love the lyrics, its a really good song, you should get someone to video you just walking along the water line on the beech, singing your song, love it, cheers The Makem Folk Singer
Stewart, absolutely fantastic. You are definitely developing a style.
I'm still sitting here trying to rhyme moon, spoon, tune and goon (it's the best I can come up with on Christmas Eve) and the turkey's not even stuffed yet!! - I might even get prune in there somewhere!
@theloudhalo - Thanks for watching and commenting H. You need to fit spitoon in to that lyrical classic you're working on.....and balloon. Hope you had a good day.
Hi Stew excellent song mate great lyrics and performance you write great songs Stew and this one is very good putting this one on the fav list I hope you and all your family have a great Christmas and a very happy musical new year thanks Stew from your friend Phil .
@ruth7784 - Roofy ....SSo nice to hear from you. Hope you've had a good Chrsitmas break, glad you're in circulation and thanks for taking the time to comment and the nice words.
hi there Stew, your playing here is just fine and the song is better than that. i'm pleased to observe how much thought you put into your lyrics, even if the song is a novelty or comedy subject, or a more serious, sensitive one. you really "get into" the meaning of each lyric and you rework it until it is just right. i appreciate that high standartd that you share and inspire other writers with. keep 'em comming friend, we enjoy your gift, merry christmas and good health, chuck.
@chuxtrux - Not so sure about 'much thought' . Usually just huntin' for a word that fits a predetermined tune in my head.. Have a great Christmas Chuck
I hear you about all the Youtube changes, Stew, I hate 'em. Now about your song. You are smokin' that uke! Your playing sounds great! Love your hookline, 'till drift do us part.' People change over the years, and it's only natural that marriages end because people drift away from each other. Always enjoyed the listens, wonderful song, Stew, and you have a very Merry Christmas. :) Janet
@onewomanandsomesongs - Janet , You are always there to say nice things so it's always nice to hear from you. I hope you and yours have a wonderful christmas together. Here's hoping for a better New Year for all.
Cheers Bob, I can't strum to save my life. That sir, was a contorted claw hammer banjo bastardisation of perverse sorts. I tried a slow up down strum which almost sounded ok at first but by the end of the 1st verse, was in danger of taking the form a frenetic George Formby on steroids type strum.
Hi Stew, very good, I liked the words tune & your singing ~ Arthur,
