  • Going off of memory of where I was standing, you see my horns in here around 2:46

    Oh, the memories.

  • Oh man. I was at this show back then. Brings back memories. (I probably commented on this way back in 2007. I forgot I had even gone until I found my shirt the other day. Its got a dude whipping a slave on it. Great memory of this night.)

  • In my humble opinion, this is THE best Nile song ever! Just can't think otherwise..it's soo..ugh. I could write a thesis on why it's the best in my opinion hahah.

  • The dudes guitar is pretty kick ass anybody know what kind it is?

  • This song increases my pulse to 300 beats per minute!

  • nile are one of metals heavey wieght bands. good stuff

  • HOLY shit, I too am wearing my exodus shirt.

  • Skullet.

  • @siraleckingofterrors I know right? At least it looks better than his shaved head...

  • nice camera!

  • This is definitely one of my favorite Nile songs off of my favorite Nile album. Love to see them pulling it off flawlessly live.

  • Fucking great. Done.

  • FUCKIN RIGHT! going to see them on halloween dude... it is gonna be fucking awesome.

  • this guys skinny as shit

  • Let me rephrase what I said. From a neoclassical point of view, one could argue that Necro's guitarists are more technically proficient. However, this doesn't hold a candle against the gutcrushing riffs that Nile write. I admire both bands but Nile is exponentially better.

  • Exodus shiiiirt! FTW!

  • Abata Ankh T ket

  • I saw them a month or two ago. they were so fucking good live. they can pull of everything they do on albums live.

  • I want a guitar that doubles as a spear.

  • great footage!!!

  • palamadre sta bien verga el pinche video! pinche dallas como putas le hace para cantar asi! bien pinche brutal!

    Brutal Death Metal!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yea dude. really good band. actually used to go hang out with the guys be4 they hit it big. they still practice right up the street. haha

  • Karl can sweep on a much higher technical level than Muhammed I believe, but just a tad off the clarity that Muhammed manages to achieve, that aside, Nile own on the song writing and brutality level! :D ITHYPHALLIC!

  • Right! Karl has some weird sweeping patterns and not always the same minor arpeggios as Necrophagist. And Karl can sweep fucking fast, I mean listen to Cast down the Heretic, The Language of Shadows or Kafir.

  • totally agree - Necrophagist just sounds like a bunch of crazy guitar wizardry, but no songs that you can remember. Nile has songs & riffs you can remember, despite the amazing brutality - which is awesome! In the end, it's all about the SONG.

  • What can I say??

I know! My favorite band and my favorite song!

    \m/ Nile \m/

  • my favorite song! :)

  • cant wait to see them this is 1 of my favorite songs from them

  • In my humble opinion, Nile owns Necrophagist in virtually every way. Necrophagist's songs almost all sound the same, whereas Nile's have a lot of variety. Necrophagist (and I stand by this) simply CANNOT write good riffs. They are absolutely amazing guitarists, but somehow they have no creativity when it comes to riffs. Nile aren't as good guitarists, but they can write absolutely CRUSHING guitar parts! Really, what's the use of being a guitar god when your creativity is shit?

  • @AntiHero1996

Nile doesn't have as good guitarists? Bull shit dude. Judging by the constant extreme tremolo picking and ridiculous solos (see Cast Down the Heretic) these guys wouldn't have much of a problem with playing Necrophagist songs, you know? I can see what you're saying because Nile usually doesn't have riffs as crazy as Necro's, but still just try imagining playing some Nile riffs as good as they do.

  • Yeah, I get what you're saying, I meant Nile's guitarists don't really "shred" as much as the neoclassical Muhammed Suicmez does.

  • only reason I don't like Necrophagist is the scene kid fans , and the fact that you just can't tap your feet to them , too much changes

  • @utterbeastage Lol, scene kid fans?

    I've never seen one.

Anyways, you shouldn't let the fanbase of a band put you off, I'm sure Nile has scenekiddie fans, too.

  • @AntiHero1996 I agree, although I wouldn't say they're not as good or that Necro guitarists are good, for me creativity is part of being a good guitarist. Dallas and Karl could sweep non-stop for the entire album, but it's obvious they'd rather write creative and technical music, rather than just technical w/o creativity.

  • @AntiHero1996 you totally shouldnt have said that

  • @AntiHero1996 First of all, your age shines through soo much in this comment. You are blind to the fact that nile and necrophagist are two completely different bands. And i just know you havent heard much of either of the two bands. Your what 13-14? You cant talk about lack of creativity and still use nile, necrophagist or any proggressive death metal band in the same sentence. Wait a few years, develop your ears or something and then come back.

