@xV1C7OR1OUS If you're in it for multiplayer, then wait for Gears 3 because it assists new players in their first few matches. Gears 2 is also pretty easy to start out with, since you can practice with bots and the story mode is easier than the first game.

@smashersom 2 if your going to play campaign more, 1 is your in it for multiplayer. I'd personally go with 2 because it has more features and the campaign is sick compared to 1 but it's your choice ;)

Don't get rid of your ps3 for this game... unless youreally enjoy lag. I'd get Gears 1 if I were you. Gears 2 has crappy matchmaking and host selection. So not only do you play with foreigners, they get host too, making your end laggy as hell. You will regret getting rid of your ps3 if you are doing it solely for Gears 2.

Halo 3 is on the PC, Left 4 Dead is on the PC, and Gears 1 is, and Gears 3 is being made 4 the pc...dat's y it's taking 2 years 2 come out, as opposed to the 1 year it took gears 2 to come out in. no reason 2 buy a 360 for u. they're busy making it for the pc as well.

A lot of people's PCs aren't good enough to run those kinds of games, especially a graphically beautiful game like Gears of War 2.

Buying a new graphics card, or a new PC that can actually run these kinds of games would be at least 2-3 times more expensive than getting a 360.

In addition, most people enjoy playing with a controller as opposed to a keyboard. And with a console, you don't have to worry about taking up too much space to do more important things on your PC.

It offers more accuracy, and faster turning speed, allowing players to be skilled, even without the gimpy auto-aim on consoles. PC gaming is better than Console gaming in general anyway.

Neither one of us are wrong. It's an opinion. River can be fun, but I play solo and i end up with stupid teammates that won't work together. River can turn ugly if that happens. I just think it has way too many power weapons for what seems like such a small map, since all the fighting is funneled into the middle. A boom, 2 torques, 2 sets of frags, and a mortar? That's a little too much firepower IMO.
