Liking a band's music by merit of who they are doesn't make you a "real music or lp fan." It's just idiotic. Whether you accept that their new music is going to be the same as their old music or not has nothing to do with the whether or not you will actually enjoy an album.

You have to judge a song (or album, depending on your listening preferences) based on individual merit, or else you're just a simpering fanboy with no regard for quality.

First of all they're screaming, something missing for the most part on MTM, and secondly its hard rock unlike MTM which is just mainstream nothingness. This actually sounds decent, compared to say, Shadow of the Day

MTM wasn't suppose to be rock stupid, it was an experimental album, and they did great, that opened doors to them in success, and more people like them, yes HT was the best album, but they are grown men and it's difficult to write songs when you are grown up of teenage problems, Chester worked on Mike's rap, and his own lyrics in HT since it was more of Chester's life that the lyrics all imply on.

I have dug deep enough. I loved Linkin Park until Minutes to Midnight because they were special before it. Now they're just boring and every song is the same. LP is hardly what they used to be. Honestly I like Dead By Sunrise more than Linkin Park now.

After mtm my opinion of Linkin Park hadn't changed at all, if anything it made me think more of them. They have the ability to change to music world, by appealing to the mainstream audience with the softer stuff, then getting them into heavier music with they're heavier stuff. This would change a lot of things, no longer would lady gaga and fucking miley cyrus hog the radio playtime.

It also shows that they have a great range of music styles aswell, which is impressive if you think about it.

I see your point, and I respect it. But, Linkin Park sounds very much like all the other mainstream "rock" bands today. I'm not sure if you're a musician, but their song "What I've Done" is all the same chords on guitar to a Jonas Brothers song. These days LP sounds dangerously close to the likes of, The Killers? Maybe. They used to be much more unique with Hybrid Theory and Meteora. No one could touch them. Personally I blame their Producer Rick Rubin for changing them.

I think Dead By Sunrise will kick ass! Saw them in Stuttgart and in my opinion they rocked even if most of the people didn't know whats going on. My Suffering and Fire are awesome songs too, really like these three songs and let down although sounds very good!
