5x1080p is better then 1x1080p... stop asking dumb questions before asking your self "why am I asking this?" about the video this is a RLY nice setup, I like 5x1 better then 3x2 setups, lower resolution but NO middle bezels, which ruins almost every game! Sad NVidia donsn't support more then 3 screens, FANboys would love that,,, BUT if u think u can run 5 or 6 monitores with only ONE 6990, THINK AGAIN, you can but the FPS will not be as good as you want! 5+ screens go for 2x6990 or new 3x7970"=)

im just curious with something about monitors lets say my card is running a 22inch monitor at 1920x1080 and i want to use it with my 55 inch tv at 1920x1080 will it struggle more because its a larger screen? or does it not matter? does screen size matter or only resolution?

@Dayfoxx7000 If your card can run the 22" monitor at that resolution it shouldn't have any problems running the TV at the same resolution (in other word: resolution matters, not size). But you may experience lag due to the TV having a longer response time than your monitor

Screen sizes dont matter to graphics card...the resolutions do... you get 1920*5400 with those 4 screens...therefor...5 time more the pixels, therefor, 5 times more the quality. A very big single 1080p display would only give you a 1080p stretched image, therefor, losing quality.

@Alexanderdanice those "bars" are called "bezels" and they are really too wide... but I run 3 monitors eyefinity here... and I just put the middle monitor a little bit behind the others and put the others closer from each other. that reduces the bezel to half size

Sure it's not THAT bad if you have monitors with thin frames but some people (such as myself) cant fathom any reasons for doing this over just getting a bigger single display where you don't have to worry about gaps in your viewing area.

So bezel correction makes the picture look more "normal" and not "ripped" when something is crossing the screens but it sucks for FPS games because you could easily miss someone in the distance, well that sucks. It's either having a fucked up image or missing things on the screen. We need border/bezel/frameless monitors at a reasonable price now!!

For comparison the same guy compared the SLI Mars II with 1 (or 2 in SLI can't remeber) GTX580's 3GB edition and games ran much better

What's it like to actually work on something like that? The displays seem a bit awkward for professional use. I have a normal 3 monitor set up and it's a little easier to get a sense of standard sceen sizes and stuff that you're designing for. Maybe if it were completely frameless and you ran some virtualizations of different sized screens it would actually be useable.

People, 2 6970s in crossfire will perform slightly better than a 6990 because with 2 seperate cards they have seperate pci-e lanes. While the 6990 is 2 6970s sharing one pci-e lane and its been proven that it doesnt perform as well as actually having 2 6970 cards in seperate pci-e x16 slots or x8.

You can actually get Photosensitivity Epolepsy by playing with five or more monitors... your vision can turn into noise and flickering like vision. If you want to play on higher resolution, wait for the new Ultra High Definition TV's... the resolution quality doesn't change a bit just because you play with 5 monitors you idiots :D

But playing on a single monitor that supports Ultra High Definition "WILL" change the quality. What this guy just did is waste of money.

This is a totally stupid idea... when you use 5 monitors at the same time, you are ruining the brightness calibration...

don't think about this just like brightness... brightness and the RGB output are one of the most important details when you are playing... brightness and the RGB are making the game looking "realistic like real life like".

Playing with one monitor is the best thing. The resolution has exactly the same quality when playing with 1 monitor only.
