  • lol this is funny :)

  • @deepatel123 @apocalypcia It is not FDA approved and that means they can put all kind of shit in there. Notice how there are reports of lead and all other things being reported in some makeup. I don't know about you, but I don't want my fucking face falling off or getting lead poison.

  • This is a great video! Thanks for sharing these tips!

  • @deepatel123 its paying for quality.. same as buying an expensive handbag. Because you know it will withstand lots and be a good investment.

  • How to tell the difference between real and fake Mac; real Mac on sale doesn't exist...

  • id be happy to even be able to afford fake MAC aha

  • and now fake mac producers watch and learn what they do wrong :)

  • I forgot MAC was inexpensive in the US... in Europe you get one single pro eyeshadow for 13€ (= 17$) ... I bought my blush for 32€ = 42$ ....

  • For the people who can't afford MAC (like me) I would go for the fake ones, but at the same time I don't want some cheap fake ones that would give skin disease

  • You should know that the product you think is fake, the MAC blush, is NOT a fake!! The packaging you are showing, with the name of the blush printed on and not stuck on, the smaller bar code... this is the packaging we have IN EUROPE!! In every European country I've seen exaclty this packaging. So no wonder it was so hard for you to find something wrong with it! Anything you think is wrong or different about the product is just your imagination because you are reviewing a European MAC product!

  • @madiiwarsaw actually it is fake. I bought it from the same person who sells 88 mac palettes :D you just gotta buy it from reliable sources :)

  • @pursebuzz The newer packaging of MAC blushes in the US also has the name and bar code printed on the box. This video was uploaded sometimes in May 2011 if i am not mistaken, a lot has changed since then. I also believe that we should check out the reliability of the source rather than relying on the packaging solely. People who make counterfeits are smart people and won't mind changing the packaging to be up to date. You know what i mean. :) Keep up the good work. Cheers!

  • They're authentic at CCO's right?

  • @peaceout8456 yes

  • @ toughcookie420 I DID! :)

  • I checked my MAC products. But I'm lucky all my stuff seems to be original. :) Thanks for this video!

  • Haha I wonder who all watch this and after done watching it went and checked their MAC products xD

  • i would like to see n hear more about the organizer unit to the right of your vanity mirror

  • @nakedcowgirl The clear one? I hate it!!! I got it from ebay and I can't open and close the drawers easily :(

  • Great advice, thanks!!

  • @deepatel123 your FUCKING RETARDED the reason its fake and lower priced is because use cheap ingredients and they fuck up your face.

  • I have the same broadway mirror! love it! :) I am always too scared to buy mac anywhere but a mac store

  • You remind me of a celebrity but i cannot figure out who! haha

  • You look very Beautiful ♥

  • "fake" apple products are better than the real ones, only difference is that these "fake" apple products are not assembled by apple so its not gonna cost that +500$

  • @Lucyelisejeffreys department stores are fine!

  • Why does ur eye makeup look uneven

  • i dont think that the SOUND that it makes will help you identify if it's real or fake

  • i just bought dollymix blush off a department store's website but they have printed the names and the bar code on, does that mean it's fake?

  • @lucyelisejeffreys NO! It's NOT a fake! She is completely wrong. The printed on name and smaller bar code is the packaging we have here in Europe. In every European country I've been to this is exactly what the packaging looks like. She just doesn't know. Don't worry you don't have a fake :)

  • @madiiwarsaw awhh thank you :D

  • @madiiwarsaw She could be right and can very well be fake. But MAC has been converting their stickers to the printed on the box names as she showed. Some people mentioned that its like that in the UK, but almost all of mine that has arrived from MAC in the USA are like that as well.

  • to be 100% sure take a visit to house of fraser or harrods and you can be 100% sure that the mac is real. dont waste your time or money on fakes - even if they are cheaper - they can seriously damage your skin - you don't know whats in them xXxXxXxXx

  • do you maybe know any good site with original MAC cosmetics with a lil' bit cheaper price?

i don't even want to buy anything on e-bay coz like people sell a lot of different shit, soo..

  • do you know if they sell fake samshbox and benefit makeup? i hate fakes

  • There are also fake UD palettes

  • I bought a fake mac blush on ebay once, all the packaging was perfect but in the description said "power blush" instead of powder blush LOL Totally FAKE

  • You can clearly see that the pan on the fake blush is different, it isn't filled to the top like the original one, so you see lots of pan around the edges of the blush cake.

