There was a common ground problem with the Solidtube:
-Open the mic ( 3 screws on the bottom ) and then remove the plug from the print.
-Then turn the upper housing (you turn it slightly clockwise and then it pulls straight up) to remove it.
-Now you have the naked microphone without body.
-Next is to solder a wire directly onto the screen and solder another connection to the housing OR try soldering the screen to the housing.
-Then rebuild the whole mic and it should be quiet again
