  • "as long as the Arctic stays cold"... now I know why they wanted to re-make it. thanks a lot global warming, now we have a man eating blob to worry about.

  • thanks for the upload. i realy liked the movie. it was definatly a 1950s style movie. thanks again.

  • So that's why we need worry about global warming...LOL

  • Somebody should make this blob a blowjob...

  • drop that fucker in a volcano

2300 degree heat will incinnerate that slimy fuck

  • Theres one thing the blob would never have a chance againts, CHUCK NORRIS!

  • Good movie.

Though, the question mark at the end implies; "The end. Or is it?"

  • @MDthornton83 Yeah I remember I used to wonder about the question mark. My parents said the same thing that it implies the end or is it?

  • @honeegrrl Yep. Funny thing is they didn't continue this movie, but made a remake of it in the 80s.

  • @MDthornton83

Actually, there was a sequel in 1972 called "Beware the Blob".

Go into it expecting MAJIOR cheese.

  • @Alevamltd I see.

  • il est bien le film de The Blob 1958 part9

  • RIDDLE ME THIS! BATMAN!

  • When the blob was little how did it absorb that acid and how did it eat the nurse?

  • Thank you for uploading this film classic. Please properly credit the production companies & other parties who created this motion picture. Thank you again.

  • Just drop it in Michael Moores sandwich.

  • shit global warming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\

  • if the blob was real u know dam right sum retard scientist wuld b tryin 2 do shit wiv it¬

and end up fuckin the whole world up no fingers pointed (americans)

  • @Gaziell stfu

  • last line cracked me up haha

  • "ok little bloby you can go devour earth but don't forget you jacket."

    " BUT MOM i won't need it!"

  • not with global warming on the upety

  • When it defrosts,The Blob might meet something it CAN'T eat and kicks it's gooey butt. GODZILLA. Let Final Wars II begin!

  • that was the best worst movie ever

  • If the blob was real, nasa would have already sent it to space instead of the artic. I would put it either on pluto or send it to the sun.

  • @kllp1000 if you sent the blob to the sun, the sun would be screwed :o

  • @kllp1000 yeah good thinking..

  • I think the best bet is to send it off to blackhole, so that way, we can be sure that it is gone for good. Nothing can escape from blackhole not even light.

  • @RogueDeath do u know how far the nearest black hole is? lmao

  • Shit! Global warming is gonna set the blob free and it'll eather start with the Scandinavians, the Russians or the Canadians... Pray for that The-Day-After-Tomorrow-Scenario to come true! I move to the equator! Bye!

  • it's a gud thing this isn't real because if it wasn't, then we'd all be dead. global warning is a mother fucker

  • Type in Beware The Blob. Instead of 10:00 for each part the whole movie is in one part.

  • 2:28 No, not the end. Global Warming. Bitch.

  • @MrRandomSkitz No, not the end. That's where Beware! The Blob comes in.

  • thank you!!

  • I bet the Greenpeace started its activity shortly after this movie had came out.

  • "As long as the arctic stays cold"

Haha it's like they were already setting up a sequel to be released whenever global warming thawed the arctic.

  • only 1 way to rid of it. Stick it in a deep-freeze chamber then put that chamber in a space rocket and launch it to the sun. If it don't freeze,it'll fry.

  • if it cant handle the cold how did it survive traveling through space?

  • @frobinhood it was inside a metorite; aren't they hot?

  • @qwertasdcfghjklmo24z

no only when it enters the atmasphere does it catch fire, untill then its frozen.

  • @qwertasdcfghjklmo24z

This is a movie. Can't they suspend reality a little bit?

  • I wonder of it could survie being dropped in lava?

  • @7DARKHELLS Thats the exact same thing that I was just thinking.

  • @7DARKHELLS

i was thinking how could it survive in space?

  • @7DARKHELLS No. Godzilla got dropped into a volcano and tons of molten lava in Godzilla 1985 and comes back in Godzilla vs Biollante. Oh,could The Blob survive a fight against Godzilla? Godzilla's been hit with almost everything but a direct hit by a nuclear warhead,he might be able to withstand a hunger snack arrack against The Blob without being consumed.

  • @dragonknight1984 I also remember Godzilla fought another Blob Called Hedorah and was able to destroy him with ease so I agree.

  • @7DARKHELLS nothing could. I would just freeze it, divide it, then go to a steel mill and drop it in the liquid.