  • @MegaZeBRAgirl Products which might make you very ill, are you okay with those..? Buying cheapo brands from the drugstore is not the same thing as buying fakes. The budget brands still has regulations and stuff through the production (as it is a real company) but the fake stuff can contain absolutely anything as long as it LOOKS like an eyeshadow, blush or whatever. Go buy Wet n Wild instead, or save your bucks and buy MAC when you've got the money, take care of your body.

  • Where did you get your bracelet from?!! :))

  • sub back plzzzzzzzzzz

  • I love your bracelets! :D

  • If it say's made in usa ?is it real or not ...

  • i have a question cant you still use the makeup even though its fake? cause its still makeup right? please answer!

  • @GoodChildTimez you just have to be careful because you don't know where the makeup came from or what is in it and you'll be putting this stuff on your face, lips, and eyes. that is the main reason people need to be cautious of fake products.

  • @GoodChildTimez you can still use it. it's your money but the quality may not be as good

  • could u still use it?

  • Why not just buy the fake stuff then? Does the same job, and is cheaper!! MAC's a rip off!!!!!!!

  • @deepatel123 because they are fake, and as they are pretending to be mac, they are still overcharging you.

  • @deepatel123 because since it's fake it doesn't have to follow the same rules as real brands, for all you know it could be full of lead and other toxic crap that you wouldn't want to put on your face.

  • @deepatel123 I did that, there shit. Sometimes the eyeshadows don't even stick to your lid!

  • @deepatel123 not necessary cheap stuff can damage your skin and fake makeup have different ingredients that can damage skin, i prefer real makeup and expensive you know why the quality is better and does a better job and doesn't harm your skin, if you get cheap stuff your going to pay more for acne break outs and wrinkles rashes etc and i don't think people like that.

  • @deepatel123 agreed! :)

  • @deepatel123 Because u dont know what ingredients are in the fake mac products. ur putting all this makeup on your own skin it might be ruining ur skin and u dont even no it...

  • @deepatel123 clearly you dont have any mac products then...

  • Sephora and Ulta are real too.

  • interesting how she only talked about the packaging of the product and never about the quality... conclusion: who cares if it's fake or not? as long as it's the same quality... "something that should 99 cents but is just stamping the MAC brand on it to sell at high price?" what do you think MAC and other makeup brands are already doing? it costs them almost nothing to produce these products... they put all the money into building the brand and marketing campaigns

  • @apocalypcia I thought the same exact thing, but with these fake brands you have absolutely no idea which ingredients are in them. They might type ingredients onto a sticker, but only to copy mac's stickers. BBC did a special on counterfeit goods and found that a lot of knock off perfumes had urine in them. Bottom line, the people producing fake products don't care about the health or safety of people buying them - they just want the money.

  • @apocalypcia I'm sure I and many MAC users can agree that MAC products are of superior quality and strictly enforce that as opposed to these fake products which can have anything from lead to poison in them.

    Plain and simple.

But if you're inclined on buying inferior products, do so at your own risk.

  • @apocalypcia It is different quality!

  • @LifeWithJessica and how would you know that? how do you know what MAC actually puts into their products?

  • @LifeWithJessica You can tell. The fake MAC isn't anywhere near as pigmented as the real MAC consmetics.

  • @apocalypcia I totally agree! if it works the same who cares? I don't buy stuff for the status of having it, I buy it for the quality or just bc i like it! Its just like buying a fake designer purse, who cares? I just like the purse! Wet n wild has so many eye shadows that have been duped to MAC and probably have some better quality and its ten times cheaper! Quality over brand name!

  • This is wrong. It bothers me that people actually buy fake products because of a specific brand name. It's like those girls who walk around with fake designer bags, you can't fool someone who knows the brand well. And if someone who bought the fake were to get a serious allergic reaction they'd have no one to hold responsible-you don't know what ingredients are in these products-especially b/c it's going on your face and around your eyes.

  • all of my mac things the names are printed on the boxes. ive purchased all my mac things from the mac store.... ?

  • @r1401 If you've purchased all your MAC items from the store then they're probably all real...

