I think Microsoft is better at compatibility than Apple. XP has been out for almost 10 years, and it is still supported and fully functional with most programs...and W7 is faster than XP on almost any machine that has the min specs...whereas Apple's apps only work on Snow/Lion and the other apps only on 10.4 Tiger to 10.7 Lion

That statement is so wrong, it hurts. I have two network laptops at my house right now, both rocking XP, and BOTH have Wi-Fi. Fact is, most (decent) networking is done on a hardline (CAT-5 Cable) anyways. In every workplace I've been to that needs major networking, Macs aren't even considered by the IT guys. It's either Win7 or XP.
If I may say, Leopard was Solid, But Snow Leapord has almost as many issues as vista.

well if they took that printer gag back on the mac it would be "If your printer is not compatible with your mac, buy a new mac and a new printer." So PC is still the more sensible option.

I like macs, and there is nothing anybody can do or say to change my mind. All of you should have the same kind of attitude towards what you think is best and stop trying to change other people's minds. Other people can't tell YOU what YOU should use, YOU should decide what YOU want! Who cares what other people use, you are happy with what you are using and that is all that matters :P
@dfrss But the question is... Will it blend? The problem with your statement is that your computer may have cost you under $500, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was a good value at the time you purchased/built it. I plan on building a computer for roughly $430 including tax, and it'll be capable of running most next-gen games seamlessly at 1080p. Just making a point.
Although I find these commercials misleading at times, I found this one funny. But I just don't get why people hate Vista? I had three vista systems and none of them failed me. Yes I upgraded my two of them to Windows 7, only because I wanted DX11, one of my motherboards required Windows 7 to use nVidia and ATI graphic cards as one, and basically because is faster and better looking. But that aside, the third system has Vista running a Celeron processor and it's fast, although Celerons sucks

PC, or Personal Computer is an acronym. More or less, any Macintosh, or Windows based computer is a PC(Linux also), thus these ads make no friggin sense. @mat5813 I am using a vista as I write this because my mac cannot get an IP from my wifi, even though i consistently update the firmware and made sure airport was compatible, so in my opinion, my $500 vista works better and is more reliable than my $1000 snow leopard macbook that i spent $119 to upgrade from tiger, even though it has a "faster" processor, it freezes up more often than my vista.
@TheWHarlan well sometimes people need something fast. Mac OS X can use the GPU's stream processor for raw calculation, it uses the RAM in a more aggressive way than Windows (it loads into ram everything), its a microkernel and its written for the hardware it runs on.
if you find yourself better with vista, that's fine. but if you'll ever need a real computer, mac is the way to go :)

I'm sorry, but the only people who like Macs are the old people who were using computers from the very beginning and started with computers with Macintosh OS AND the stupid braindead teenagers and adults who adhere to the Apple popularity cult started with iPod and has spread to many other products, including their operating system and OS. Other than that, someone who has more than a tenth of a brain or isn't an old school fanboy, will go with any other OS.
There's absolutely no reason for every other computer developer and manufacturer to have an OS inferior in practically every way (except Mac OSs being for people who need training wheels) on their computers.
Also, Windows has alot more compatibility headackes than MacOS because Windows must support ALL hardware, but MacOS must support only those installed by Macs which is a much less variety.
These ads are actually "MacOS against Windows", it's got nothing to do with the actual hardware you're running it on, because that hardware is only one, and that is the PC.

And I agree with the mac ads: pre-configured dells and HP absolutely ruin the market. Bad components, bad bloaty app-suites, no choices. The problem with your statement is that your computer may have cost you under $500, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was a good value at the time you purchased/built it. I plan on building a computer for roughly $430 including tax, and it'll be capable of running most next-gen games seamlessly at 1080p. Just making a point.

Although I find these commercials misleading at times, I found this one funny. But I just don't get why people hate Vista? I had three vista systems and none of them failed me. Yes I upgraded my two of them to Windows 7, only because I wanted DX11, one of my motherboards required Windows 7 to use nVidia and ATI graphic cards as one, and basically because is faster and better looking. But that aside, the third system has Vista running a Celeron processor and it's fast, although Celerons sucks

Just a clarification, because thanks to Apple, people stopped using their brains:
PC, or Personal Computer is an acronym. More or less, any Macintosh, or Windows based computer is a PC(Linux also), thus these ads make no friggin sense. If they started saying: Hello, I'm a Windows and I'm a Mac, that would be punctual, but then again, saying that Windows is inferior to Mac OSX, would make such a huge shitstorm, that Apple wouldn't be able to pay for the lawsuits filed against them. @mat5813 I am using a vista as I write this because my mac cannot get an IP from my wifi, even though i consistently update the firmware and made sure airport was compatible, so in my opinion, my $500 vista works better and is more reliable than my $1000 snow leopard macbook that i spent $119 to upgrade from tiger, even though it has a "faster" processor, it freezes up more often than my vista.

@TheWHarlan well sometimes people need something fast. Mac OS X can use the GPU's stream processor for raw calculation, it uses the RAM in a more aggressive way than Windows (it loads into ram everything), its a microkernel and its written for the hardware it runs on.
if you find yourself better with vista, that's fine. but if you'll ever need a real computer, mac is the way to go :)

@TheWHarlan if there where 100 times more problems before service pack 1 then i feel terribly sorry for those that had vista before that. my vista fell apart, it couldn't open microsoft office or even turn itself off in the end. and no i didnt download everything around. when i reformated my pc to windows 7 it crashed the first time i turned it on...