  • @aurasmash I've actually heard all of Nile's albums and all of Epitaph by Necro and something like 5 songs from Onset of Putrefaction, and neither of Necro's albums can compare to anything Nile have ever released. Notice how I also said "in my humble opinion." You can't just go up to some fuck on a Nile video and say "Your opinion is wrong because I don't agree with it." You said to come back when I developed my ears? Come back when you develop a mind, asswipe.

  • @AntiHero1996 Fellas, let us try not to start pitting bands against each other when they shouldn't be. There is not point comparing apples and oranges. Necrophagist and Nile may both be classed as 'Technical death metal' but comparing them is quite immature. How about if you enjoy both of them, great! If You don't like one or the other...fine, but don't come to either or's videos and start discussing it.

  • @6Vital6Remains6 Thank you, even though I do enjoy comparing bands (I find it very constructive and beneficial when one wants to find out about other good music), I hold admiration for you since you went out of your way to not feed the trolls on that comment :)

  • @AntiHero1996 man, i love nile AND necrophagist. seriously, how can you pit two great death metal bands together? Necrophagist's riffs are more creative than niles, in my opinion, but both bands write amazing riff's. Nile writes more heavy simplistic riffs and necrophagist's riffs are more technical and creative. Would you rather Suicmez write songs like nile? then we would just have two Niles...

  • @santabamf666 Never said I wanted two Niles, just said I think Nile's riffs are better, I think they flow better and make me bang my head more

  • @AntiHero1996 ya i get what your saying. niles very driving opposed to necrophagist. but i dont agree that nile "owns necrophagist in virtually every way" and "necrophagist songs sound the same" and how "they cannot write good riffs" i get that you obviously like nile more and i respect that. but to put necrophagists song writing abilities down isn't necessary or even correct because the songs are diverse and the riffs are creative. just my opinion though

  • @santabamf666 Naw I see what you're saying man. I wrote that comment almost a year ago I'm recognizing flaws in it myself too haha. And there are many songs bh Necrophagist that make me throw the fuckin horns, like Only Ash Remains!

  • @AntiHero1996 alright man, keep it metal! \m/

  • @AntiHero1996 agreed but serios i meen i love nile there on of my favorite bands but they only have like 2 good albums necrophagist albums are all good and technical

  • @Xxgodsfuneralxx Aw really? I like everything by Nile! Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka, In Their Darkened Shrines, Annihilation of the Wicked, Those Whom The Gods Detest! They're all great with the exception of Black Seeds which was fuzzy at best :D

  • @AntiHero1996 Yea there new stuff isnt really that good

  • @AntiHero1996 I CANNOT BELIEWVE THIS PERSON IS HOLDING THE CAMERA SO GOOD

  • @stay6c He or she is truly an exemplary holder of video-capture devices

  • ASFETIU

  • also i always thought the lead guitar was karl sanders and dallas was rythm. but it seems like theyre both lead? or maybe they switch off?

  • nah they switch back and forth.

  • Karl is leade but sometimes they switch up, even the front man swtiches with either the bassist or other guitarist for vocals.

  • its my favorite nile song!!!!

  • Not my favorite Nile-song (still a kickass song tho!), but definitely their best live song!

  • Brilliant.

  • I have seen them live recently and this song totally blasted me away... fuckin incredible!!!

  • I must know where Dallas acquired such a beautiful KXK ML shaped guitar!!!!

    Help me someone please!!!

  • From KxK Guitars?

  • my favorite nile song. Dallas is my favorite death metal vocal! killer voice.

hahah, comparing CoB with Nile... comedy

  • For fucks sake... who compared alexi liaho with these guys? Dude get your head out of your ass.

COB are a fuken poser cheesy wankery bullshit band. Alexi only dreams he wrote/played HALF as good as Nile...

Go and watch COB/dragonforce and the cheesy fags head bang and dance to ur satisfaction and leave Nile for people who appreciates and understands...

    On topic... HAIL NILE!

Lashed to the Slave Stick is fuken insane \m/

  • yeah, exactly

  • I know, I was saying that tremlo all in all is pretty damn easy (: .. if you on the other hand want some extremely hard stuff, watch Rusty Cooley play

  • well, you did say that the music I listen to sucks to quite often, so actually you did offend me (: not that im hurt by it xD!

yes this song is harder than chant for ezhaton, but you wanted a headbanging tremlo song, and i got it for you.