  • @marvelmax03191 Id divide it into little pieces, and store them indefinetly in airtight containers. It'll eventually starve to death....hopefully.

  • this was a time when people were more innocent and trusted their government, when JFK hadn't been assassinated yet, which was the turning point.

  • The Inuit are safe... whew...

  • The blob:I WAS FROZEN TODAY!!!

  • thank you for sharing.

  • Wow. Al Gore could've written that last line.

  • ? riddle me this! batman!

  • "Aslong the Artic stays cold" um steve i will think bout Global Warming

  • Why give it 3 parachutes? So it can have a safe landing? Why not just kick it out of the plane???

  • @ninjawraith17 I think it would have fallen so fast that the audience might not have registered what was happening. Making it go down slowly brings the point home more.

  • OMG ..such a movie...I think I had wonderful Wanda's Bra off right now at the Northmain Drive-in in Winnipeg..at the all night show July 2 1961...The Arctic did stay cold and so did Wanda. She sobered up I got my face slapped..then I took out her twin sister WENDY..2 weeks later to. SON of the Blob....same result...I got froze out again....Sigh...such was life in the 50's and 60's....

  • @kenrocks44 I guess the Blob wasn't the only one to get frozen that night.

  • they should have freezed it then ship it into outer space, never to be seen again

  • @DaMostEnigmatic but this was the 50s

  • @DaMostEnigmatic That would have made sense, because then it could have come back to earth and they could have made a sequel, "The Return of the Blob!"

  • yea just drop in Alaska with the THING and a sign that says "Giant blob of doom DO NOT TOUCH!!"

  • I saw this movie about 30 years ago,but was so scared that I ran out of the cinema before I could see the end ! so,now finally I know the end (?) of the movie...thanks for posting ! ( by the way : I could only sleep with the lights on for one year...lol)

  • Metaphor for Liberal big government. It can't be killed, just frozen.

  • I'm going up to the arctic with a hair dryer.

  • @RustedRotor204 what are you going to plug it into????

  • "As long as the artic stays cold" and then the blob adapted to the cold.. And that's when it became THE THING! Lol, both great movies~

  • Comment removed

  • So that's how the world is going to end in 2012...

  • As long as the artic stays cold? Got bad news for you 25-year-old-prentending-to-be-a-teenager-Steve Mcqueen:GLOBAL WARMING IS UPON US! Can't wait to see what Rob Zombie does in his remake version!

  • @crodgers100

25??!!!!!! He was 28! Maybe instead of seeing Rob Zombie's film you should take a math class and learn how to count! LOL!

  • @crodgers100 global warming is a scam. the earth warms cause of sun spots, not cause of CO2, which is natural, not a pollutant. watch The Global Warming Swindle on youtube.

  • @GlobalDating Wow man, you really have the first hand infos, don't you. And now make like a tree and leave(and read some proper documentation on your agenda), you people really pisses me off to no end.

    to NO END

  • every time i watch that movie i cant eat jello 4 a while

  • Um.......is that it?

  • McBlob !

  • imagine that thing in the water eating whales and big big things in the sea. it will be unstoppable

  • Global Warming and megadeath disaters. Too bad Steve McQueen deied, for he might had starred in a huge MEGADEATH disaster film with a megadeath bodycount worst than Towering Inferno. GODZILLA VS THE BLOB! Whoever wins,Mankind gets wiped out!

  • Phew! Thank God there will always be ice at the arctic!

    Oh.

    Wait.

    Global warming.

    Crap.

  • @VillainousOperative I KKKNNNOOOWWW

  • @VillainousOperative Load it into a rocket and launch it to pluto? Or the sun.

  • @LordofDarkness42 um the sun? it lives on heat

  • @HORRORLANDFILMS The sun IS super hot, maybe it would be far to much for it to take. Either that or keep it contained so it couldn't eat, freezing DOES stop it, but preserves it.

  • @VillainousOperative ... OMG a next movie!... "THE BLOB v. J. Carpenters "THE THING" - Blob v. Thing, once the ice melts, the thing and the blob go at it, then son of blob comes in after the thing eats the blob, but then the blob absorbs thing, and... I see a ongoing franchise here...hmmmm...*looks for the movie rights*

  • @ND20074321 This is f***in' hilarious!! This Blob vs. The Thing could go back n' forth, I love it! But seriously, if these two were to go at it...Who would win? Maybe the blob? It was said that The Thing could imitate a million life forms...Maybe The Thing absorbed The Blob long time ago already.

