It's quick drying Ackrylic spray paint or something like that. Some paper like newspaper that has ink or some type of whatever on it..when you lay/press it lightly into the paint and pull it off, the stuff on the paper leaves weird designs in the paint. It has nothing to do with the paper that your actually painting on.

I totally agree I have only been doing this for 2 months and compared to those who have been doing it for years my paintings are horrible but that just means that I can get better by learning from those better than me. So thank you for the comment.

thank you for your suggestions and sharing. i recently used foam core with the same success and found it to be strong enough for large pieces, 4'x4'.

Good effort! I dabble wit spary paint, but I prefer making stencils (this can take forever but I really enjoy it!)
What were you using to give that crinkle effect? Newspaper? Sticky stuff?
