In reality this crash site would have been an impossibility as majority of the Normandy would have burned up in the atmosphere, especially if it had already been blown apart by the collectors prior to entering the atomosphere

It's probably internally damaged beyond repair. It did fall from orbit and then sit there in freezing temperatures for two years. SR2 can't reliably deploy it anyway since it can't fly.

Mass Effect had a Sooo mutch better storyline, not that we can complain about ME2. Seeing old stuff like this makes me sad, all the adventures we came trough with the crew, the ship, the mako, it's all destroyed. I was shooked when i saw Normandy going down at the beginning of the game. R.I.P :[

I love the planet Alchera. Looking up at the sky, it looks amazing. All the stars and everything, it's a beautiful sight. Investigating the crashsite of the original Normandy, when you're there, there's an eerie peace, almost melancholia. Bioware really outdid themselves with ME2. I can't wait for the third one.

@oscar1123581321 I think those are the goggles I've seen in other videos, but with a cowl added for breathing. Like in Mass Effect 1 where if you had the helmet on indoors it had a visor and the mouth was open, but when you went into a hostile environment or vacuum a ventilator appeared there.