  • @VillainousOperative

    My thoughts exactly.

  • I bet they'll do a modern version in the far future where GW thaws it out, and they'll use CGI instead of jelly...

  • I wish they'd play the song that it sung at the end of the movie. It's really great. Whenever it's shown on TV they cut that part out.

  • To kassandrasduplex; You Are Right, This Movie Lets us Remember How Nice It Was!!!!!

  • ya as long as the Arctic stays cold well its not its melting because of global warming.

  • You are thinking of another movie.

  • @Rpoman2009

Oooo! You just hit upon the best idea for a sequel/update in the history of movies! Get your ass to Hollywood and pitch it!

  • REMAKES: The Blob Returns (1969) Here Comes The Blob(1973) More Blob (1975) My Mother The Blob (1977) The Blob Goes West (1980) ....

  • Son of Blob (1983) The Blob's Great Great Grandson (1987) Donnie Osmond Meets The Blob (made for TV Movie 1989-also starring Sonny Bono) Here Comes More Blob (1990) There Goes More Blob (1991) Not Much More Blob (1992) Very Little Blob Left (1994) Blob-a-Lishuss (MTV broadcast starring Pauly Shore-1995) Christmas With The Blob (1998)

  • @SenorZorrozzz

the blob reloaded(1995), the Blob: the two jellies(1998), dude, where's my blob?(2002). blob vs jellos(2005), the 2012 blob(2012)

  • Very good. He just keeps rolling along!

  • o no global warming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I liked !

  • LOL This movie must have scared the hell out of Al Gore.

  • An artifact of an America that doesn't exist anymore. Remember when there was a vibrant healthy middle class and anyone notice the COLORFUL clothing and cars? Look at how many people wear black today and drive gray cars. And go down any Main Street USA today and see the poverty and boarded up windows...

The 1% richest Americans now own more than the bottom 95% combined, this film comes from a dead age. Great fun entertainment, melancholy reminder of what we've lost.

  • lolz were screwed now with global warmimg

  • well yeah considered all that CO2 they sprayed in the air....

  • uhhhhhh

i love the movie, but the only thing that bugs me is...

THE SCHOOL HAS MORE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS THAN A FIRE DEPARTMENT?

LOL, otherwise i love the movie, scary for its tme

  • Well, I guess as much as they practiced "duck and cover," they also practiced fire safety.

  • So... is anyone else thinking global warming era sequel?

  • The last line in the movie is "Yeah, as long as the Arctic stays cold".

  • Well, even if the ice caps were to melt, the arctic would still remain too cold.

Then again, the blob could just float like a big ice cube and drift out towards warmer waters in the sea.

  • Antartica is melting now, where does that leave us

  • No no no, they dropped in the ANTarctic. That's what McReady and crew found in 1982.

  • With the North Pole melting,The Blob plus every other monster/prehistoric dinosaur defrosting,Godzilla will be kept busy KICKING ASS for a GODZILLA:FINAL WARS II.

Godzilla Wins but Humans do lose!

  • they should have told danny to stay and gaurd the cellar like he loves to do

  • as long as the artic stays cold? he knew about global warming 50 yrs ago.

  • Rob Zombie might take that into account.

  • Due to global warming the artic will thaw out and unleash The Blob. We are doom.

  • i waz going to say that lol :(

  • "As long as the artic stays cold"

In the future when the artic melts at least we might have lasers

  • Or one mighty invincible dinosaur defender named GODZILLA. Godzilla wins but Humans go EXTINCT!

  • 2:10 stock footage alert!

  • We're all suffocating from CO2 but at least the blob is dying!

  • This is a GREAT horror movie to remind us that the horror doesn't have to scare us it has the characters!

I never though much of The Blob, but now I see it's truely is a masterpiece!

  • "as long as the arctic stays cold"

    O NOEZ GLOBAL WARMING

  • amazing movie... especially since its made in the 50's

  • Loved the ending.

Kind of thought shocking it would work, but this works to

  • Yeah! That Blob can suck my balls any day! We're all screwed when global warming finishes its job.

  • Great, just great. They say these kind of movies are naive and cheap. I would say: They are in luv with what they are doing. Wonderful ending.