  • This is a really helpful video! I got some MAC a while ago (lipsticks) and I made sure they were the real MAC before buying it. Really helpful. Smileys!

    =)

  • YES I HAVE REAL MAC!

  • SHOOT i have fake M.A.C

  • can you back to mac fake mac products?

  • @ahriane100 That is the dumbest thing I've ever read. It's a ripoff and you've clearly never been to a real MAC counter/store. They put specific stickers on the packaging to prevent thieves from trying to scam them out of money from fake products they got online at eBay.

  • @ilykepink lol I actually tried to back to MAC a bunch of eyeshadows

I got from eBay, I'm sure they're fake because I paid like 20 dollars for ten eyeshadows, but my Mac counter took them they must of been good dupes lol

  • @ahriane100 Lol sorry for going so hard on you. You got lucky you had dumb MAs. What lipstick did you get?

  • I would never be able to tell them apart....

  • you can always tell a fake MAC product unless you are unfamilar with makeup period. Those duplicates are good but not that good. Plus, anyone that knows anything about MAC knows, they DO NOT sell to fARMERS MARKETS LOL.

  • Thats why i only by mac from the counter or mac online, I dont even bother shopping on Ebay.

  • Hey my name is Elessa too pronounced e-lisa

  • okay, so I understand if the fake mac is really cheap, but come on! THAT expensive for knockoffs? i'd be happy buying it if it was cheap, though.

  • DRXCWSD ADASSSSSS SWWSADXASCCC3R SEDER 3F SFTRTVTRTVE DF

  • hi

  • Thanks for the great vid! I'm never trusting online distributors again! Too many fakes out there.

  • Love this video. Straight and to the point. It really helped me a lot. THANK YOU!

  • Hey you :) where did you get your mirrow from??? :*

  • i spotted some fake m.a.c. products here in our country [asia] as well .. decided to buy some and the eyeshadows are actually good quality and pigmented [better than elf shadows imo] .. and each shadows are really cheap , converted to u.s. currency , they're only 2 dollars , where-in real m.a.c. shadows in here are now 20 dollars per piece .. so i think a lot of people are tempted to buy the fake ones because there's a big difference in the price.

  • Thanx

  • I've got products from MAC store for over 15yrs, there are several things to note :

    1) they have names EITHER printed on the box or on a sticker

    2) the barcode on the box is EITHER printed on the box or on a sticker

    3) EITHER "London" or ":London W1K 3BQ" appear on the stick at the back of the case, and they are underlined.

So the products you've got maybe real, but have to see the actual thing (esp the packaging, the fonts, etc) before drawing a conclusion :)

  • I cant even afford Mac. Bet you feel good now.

  • @CheyenneBlah i'm with you... i'm not about to spend $35.00 for a brush... just work with what you half... mac or not..

  • @pursebuzz what's ur face book name

  • Never buy makeup on 'macmakeupa' they sell fake mac products and you will never be refunded.

  • if you close your eyes and listen to her, she sounds like london tipton..

  • I buy MAC at Nordstrom, at the MAC counter and they do print on the box. The colors that is.

  • She talks and talks.. And i cant find out what Real and fake??

  • I always think the person who makes the knock offs is going to see a vid like this and make the fake even better

  • I got the Pearlmatte eyeshadow from CCO. It's the first MAC I got, and it's not very pigmented. Does that mean it's fake?

  • @lynbdesigns Not all MAC is super pigmented...CCO does sell real MAC :)

  • how about cco?

  • i got two knockoffs the purple one i knew right away it was a knockoff, it was powdery and had no sheen to it, the other one that was called mulch i actually liked it was like a golden brown color, but these are colors you can get in the drug store instead of wasting your time on ebay

  • ...and oh yea, you're a beautiful wonderful woman pursebuzz

  • Youtube led me here and I watched only for my interest in knowing about Chinese knock offs and copyright infringement. From what I'm learning, from watching this video, is the company who manufactures the product doesn't care about its products enough to be sure the consumer gets what they're paying for, their trust.

  • I mistakenly bought fake Mac a little while ago, I was really mad. I'm keeping them though, because the product itself isn't half bad.

  • knock off blushes containers are also much shinier than the original!

  • I love your mirror. Where did u get it from and also your storage container.

  • Thank you so much for this video!

