a better way to play the intro would be to use a monophonic tone, with oscillator in single trigger mode, add a slight dash of portamento.. not too much. then you can play this without using the pitch bend, by simulating guitar tapping..

YS is a preset junkie showing no sound design creativity. he used patch i-a050 screaming tube guitar from Korg oasys, and turned on the karma button to enable tapping. and played single notes. see the video.
Your attempt is commendable. u have probably more talent that the creator of this music.