  • I can't believe they don't make movies anymore that end in question marks!

  • they show part of this in Grease

  • when?

  • i have to go back and watch it again to be sure, but its either at the drive-in or on TV at the sleepover

  • "as long as the arctic stays cold"

    hehe

no.1 reason to save the environment xD

  • Exactly! We should show this film to everyone in the world.

  • @SumDude149 why dont we just send it to pluto?

  • @stupidtrooper501 that would take (many, MANY) years

  • A perfect sequel! The ending couldn't have been any better as they sure didn't see global warming.

  • Where it would never thaw out we thought. Even los lopose cant kick this 1 into outer space. Thats a big scary question mark to end this documentary.

  • crap... i guess now al gore has a new side effect to golbal warming... the blob

  • ha ha nice *the end...?*

  • so THATS THE ARMMAGEDON if we go on like this the artic will melt and the blob will be released!

  • The Blob needs to be a priority for discussion when scientists from all the nations congregate to discuss the dangers of global warming.

  • was that "as long as the arctic stays cold" an early global warming warning?

  • me and my friend were just laughing the entire movie :D lol

    we loved the:

"I can't get it off my hand!

    Oh here, let me try.

    No, you can't!

    Okay."

  • HAHAaAH as long as the arctic stays cold!

Man prophecying gobal warming right there

  • The ending looks like an Apollo command module landing.

  • thank you for the video,I watched all parts and I liked I have watched the remake in 1988, both are good , of course the second one has more effects.thank you

  • THE END

    ??????????????

  • Until Global Warming melts the North Pole.

  • i know. im never going to the arctic now

  • its amazing what ppl wer scared of in 1958

  • haha yeah

  • I remember watching this as a little kid and it scared the shit out of me. It's rather boring though; the 80es remake is much better.

  • 2:03 ... oh boy! "as long the artic stays cold"????

    OHSHITT!!!!!

This prospect a terrificant new and a big minace for the entire world: a second part of this movie!!

    :D

  • love these old sci fis

  • the end

     ¿

  • TEENAGERS TO THE RESCUE! When I was a toddler, I wanted to be a Teenager when I grew up. Hollywood made that seem as if it were the most wonderful thing in the whole wide world. This film is typical in its portrayal of teens as the hip-&-withit heroes of the world, and adults as faded and foolish.

But by the Seventies, of course, being a teenager had become something truly horrible (drugs, for starters), and other teens were to be avoided. So, I guess I never really got to be a teenager.

  • THE END ? IM SCARED NOW LOL LOL LOL LOL

  • so a creature that survived a drift of untold duration through the freezing wastes of deep space is defeated by the chill that comes when you discharge a giant aerosol can.

  • Comment removed

  • WHERE THE DOG? is die?

  • I don't think so. when they left the store their friends said it ran away, but who knows it might have got eaten later. hope not.

  • yes

  • oh shit!

    global warming!

    go green!

    or the blob shall return!!!

  • That was an AMAZING movie.... i still wonder why there was a question mark at the end......

  • because they made a sequel about 14 years later

  • Oh heh heh, man! I love that they changed the ENDing title into a big question mark.

    Thanks again for uploading BLOB1958!

  • Welcome to Downtown Downingtown? Nope. Someone didn't think that one out...

  • oh crap....

I sure hope Al Gore was wrong about the polar ice caps melting.

  • At least they were considerate enough to attach the blob to a parachute before they threw it out of the airplane.

  • I actually used to think there was a movie about Godzilla and the blob..... a man can dream.....

  • There was, sort of ... I can't remember the name, sth. like "Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster" ... the monster was called HEDORAH (I think), it was a blob of slime.

  • Both awesome movies! Godzilla vs Hedorah is an acid trip

  • When the North Pole melts and The Blob returns,a note for The Blob,

    Beware of GODZILLA!

Next film? GODZILLA vs THE BLOB: FINAL WARS II

  • Why'd they bother with parachutes?

  • 'As long as the Arctic stays cold.' ...yikes! I think we're in trouble...beware! (...beware of the Blob it creeps, and sneaks, and glides and slides across the floor and out the door...I love that song!) One fun movie!

  • Now that's a good monster movie for a change. Darn good for the 50's.

  • Too bad . . . with global warming, it'll be moving around again pretty soon! LOL
