  • Too bad Hakeem played with a shitty supporting cast for most of his career. He easily could have had 4-5 rings if he played with a prime Kobe the way Shaq did.

  • lazy pass ------> lazy lay up

  • Seeing this reminds me of the mid-90's when Shaq and Penny (I was a die-hard Penny fan back then, and still am) lost to the dream. Back then I was a teenager and just disappointed the team I rooted for lost, but fact is, the Dream played Center with the agility of a guard. He dominated the golden age of centers (Shaq, Ewing, D. Robinson) and is definitely the best center of the modern era. Shaq was the most dominant, but what Hakeem did was truly unique and hasn't been equalled by then.

  • he bamboozled niggas

  • If Hakeem was American, he would have been considered d greatest center ever! This guy overwhelmed all d centers he played against with his array of moves and skills. There's a reason why Howard, Kobe, Lebron and most players today still go to learn from him every summer.

  • You can have Kareem. You can have Shaq. You can have Wilt.

I'll take Hakeem 10 times out of 10. There wasn't a single thing on the basketball court that Hakeem couldn't do well.

  • Imagine someone doing the dream shake THEN the Sky Hook.....OMG i just jizzed my pants!!

  • @hthgzear Jizz in my mouth !! :o

  • A truly good block doesn't send the ball out of bounds...it gives the ball to your own team.

  • David Robinson was Hakeem's Bitch!

  • Just call this the David Robinson getting owned List!

  • he is by facebook and my frend

  • 0:47 @ #23...you're not MJ

  • That up and under was sooooooo fucking sick.

  • David Robinson and Patrick Ewing have nightmares involving playing against the Dream.

  • #1 is epic!!!!!

  • Where have all the great centers gone?

  • Sad thing that among he's best plays are two clear fouls... (#7 & #3)

  • Wow this puts it back into reality. The dream shake FTW!!! Hakeem over Russell any day of the week.

  • Does anybody know this damn song??

  • @Neast4 correction: best player of all time. dominated his position in an era with many good big men. jordan always struggled against Hakeem

  • i cant stand when people say shaq was a better center than hakeem. When you compare the two in terms of athletic ability and what they could do with a basketball, their quickness, agility, shooting, post game, you would be a moron to choose shaq. shaq was smart the way he used his inhuman size to get to the basket, but hakeem schooled him every time they played. Yes shaq has more championships, but his lakers team was one of the best teams in nba history, and hakeem carried the rockets to theirs

  • Gotta give this guy credit he played through a time with a lot of great centers he was up there with shaq andkareem

  • @NJBaller321 what do you mean give him credit? he played against these guys and still kicked ass

  • Hakeem had the best back to the basket game I've ever seen. Sure Shaq was a force of nature but he didn't have half of Hakeem's skill. Hakeem schooled him when they met in the finals. In fact, when Hakeem was in his prime, the league was full of great centers. Hakeem, Patrick, David Robinson, Shaq. It was the age of centers and Olajuwon was hands-down the best of the bunch. He's the only center who could break ankles! Today's big men are so poor compared to the 90s guys.

  • he should have played volleyball

  • Number 5 lol

  • absolutely shitted on patrick ewing haha

  • Best offensive center of all time.

  • @MIchael23Jordan84 well shaq and chamberlain could make a statement.

  • @MIchael23Jordan84 and kareem lol

  • @MIchael23Jordan84 ...... are you stupid?

  • @juicepouch1 you know nothing is a conformity unless one accepts it as a norm, including hostility towards others via YouTube comments. You could try this: No sir, I disagree with you. I believe the best offensive center of all time is... It's that easy.

  • @MIchael23Jordan84 Go ahead and hop off your high horse there MJ, I was just baffled as to how anyone could claim hakeem was the best offensive center. You can't tell me "are you stupid" is the most hostile thing you've ever heard in a youtube comment

  • @juicepouch1 Why don't you stop beating around the bush and just share your opinion as to who YOU think is the best offensive center of all time.

  • the nomber #2 man the nomber #2

  • BAMBOOZLED!!!

  • During those times is there over the back calls ?? just asking :)

  • HAKEEM THE DREAM!!!!! IS BETTER THAN RUSSEL. NO DISRESPECT TO HIM HE WAS A GREAT PLAYER HIMSELF BUT HAKEEM WOULD HAVE KILLED HIM BECAUSE HAKEEM WAS A GREAT DEFENSIVE PLAYER HIMSELF ALSO THE ALL TIME BLOCKS LEADER. THE BEST OF THE BEST...

  • DREAM SHAKE AT NUMBER ONE BABAY!!!!!!!

  • @deftdelivery I have seen many GREAT basketball moves, but the dream shake is absolutely awesome

  • the dream!

  • notice #6 hakeem's putback dunk afterwards no bullshit staredown, chest beating etc, just running back playing defense - you don't see that anymore

  • @10water

That's because he's not a ghetto thug from america.

  • Does anybody know the song/melody??

