In addition, if you feel that you need a job because you feel useless, bored and alienated, as to have something to fill your day, even then your goal is not employment. Your alienation is the elite's fault, who don't care about your individual thoughts, goals in life of politico-economic political potential. They let you be this way because it means you won't challenge them in the market competition. Your goal is then to overthrow the system!

Furthermore, the elite wants to pay you as little as they get away with or produce everything without labor force. They aim to this constantly and always as a part of the profit imperative. Workers must not seek a job, because that means their income and career would always be at the whims and risks created by Capitalists, who aim to make profit for themselves, with or without your employment!

Have we now completely forgot the connection between production and consumption? It seems people think these are two different olympic sports, and that being good at one of them is no reason to participate in the other.

For gods sake. They are two sides of the same coin. The basic morality of capitalism is that you are allowed to consume in proportion to how much you produce. Don't screw it up or we soon will not have a world economy to save! ;)

We don't need the right to consume. That is a fallacy and betrayal of democracy and our human right for politico-economic power. They force work and consumption upon us and to accept their decisions in the so called democratic parliament, which behind curtains benefit them more. According to Marx's surplus theory, we get less than what we produce and the rest is forced and stolen from the workers

Job is not what people want. They want politico-economic power and to be able to live by their own decisions. Job is forced upon people on the basis of need for wages. In work, we are forced to put aside our individual needs and goals, take orders from our boss. After work, we can only rest for the next day in slave labor and use the money to buy what we don't need for our forgotten ultimate goal in life, or just pay for the places where we rest for next day's work. Employment is not the goal

I believe your views are correct on this issue, but what do you suggest it would take for humanity, or the current populous to comprehend this, and be willing and determined enough to set forth and make the necessary change and take the action that is required for anything to alter?

We don't have to make the populous to be willing and determined to implement socialism. Like with anything, you can take a treasure and use it as a weapon that ruins the innocence and beauty of its true nature. Yet we can't just leave as a curiosity for the few to ponder on. I think we can take a perfect idea, and use it by living according to it, not only like our own mind thinks about it. We need a forum for everybody to judge Socialism and Capitalism.Direct democracy is revolution and safety

I totally agree, and couldn't have said it better. But ponder this, you do not think that if people had direct democracy, a forum for the people to make their own judgment, rather than being force fed to consume others ideas, that those in power would try and do everything they could to stop this from getting true momentum? I mean look at the peaceful protesters that are being totally shut out of the economic summit meetings, nowhere for the people to be there live to make their judgments.

I thinking of an institutional and official parliament for the people. And I think the bourgeoisie won't have to try to stop it if they can talk for themselves as everybody else. What if all social strife and the class struggle has happened only because of simple political exclusion?

This idea is very good, and sounds even better. Personally I have nothing against it, and am sure many people would be for it. But don't you think it is a number issue? There are more ordinary people than there are those of the bourgeoisie, hence, if the system would be fair and balance, the bourgeoisie would be a minority and also only hold a less impacting vote. It is similarly to what happened in Gaza, the West wanted pseudo freedom for Gaza, but when Hamas won, it was called a coup.

My direct democracy does not mean voting as a means to preserve the institutions and function of the state and government apparatus. It means face-to-face debate where things are proven and assessed until consensus and primarily for the truth value, not just for the will of parties, social classes or other non-personal actors. Direct democracy entails increasing the density and number of forums according to people's need to participate and their location

Well that would only be possible with more smaller independant enclaves, along the lines of a jewish kibbutz? I am not quite certain I can follow your train of thought, your idea strikes me as logical, but this concept would only work in smaller communities, for example each village would have to have such forums, because how would this function with a mega multi million inhabitants city?

I believe the state, being a multi-million body, was invented only on the basis of oligarchical need for force against competing elite. There is absolutely no basis to the claim that human society needs a state, military, laws, etc. It is all power-motivated, as is commercial profit. We could take another approach to the society, from the perspective of one "weak" actor, the individual, his/her needs, thoughts and feelings, and create politics on that basis and thatof sociality=direct democracy

Great indeed, quite intriguing and interesting idea! Did you study sociology? I agree with your idea, and believe it is founded on truth, the elites through time were looking to control the masses, and I suppose the idea of a state is the perfect way to do just that. Have you ever heard of the Zeitgeist Movement? It was founded by a man named Jaques Fresco, look it up, their ideas of social structure are very similar to the ideas you have voiced and explained to me. Which I personally love.

You're 18 years old. Often when guys a little older speak about their ideas, they inspire the younger ones. Sociology also turns everybody's world around and flabbergasts them with wit and surprises. This might inspire you, but it is not absolutely simple like I said. I want the chance to clash everybody's opinion on a political level, that is all. I don't want to be anybody's handbook :)

I have a few problems to your ideals here: A direct democracy, as nice as it sounds, has an evil side-effect. Decisions will take too long, arguements will be spawned, and the entire system will remain ineffective for a nation as large as modern day superpowers. Simply put, People are naturally greedy. Give a dog a bone; he looks for the skeleton. Give a man power; he seeks total control.

Simply put, anyone who says people are greedy by nature, gives that idea to others as something they can't choose upon. Greed is method of survival and likely only because man-made hierarchy. It is likely because it is a social fact, because of sanctions of failing to be that, and because it is only way to improve yourself in their world. If you had a chance, you wouldn't think what you have to do, is inevitable or natural.

The point here, however, is placing this natural greed, which IS enivatable perhaps not in most, but in some, into the delicate balance of power where each individual contributes to the total outcome. If an individual is greedy, he will seek ways to make his say more presidented than that of another, and hense we have a repeat of the Roman Senate.

Yes... also a year ago... we were saying how wrong it was to exploit Chinese migrant workers in factories. Now the factories are closed... and we see that migrant workers are even worse off now going back to their villages.

This is very interesting.

Most capitalist countries rely on "floating money" to remain in the population to stimulate buying in an economy.

China has a long history of taking out floating money, putting it in vaults, and forcing prices down.

I didn't consider that, if the country wanted it's people to buy more, they can't. They'd rather save it.

This is so interesting, I had to pause mid-viewing just to meditate on this new thought. :)

Asian countries almost has similar propensity on this.The reasons for Chinese people refuse to consume are incomplete social security system, the culture pressure, and exporting policy that most Asian countries lead.Without health cover, quite a few people're willing to buy more than saving, and a decade ago the authority then intends to stimulate consumption, so it encourages people to consume tertiary eduction that used to be subsidised, but produces too many graduates,who can't find a job now

What is the point in consuming more? Consumption as it is in Capitalism has always been off balance with the ecosystem and benefited only the elite. People can't decide what they are sold, what people produce in factories and the elite wants them to feel good as a substitute for politico-economic power. It is absurd how they want to people have more of this just so that their system survives. We haven't asked for their rule and we haven't had a choice. Obviously we will let them collapse
