@Multi056789 The moves you have assigned in your combo are not important here, just ensure you have a set of fast opening strikes. The attacking power comes from Dodge Cancelling attacks which you have assigned to your buttons. In this case I am primarily using Dodge Cancelled Double Palm Strike (X) to deal damage, and Taichou Punch (Back+X) (I think it's called Kablaam something in English) to build Tension.

At this point, betting on Lucky Clover in the dog races or completing Battle Arena challenges will allow you to quickly gain back your money.
Easiest way to quickly win single enemy battles (even bosses) in the arena is to equip Drunken Fist 2 - keep dodge cancelling that and they cannot hit you.

From the console, I connected the audio/video cables to a video splitter box connected to my TV, then connected an additional set of cables from the splitter box's output to the input of the video capture card. I now use a Blackmagic Intensity Pro card, this card has HDMI input and output so you can use just 2 cables (console to card, then card to TV).

Once you've got your AVI file saved, you can convert it to the MP4 format preferred by Youtube using MPEG Streamclip. You can get this software from squared5. com
@gradeaaaplus It's snobbery. Something bizarre has happened to games. For some reason they're now appraised in the same way as films are. Unless a game ticks certain boxes it goes completely over the head of these people. Games aren't allowed to be games any more, play mechanics don't count for anything. Hard Mode's level meter stays locked at level-4 "Die" permanently. In Normal Mode you will have to build the bar up manually, keeping the level maxed at "Die" will earn you a lot more points upon clearing a stage.
The guage will build up gradually to as you attack enemies, and decrease when you take damage. In Easy Mode the gauge maxes out at level-2 I think.
Wow, I never thought about spamming the Palm Smash while in God Hand mode. That's a fantastic idea. I usually just pummel punches or use High Side Kick spamming.
Once you finish the game this double palm strike is available to buy at the shop. What I'm doing here is cancelling the ending frames of the move with up-evade so it can be quickly repeated.
they will but they are avalible from the store right after the first level along with some new ones to try out. also all the helath and god hand meter upgrades are unlocked too. what i do is go into the casino and play black jack til ive got a ton of money takes a few hours maybe 2:30 and buy all the upgrades i want and skills i want then head out to the fighting arena to take on all 51 stages lol.
Oh yeah, I remember lucky clover! My friend also told me that dog usually wins. Sometimes burrito libre is a good choice too. I also remember that the red dog falls easily!
In all honesty, the game should have ended after this battle. Ass-kicking music and an intense fight under the rain? What more could you ask for. But knowing how every game must have a ridiculously huge boss at the end, I was a little dissapointed. The final boss just says "You're so pathetic" so much that it bored me to death.
I really can't wait for Madworld - I'm hoping Madworld and Bayonetta are evolutions of the genius mechanics we've already seen in God Hand and DMC3 respectively.
Technically, Bayonetta would be an evolution of DMC1, since that's the only one that Kamiya was involved with, and he's said he doesn't like the direction DMC took after he left.
Not that that's a bad thing, since DMC1 is still great in many ways, even by today's standards.

I suggest concentrating on Level Die/Hard Mode, it completely changes your game and makes the whole guard-break mechanic absolutely vital. I made the mistake of stubbornly keeping the meter at Level Die on my play first playthrough, then in order to get a "complete" data I immediately played through Hard Mode (which was exactly the same as what I just finished on Normal). Haven't played in ages though, I'd love to get back into it - having a quick blast recently I found that my play is awful.
Also do you know about the way enemies will only activate once you are within a certain proximity? You can take advantage of this and pick them off one by one should you find that you're getting swamped. Combine this with the various "traps" you can perform by repeatedly evade cancelling moves and you'll make short work of the thugs. Guard Breaking also is a simple routine; I suggest the sequence of [punch] [punch] [break] [punch] [break] repeatedly (use evade cancel on each [break]).
lolz. Personally i find easier than DmD only when fighting bosses cz bosses are normally 1vs1 while minions come in numbers which requires concentration on more than 1 target which i sux at. Not that i meant this isnt hard mode, i can tell the way the lvl stays at 'die'
What I find with God Hand is that you can really control the enemies and make everything go just the way you want it to. For example enemies cannot attack through eachother, so especially when you play on DIE you can pick them off one at a time while ensuring the rest of the pack can't touch you. Also love the way the enemies do not activate until you get within a certain range, this is another thing you can really use to your advantage.
U shud try challenging him (dont run) even when he activates devil hand. so much fun and free heat boost, provided u dont get hit. btw hard is totally different from easy/normal. its harder than dante must die
This IS Hard Mode, and it's not harder than DmD. This video is very old now and only serves as a guide. Ofcourse I've been able to create many different tactics for fighting everything shown in my video sequences but I don't upload everything, these videos serve only as a rough guide. If you are having problems at first what's shown here will work well for you - when as get better the natural thing to do is to push it further, attack more and beat him faster as you suggest.
Just bought this game a couple days ago, already beat it on normal and easy, it's not as hard as everyone makes it out to be...of course, I have yet to try hard mode...
I agree - It's not difficult at all once you bother to sit down and learn how it all works. Too often these days people expect to be able to simply blast through a game without learning it's mechanics first, infact most games now are built to accomodate this from the ground up.
Bought this game, and yea it is harder, but it is also very fun to play once you get used to the controls. Thou I really don't like that "rising difficulty level" thing and the demons what appear after you defeated some enemies. But it is a nice game.
You can reset the difficulty back down to Level 1 by using the "Grovel" God Reel technique. Once you learn their routines the demons are great fun to fight against, aim for the special kill by using "Kinteki/Ball Buster" when the demon's health is low - the O button finisher at this point will gain you a decent cash reward at the end of the stage.
It's highly unlikely you'll ever see any part of this system ever again. I agree that it would be a great mechanic to use for a Hokuto No Ken game but look what happened here; despite God Hand being brilliant and single-handedly solving many problems associated with 3D action games it was trashed by the press and suffered very poor sales.

