@bdhinks its supposed to gear down the bike by 5%. Its said that it takes 5-7 mph of ur top end. I ordered my shims Friday. They should be in today. I put the EPI wet clutch kit with 20g weights and the secondary clutch spring.
I did this same mod, it will gear you down about 5%( more lower end), but it will take it off your'e top end. I used secondary clutch shims to a 1999 yamaha mountain max 700 snowmobile, anything with a 1.5 to 2.0 mm thickness and a 52mm diameter

just wondering what this mod does i have an 06 700 with 27 '' itp tires n 14 '' wheels moose power program n hmf muffler would this also help ?

these are the part numbers from yamaha
90201-225A4-00 WASHER, 1 mm
90201-222F0-00 WASHER, .5 mm

Also run a heavyer secondary spring, but watch the outer face on the primary clutch, if you notice the splines starting to hawg out, go to the 1.5mm
