I haven't thought of it that way yet... I am from the u.s. and have been all over Cambodia and it was overpowering to me the amount of destruction from the Khmer Rouge , but now to hear that after the dust settled Ros Sothea's songs filling the air, just crush that weak and cowardly evil ... The light will always prevail... long live the spirit of all those who perished under the weak and cowardly Khmer Rouge.

They were armed, trained and appointed by U.S government, after illegal bombings in Cambodia after Vietnam war. I appreciate singing in a native language but it would be more playable for me if the lyrics were sung in English, even the ones you already did in Cambodian. Maybe they don't hold up well? I like when she sings in English, reminds me of good times.

Actually just2sweeet, this is a remake believe it or not. The original artist was named "Ros Sereysothea". Unfortunately, she was murdered in Cambodia by the Khmer Rouge.

Fantastic that the KR still could not silence her wonderful music, and that there are still bands out there remaking her stuff.

The body of Ros Sereysothea has still not been found. She could of escaped then been shot on the spot or she could of been chucked in the water with a weight tied to her. For all we know she could still be alive. Chances are though that she is not still alive. The guy from the original was shot on the spot though. That has been confirmed. Very sad though :(