  • Jeremy Lin made the #2 play against the Lakers :D

  • should've been a volleyball player

  • @bullfinals1 There have been 3 others that have had quad doubles I believe.

  • the only player to stop Michael jordan from winning 6 finals in a row

  • @GameFreak1822554 no mike retired during that time but hakeem was still a beast. If they were on the same team tho.....

  • @TheTonyMontanah lol i forgot about him retiring,

  • 10 idiot haters huh? The Dream was the best to ever play the position.

  • quickest 7 footer of all time!

  • Comment removed

  • @cambocan Your a fuckin idiot. Go back to hiding under your Momma's dress!

  • Only person to have a quadruple double nuff said

  • Number 2 is amazing until i seen number 1 :D

  • #1 is my fav Dream move of all time. this top 10 was so sweet. i love that dunk over robinson too.

  • Hakeem The Dream is one of the best of all time

  • I watched him on Joe's vs Pro's and he hasn't lost a step! When he steps on the court it's not a game to him, it's life!

  • @TheSokori have you ever watched an nba game? 90 percent of the time players travel when catching the ball or picking up their dribble. Its part of the game and youre retarded to think that Olajuwon got away with anything that others dont do on a regular basis.

  • many of these plays would have ended with a whistle in this era...tat's why RIP big man at center...sad.

  • #2 just love those spinning by this big guy

  • Olaujawon travelled

  • The Dreamshake..... still my favorite drink.....

  • at 1:46 .. you gotta check the look on David Robinson's face...

he's kinda saying: "How can I stop this guy?!" haha! EPIC

  • @cluu96 You don't win that many championships without having serious talent. Best post defender ever

  • @garchomp119568 Bill was talented but the quality and quantity of big men during those times were no where near during The Dream's time.

  • Dwight Howard is nowhere near Olajuwons skill set.Olajuwon had to play against Ewing,Robinson,Mourning,Shaq,Smits,Coleman etc all guys in there prime at the time.Who does Howard have guarding him?

  • 1:24 go home.... just...go home

  • "hakeem gives, and hakeem taketh away"

  • No joke, #10 was the best outta all of this.

  • number 1 and 2 are two of the best moves ive ever seen

  • oh come on...admit it...it was No 1 the reason you made this video...;)

  • he had so many highlights that u could probably fill 24h easily...

  • Greatest center of all time.........

  • kwame brown is the best center of all time

  • @SoAskYourself

Even better than Brian Scalabrine or Shawn Bradley?

  • @jOARhannes nobody is greater than THE WHITE MAMBA

  • he got bamboozled

  • @Neast yup

  • best center of all time

  • @Neast4 amen!

  • @Neast4 I'd go with Bill Russell. He won 11 championships in 13 years and was the undisputed leader in all those championship teams.

  • @kapax lol love to see bill russell do that against real talent..no disrespect but he isnt near close to olaj.

  • @Neast4 well statistically Howard is better...

  • @wiljamovka the only stat that Howard has over Hakeem is rebounds.....

  • @Neast4 Second best behind Wilt. That's not a bad spot to be: I consider Chamberlain to be the best player to ever played basketball.

  • @Neast4 bar bill russell

  • @venuecam the dream is better than bill russell

  • @drexelrep Hakeem was great but puh-lease. Russell: played C/PF/SF, 11 rings, donimated the league and all at 6'9".

Compare that to a 7'2" C with 2 rings who was a really good player.

I bet you think Chris Anderson is the greatest dunker of all time as well.

  • @venuecam ARE YOU SERIOUS? ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOOPS KNOWS HAKEEM IS WAY BETTER THAN BILL RUSSEL.

  • @venuecam listen, from an all around aspect (scoring, rebounding, defense, there's nobody who played at the level of hakeem for as long as he did. yes russell has the rings, but the dream has the talent and skill.

  • @drexelrep so did Iverson. what's you point?

  • @venuecam my points that allen iverson isnt the best of all time at his position cause he was just a scorer, while there are other guards who have done that, plus more.. hakeem is the best of all time at his position because he could score, defend, rebound, and do everything else it takes to be a great center.

  • @Neast4 best power forward successfully masquerading as a center of all time

  • #7 clear offensive faoul

  • @jasongrig it is now that the rules are weaker, but back then you could get away with being a lot mroe aggresive on offense and defense. Was a much tougher game.

  • Number one is his signature move, thats why it's Number 1.

  • 3 great players have posterized Patrick Ewing, Michael Jordan, Scotie Pippen and Hakeem Olajuwon

  • @fcsahuayo i dont get your comment make me understand o.o

  • @XXNightLordXxX12 have you seen Mj´s dunk on Ewing or Scottie????

    That´s what i´m talking about

  • @fcsahuayo ah ok :)

  • Just bamboosaled LOL

  • Number 1 should be the best play ever

  • Robinson and Ewing were toast.

  • where is the game winning block from the knicks game?

  • I'll have a dream shake with strawberries please.