  • @emilyxdaniels u shouldnt curl ur lashes with mascara in it can break and damage your lashes :(

  • I like your makeup a lot in this video. :D

  • If it's FAKE... DON'T USE IT!!! This one teen bought fake MAC at a flea market and had to go to the hospital because there were traces of rat feces in the eye shadow! Be careful, ladies!

  • @beautypettite Oh great...I just got fakes at the flea-market today...hahahaha.

  • hi Pursebuzz,i was going through some products on Ebay.i wanted to know about Shany 40 eyeshadow palette and E.L.F. 100 eyeshadows palette, which one is better.Plz help me.

  • This is very helpful! I just got into MAC but being a student, I'm trying to find discounted products and is always in need of comparison to the fakes. :)

  • I don't personally use MAC products, but if it were me I wouldn't really care if it's a knock off unless it didn't have good quality. The only thing I don't like about the knock offs is the fact that 1) the money I payed wasnt used on the real deal 2) I payed a lot for something that wasn't real 3) MAC worked hard to make a successful company and people are just copying them for money.

  • MAC,I've notices, uses mostly black matte packaging.Looks very professional. The font is obviously different, which I'd notice in a heart-beat (I'm a makeup junkie.I settle for dupes, not brand rip-offs.) I'm going to the MAC store sometime soon for Viva Glam Gaga II Lipstick. ♡ I don't even personally use MAC,but I'd still notice a major difference.

  • I agree,I love the clear storage container in the back!

  • I really love the colour of your lipstick/gloss in this video, can you please tell me what it is? Thanks so much :)

  • omg wat bout foundaton FIX

  • Your eye make up is lovely in this clip :)

  • Where did you purchase the clear storage container in the the background??? I want it :D its awesome

  • @bellyrockin I wouldn't know, because I don't wear make-up.

  • I was surprised how shocked you were at the prices! Was it because you thought they'd be cheaper since they were being sold by independent sellers or because you knew they were fake? Meaning even if it were real, is $8 more than what you think you should be paying for second hand/independently sold MAC? Just wondering because in Canada you'd pay $8 for a drugstore eyeliner, and about $15 for a MAC eyeliner from the MAC store!

  • @88kayleigh hah because I knew they were fake and if it didn't say MAC they would be $1-$2 max. Its like buying $dollar store makeup but with a fake branding on it LOL

  • @pursebuzz MAC IS OVERPRICED MAKEUP - EVEN IF YOU GET THE PROFESSIONAL DISCOUNT - COMPARED TO OTHER MAKEUPS ..... SO OF COURSE IT IS GOING TO BE COPIED - ITS REALLY REALLY POPULAR...

  • U should do Kesha make-up from tik tok!! :)

  • I just bought a fake ambering rose blush and the quality is pretty good. Goes on smooth and it's very pigmented...

  • How can 31 people dislike this video, we've been shown how to be a savvy shopper and potentially save money and quality.....THANK YOU :-)

  • hello where did you buy this mac products?

  • i realy love your spiked bracelet, where can i get something similar as that? ive been searching for something like that since the beginning of summer!! :P

  • MAC actually has started to have the names printed on the box. ;) Pretty much all the new stock at work has the names printed on.

  • WTF? I just bought a bunch of things at MAC @ Macy's and ALL of them have names printed on the boxes and the name London is underlined...There are 2 lipsticks, 1 Mineralize Blush and a Paint Pot...

  • WTF? I just bought a bunch of things at MAC @ Macy's and ALL of them have names printed on the boxes...

  • Question: don't allcosmeticswholesale sell real MAC as well????

  • @makeupwithcindy If I can put in my two cents... I've been told they carry authentic MAC but honestly, I wouldn't trust it just to save a few bucks. Even if their items are authentic, there's no way to know if they're rancid or if they've been tampered with in some way. In my opinion, and it's only my opinion, your best bet is to go with an authentic MAC retailer, MAC stores and counters, MAC Pro and the MAC website.

  • @pinkiecharm Thanks!!! & really your just saving a dollar PLUS the shipping cost!! (You'll be paying more than you would on the mac website)

I was thinking from buying from them but I just rather just buy from the MACcosmetics website.

    Thanks again!!!!

