Read her book, it's really good. The songs are about the love of her life Julia. When she wrote the songs they were about a girl, but she had to compromise because of not wanting anyone to know she was gay. So sad that she had to keep that all in for so long. Dating Brad Paisley then going home to GF, who was living with her at the time.
