  • @Prizm2356 the scout was introduced in 1961 and was built until 1980

  • it's a shame that IH doesn't make suvs or espically pickup trucks anymore.

  • @BrentAudi My grandfather had a scout and he put 300,000 miles on it. He sold it and the motor is still strong

  • @BrentAudi They were so reliable, that's one of the reasons IH's small truck division went out of business..they'd run for 25+ years..the one weakness was the steel bodies..they'd rust out long before the motor and drive train would. Mine was completely thrashed when I bought it and it was found to have no fluids when we bought it and it still ran until we could make repairs.