  • thanks so much for this video! there's this booth in the student center of my school that sells discounted makeup, and they have a lot of cheap MAC products and i almost bought some, but then after i watched this I realized that they were all fake!!! thanks for saving me some money :)

  • also i have a mineralize skin finish powder with half highlighter and a rose beauty powder. they both look legit but its very hard to pick up product. like sometimes i force my brush or my fingers over quite a few times to get just some pigment.. are they fake? :/ or is there a way to make the powder more loose

  • i have a few of the mineralize blush/highlighters (? i'm not familiar with mac names much) and they look like ones i've seen in MAC stores before. the container has the make up art cosmetics etc writing embossed on it too but there are no stickers to indicate the colours or anything.. are they fake?:S

  • 9$ for a gloss? i have to pay 25€. :((

  • I love the annotations xD Impostorrr!

  • Original Mac single eyeshadows don't have sponges or mirrors. Fake Mac is not made in Canada (as most of Mac are), they are made in china and as they are counterfeit goods they are not made by US standards. God knows what ingredients and harmful stuff are in them!

  • How old r u

  • Awe

  • If you buy fake Mac products, does it matter? I mean are the fake ones just as good as the real ones or a lot worse?

  • @MakeupTheNerd I thought the same =P I think it's just NOT AS GOOD as the real mac ones. But theyre cheaper! So I could say I wouldn't care =P.

  • @MakeupTheNerd its up to you .. but its like paying $10 for a wet and wild eyeliner .. also the purple pigment stained my photo studio.. I don't want that near my eye :(

  • @MakeupTheNerd Ya but if they're lying about what brand they are they could be lying about the ingredients and contain harmful toxins etc

  • @MakeupTheNerd fake mac has different ingredients in it whereas real mac doesnt....ex : baking soda

  • @MakeupTheNerd i just bought a bunch of fake mac makeup.. from a lady and she was straight up with me... but they were for a $1.00-$3.00. but they are great for that price.. come on i cant waste my money on a freaking $35.00 brush. and i really don't believe half the people who watch this guru's actually have a bunch of money like the guru's .. heck just work with what you have...

  • Thanks

  • THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!

  • excellent video!!!!

  • OMG i just bought the fake one! You know the eyeshadow really not pigmented at all.... just disappointed!!! in my place, there's no MAC counter, and one day there's a small galleries and said we sell the real one, the price is not cheap

After i bought and applied on my eyelids.. they just come off .

If you tell earlier, but thanks for info.. i never bought instead of their original

  • Hi Elisa, just out of curiousity what did you do when you bought your fake MAC products - report the fiends to the appropriate authorities? I don't know what the US does to deter this, but here in the UK it is definitely illegal to supply, sell etc, 'knock off' or counterfeit products! I urge you not to do it, even for research purposes, as it just supports these fiends!

  • thankyou Elisa :*:*

  • thanx for this vid. ur the best

  • @0SmileBigAlways0 Curl your lashes AFTER your mascara dries. Yeah, you're going to have to clean your curler a lot more often but this is the only way it works for me.

  • what is CCO?

  • @TheAmandakev If I may answer your question CCO stands for "Cosmetics Company Store"

It is usually found in outlet malls, it will either be a freestanding store, or located inside of Saks fifth avenue stores. These stores are owned by Estee lauder. so you will find estee lauder owned brands at a discount of (usualy) 20-30% off of retail.some of the brands include: MAC, clinique, prescriptives, estee lauder, bobbi brown, ect.

  • @TheAmandakev

to find a CCO near you just go visit the website (mallseeker(dot)com) and look for the "Cosmetics Company Store"

    hope this help.

  • Comment removed

  • what do you do with the fake products, do you throw them away??

  • i have 4 blushes frm mac that i got frm macys....the name is printed on it instead of the sticker.

  • awesome tip!

  • I bought fake brushes one time. It made me sad :/

  • Yeah I was at a flea market like thing and my grandmother told me they had mac. I was suspicious, I inspected their products and I immediately knew it was fake. Mac has colours for names, not serials or anything like that.

  • @bellyrockin Thank you for telling me.

  • I LOVE your nail polish! On camera, it looks like a rose gold. What brand and color are you wearing, please??

  • @teresaannwise4 Thanks its incoco nail sticker things LOL I'll be a video to show them soon