I use a launch combo for fights like this. Once you get em up you can get in a lot of hits (until they get pissed and salto away in mid-ar of course).

Technically, Bayonetta would be an evolution of DMC1, since that's the only one that Kamiya was involved with, and he's said he doesn't like the direction DMC took after he left.
Not that that's a bad thing, since DMC1 is still great in many ways, even by today's standards.

I suggest concentrating on Level Die/Hard Mode, it completely changes your game and makes the whole guard-break mechanic absolutely vital. I made the mistake of stubbornly keeping the meter at Level Die on my play first playthrough, then in order to get a "complete" data I immediately played through Hard Mode (which was exactly the same as what I just finished on Normal). Haven't played in ages though, I'd love to get back into it - having a quick blast recently I found that my play is awful.

Also do you know about the way enemies will only activate once you are within a certain proximity? You can take advantage of this and pick them off one by one should you find that you're getting swamped. Combine this with the various "traps" you can perform by repeatedly evade cancelling moves and you'll make short work of the thugs. Guard Breaking also is a simple routine; I suggest the sequence of [punch] [punch] [break] [punch] [break] repeatedly (use evade cancel on each [break]).

lolz. Personally i find easier than DmD only when fighting bosses cz bosses are normally 1vs1 while minions come in numbers which requires concentration on more than 1 target which i sux at. Not that i meant this isnt hard mode, i can tell the way the lvl stays at 'die'

What I find with God Hand is that you can really control the enemies and make everything go just the way you want it to. For example enemies cannot attack through eachother, so especially when you play on DIE you can pick them off one at a time while ensuring the rest of the pack can't touch you. Also love the way the enemies do not activate until you get within a certain range, this is another thing you can really use to your advantage.

U shud try challenging him (dont run) even when he activates devil hand. so much fun and free heat boost, provided u dont get hit. btw hard is totally different from easy/normal. its harder than dante must die

This IS Hard Mode, and it's not harder than DmD. This video is very old now and only serves as a guide. Ofcourse I've been able to create many different tactics for fighting everything shown in my video sequences but I don't upload everything, these videos serve only as a rough guide. If you are having problems at first what's shown here will work well for you - when as get better the natural thing to do is to push it further, attack more and beat him faster as you suggest.

I agree - It's not difficult at all once you bother to sit down and learn how it all works. Too often these days people expect to be able to simply blast through a game without learning it's mechanics first, infact most games now are built to accomodate this from the ground up.

Bought this game, and yea it is harder, but it is also very fun to play once you get used to the controls. Thou I really don't like that "rising difficulty level" thing and the demons what appear after you defeated some enemies. But it is a nice game.

You can reset the difficulty back down to Level 1 by using the "Grovel" God Reel technique. Once you learn their routines the demons are great fun to fight against, aim for the special kill by using "Kinteki/Ball Buster" when the demon's health is low - the O button finisher at this point will gain you a decent cash reward at the end of the stage.

It's highly unlikely you'll ever see any part of this system ever again. I agree that it would be a great mechanic to use for a Hokuto No Ken game but look what happened here; despite God Hand being brilliant and single-handedly solving many problems associated with 3D action games it was trashed by the press and suffered very poor sales.

Damn, I have to ask Saur, how are you able to win during the punch battles on Level Die. I can't seem to do it at all... it it just a matter of starting to mash buttons as soon as you anticipate he'll grab you?

I use a launch combo for fights like this. Once you get em up you can get in a lot of hits (until they get pissed and salto away in mid-ar of course).