  • damn he had big time hops

  • I felt soo sorry for David Robinson that series! Olajuwon soo legendary!

  • There has to be more top plays with "The Dream Shake".

  • 神手!

  • LMAO. "hakeem says, obviously you don't read my stats!"

  • I made the dream shake like hakeem once and my defender had the dumbest look on his face

  • He would could still be one of the best now.

  • Heeeeeellllll nooooolllll dz nigga a beast

  • wow wow its the textbook ... one can learn so much ..

  • Look at #2. It's amazing to watch Hakeem's footwork. You're allowed to take two steps, but both of his steps are pirouettes (spinning pivot moves).

  • Ewing is always getting dunked on because he had bad knees his entire career

  • I don't know whats worse... lol. Patrick Ewing could do nothing but watch Hakeem spin around him and get a dunk... Or probably one of the best moves in NBA history, shaking David Robinson for the layup..

  • @skinnyJEANking2 Being bamboozled is worse in my opinion. lol He makes you try and then makes you cry.

  • I wish I could do #1,.!

  • number 1 is just so sexy

  • @ScopeSway especially from a 7 footer

  • 0:55 the crowd was crestfallen...

  • Comment removed

  • Hakeem Olojuwon will forever be my favorite Center... and I am a Laker fan. (Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Shaquille O'Neal... and I'll even throw Vlade Divac in there... LOL!)

  • Dream shake is the best move in basketball history!

  • whoever said he walked on that last play is a dumbass

  • propelled himself off mason. that's a foul.

  • hows that last play not a walk, man fuck all that gather foot bullshit

  • @richardkennard He keeps his left foot on the same spot after picking up his dribble (it's allowed to rotate that foot, as long as it doesn't leave the floor). The fact that you think it's a travel shows how great that move is.

  • on the no.1 play, how is Cassel going crazy on the bench and a second earlier expecting a pass from Hakeem from the top of the ark

  • best center of all time

  • Travel

  • there is nothing like "the dream"...

  • whhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaat a CHAMPION !!!!!!!!! THIS ACHIMOLANGIOUAN

  • @HariyWhat I bet you meant Bill Walton :O

  • @ThePapagenu Doesn't matter. Hakeem could shit on both of them in a 2v1. I'm serious.

  • Luke Walton>Hakeem Olajuwon

  • By the way he is also in my opinion top 20 greatest players to play...foot work was and is like no other big man!

  • @Carmelov2012 top 20? more like top10...or even top5 if you look at skills and numbers...

  • Top 3 best centers of all time....along with wilt and russell the hakeem!

  • Comment removed

  • 8 people are mad that their teams fell victim to The Dream that is Hakeem.

  • God dang no centers play like this anumore itd all power no finesse but there are still sum out there thumbs up if u agree

  • @SanAntoniosF1N3ST not with hakeem's footwork hell no. And note even with his solid array of basic moves and knowledge about basketball fundamentals.

  • Hakeem is a guard in a big man's body.

For my money Olajuwon is the most skilled center of all time.

  • #9 wasn't that impressive. Everyone is dunking on Patrick Ewing these days.

  • #6 was nasty

  • how can I think David Robinson is one of the greatest players ever after watching the number 1 play on this list

  • watch #2. He is definitely a guard with 6-10 height

  • The best post player of all time.

  • bamboozled!!!!

  • Most skilled big man ever!

  • why all nba players used to be skinny and players these days are all buff? are they all on steroid?

  • @rona321 Yes their are as well as the most of people who eat western meats and foods. The meats has steroids hgh and etc. The foods have been altered chemically. The planets are changed the same way. Their also spliced and engineered to specs. We are getting these foods for our birth through our growth rage of young adult. That's why there is all these diseases. Its not by accident.

  • Hakeem was not a player he was just a "DREAM"

  • you will never see a center hustle back and make a block like that again. They will still be complaining about a foul.

  • they don't make centers like they used to,

  • INCREIBLE, IMPRESIONANTE, DOMINANTE EN EL AREA. CON RAZON EL SOBRENOMBRE "THE DREAM"

  • olajuwon schooled everybody, lol

  • O_O after only #10

  • #10 was absolutely amazing

  • just BAMBOOZELED

  • he was the greatest all around center of all time period.

  • N1 is insane!

  • @dapper892 Um yeah and exactly who said Howard was better than Olujawon? Why are you comparing the two when Howard is still young and still improving. They're also different types of centers, Olujawon was more versatile, Howard is a machine in the post. Stop comparing the two, it's like comparing Magic Johnson to Derrick Rose.

  • Someone show this video to Dwight Howard.... Theres a lot more to the center position than emphatic dunks... Excellent Footwork, a midrange game that commands respect, and post moves beyond simply overpowering someone until your close enough to dunk or get fouled and go one for two from the line.... This guy would shit on Howard...

  • #8 is funny

  • did anybody else say " holy shit that was only number 10???" the second the video started

  • Every time I watch a player's "Top 10" Patrick Ewing is getting dunked on.
