@gruponemesis You can record real instruments in SONAR X1 just like you have been doing in 8.5 and before. TC works with a lot of loops and samples, but that doesn't mean you have to. In fact, a lot of what he's doing with the MultiDock, ProChannel, etc. can be applied to live instruments.
Thanks!...so I can customize a look similar to the previous versions? such as 1 page for tracks and the other for console? been using Sonar since Cakewalk 9.0 lol...this particular version is a huge leap GUI wise.
I have always kept up w the different versions through the years...I dont wanna be left behind =/
Dont get me wrong , im a keyboard player, so i use my share of softsynths...im not that old school.
@gruponemesis Yes, you can still float individual windows as before and move them to seperate monitors. But now in X1 you can make a different Screenset for each window being where you want it and recall that arrangement of windows with the QWERTY Number keys. And you can also place windows in the MultiDock to tab through them withut having to constantly open and close windows. :-)
I dont even know where to begin....this is a Superior product. I was mad about 2 of my shortcuts being gone (console/Wave form view)...but now I understand why.
If anybody is reading this and has doubts about upgrading...dont wait just do it!
The soft synths alone made be orgasm. You can truly customize a work flow that is right for you. on another not...it runs super smooth on my machine running win7
Now im starting to like what I hear!
originally I was almost scared off...thanks!
