turned into a brown PINEapple...lol

  • I really don't get if you put it in the water it compresses

  • I want to expand on Pyonshimmie's statement and explain to you that this is not a pine seed. This is a pine CONE. A pine SEED is like a little nut that comes from inside a pine CONE. A pine CONE can have many pine NUTS or pine SEEDS inside of it, not just the one. We are watching a pine CONE close.

  • And then if you leave it to dry for long enough, it will open back up. I had one on my porch for a few weeks that would do this every time it rained.

  • wow, how much time did it take?

  • Thats pretty neat, Ill have to try that, I didnt know they did that

  • could you do a timelapse of a field of sunflowers following the sun for a day? ^^

  • its over 9000!!! :OOO

  • That is the smallest pine cone I have ever seen.

  • drowning pine cone lmao

  • that awkward moment when you realize the compressing pine cone looks like a pineapple

and then you make the connection: PINEcone - PINEapple

    my mind was fucked.

  • Poor lighting and noisy music. Thumb down

  • does that mean that even the pinecone is alive???

  • @WTFGiordan I think it just changes shape when it absorbs water, its not alive.

  • @pagani8 wont it start growing into a tree?

  • @WTFGiordan I've no idea, I don't even know what pine cones are for in the first place!

  • @pagani8 Pinecones are coniferous (otherwise known as evergreen) seeds.

  • when you said look closely i scooted away lol

  • How long did this take?? Neat video!

  • zyon base=snow country

  • But why does it close itself in water ?!?!?!?

  • @Sarosh00 it doesn't. it is just sped up.

  • Why do they do that?

  • when he said look closley i thought something was onna pop out,

  • That's so cool! I had no idea they could do that.

  • how do you open one?

  • @jerrydff7 Heat it in oven

  • OMG what a cool cool idea!!!! :O

I have a pile of them.... I so must do this!!!! XD

  • yo dude

    why does it compresing?

    if its to reproduce...

    that would be cool.

  • why dose it do that?

  • That is a pine CONE and there are NO seeds in there because they fall out while still on the tree. The seeds have wings like a maple seeds and "fly" down in a propeller-like fashion. Cool video, though.

  • I find pine seeds gross because of the little bumps on it

  • @Reshmajobi lol

  • Cool video.. Who makes the dnb track you have playing in the background?

  • Cheers mate :)

The D&B track is by Zyon Base although I'm sorry to say i don't know the name of the track

  • @BlackLookingGlass its typically says the artist in the lower right corner.

  • @NeoGeo70 that would make it too easy. haha! i really like it when people ask questions on here that one click on Google would answer like, "so, what tree does a pinecone come from?" lol

  • @sidnomis1 LOL, yes. true. Google says pine cones come from pine trees or any conifer or evergreen tree that bears fruit. But i say pinecones come in a red bag from Michael's Craft store and the smell like cinnamon.

  • @NeoGeo70 haha!!! hilarious!

  • @BlackLookingGlass Zyon Base snow country

  • Is this how you get pine seeds? Or can you just shake them out of the cone?

  • no once its turned brown and is open the seeds have falled out. they fall out when still on the tree the pine cone hols the seeds
