"there's a man, not afraid to say how he feels"-- Well, doesn't that describe John? he seemed to express what he felt without being afraid of Stern, but he gets called every junvenile insult in the book for doing it. well...there are a lot of great ideas that comics think of independantly. but between jaywalking, AND taking a guy famous for being on howard stern, AND bringing a member of sterns wack pack (kenneth keith callenbach) to do a bit...sometimes its the sheer number of times that make people suspicious.

carlos mencia is the same way, he tells some great jokes that he MIGHT have thought of independantly, but the sheer number of jokes that came from other comics first makes him a bit suspect.