If you want to play a hard song then try 'hatebreeder by children of bodom' the tempo is 240 and it's not tremlo picking, but still much harder to play than this song.

  • I kinda don't have a camera (: and if you want to see that tremlo picking is possible while headbanging then watch 'Behemoth chant for ezhaton 2000 live' tremlo and headbanging all the way through (: you're just too freaking retarded to understand new music, let go of the past.

  • Chant for eschaton is an unbelievably easy song. The main theme is just four notes tremolo picked. Also, Bodom is not the epitome of technicality. You want a technical song, listen to Burning pits of the Duat or Kheftiu Asar Butchiu by Nile. Or pretty much anything off their new album. The opening song is at 280 bpm.

At any rate, it's not a speed contest.

  • Listen to Only Ash Remains by Necrophagist... technicality is incredible...

  • Necrophagist is tasteless technicality. They're less songs as they are very advanced technical exercises.

  • I actually find that they are quite well constructed songs... sure they might go over the top technically but it fits with the whole song so therefore it works. I used to think they were tasteless technicality... now they are one of my favourite bands.

  • dude, I'm a guitar player and I can play this song while headbaning, I guess you're just really bad at tremlo picking xD

the reason why Behemoth can headbang so well is because they actually have headbanging skills (: watch orion, he plays the bass just as fast as tremlo picking on the guitar. still headbangs very fast and plays flawless.

  • so you're saying that it's too hard to do what they do and perform ? lol .. watch Alexi play kissing the shadows, he plays solo licks while singing, so don't come here and talk shit about CoB, they are much more skilled than Nile.

And the Behemoth guys can headbang through and entire song without playing anything wrong, it's simply about performance skills (:

  • 3.04 riff is ripoff of tales from the crypt

  • your body shall be cut to fucking pieces! bitches

  • wow he reminds me of bill bailey lol

  • what?

  • you can't really do much when you're doing guitar and vox

  • haha, there you are wrong, watch Alexi from Children of Bodom and Nergal from Behemoth, they improvise, headbang, scream and all that shit while playing guitar and doing vocals

  • nile rocks

  • Pure awesomeness!

I wish Chris would remain in the band, I love his lyrical performance so much

  • ahh, dallas is definitely up their with the top metal vocalists...

  • Comment removed

  • impressive!!

  • Now, that's what I call freakin' music!

  • Is Dallas' guitar neck really narrow looking? It looks almost like it would be for a 5 string guitar?

  • It isn't. It's just all crammed.

  • lol the guy with the hair is blowing air to the fans HAHA

  • I love Dallas' custom Dean ML. I need to get my hands on one of those.

  • The guitars really fits into the music

    that fucking metal!

  • I loooooove his freakin vocals they are greaatttt

  • i know the drummer is TIRED dude..just watch em through out the vid

  • hey buddy rape jesus? thats friken offensive!

  • fucking awesome.

  • amazing song and riff. but watch the movie creepshow 2 (the cigar store indian story). This riff was stolen straight from that.

  • Their live performance is out of this world. This is one of the bands I'd like to see live most.

  • their guitarist is wicked Fast! Kick ass metal!! \m/

  • LASHED TO....THE SLAVE STICK!!!!!

  • One of the best live bands ever to exist.

  • fiends, criminals, slaves, blasphemers, the word of Ra is against ye...

  • Awesome song!

  • U can already get it all on DC++ or prolly the pirate bay. And don't forget about the 2 Karl Sanders solo albums.

  • I know I have them all even the sander solo, I was going to upload them for people who do not want to illegally download them or want to test a cd out before they buy them.

  • @RapeJesus buy the fucking albums

  • @drmoshie Fuck buying albums, this isn't 90s. I definitely don't need more plastic discs cluttering up my home. I'll buy things worth buying from bands, but plastic discs and mp3s are not worth my $.

  • kool

  • thats a sweet exodus shirt the singer is wearing

  • love this club... and nile to boot. this is my fav song

  • \m/(-_-)\m/

  • karl uses these outrages looking guitars

that make him look cool, that make the song sound cool, and plus makes the band look awsome

  • Lol Karl looks like a total rocker in this one

  • great fukken song, This album was awesome. They sound awesome live. CD quality

  • One of those songs that will go down as a classic. Bloody brilliant, very nice vid mate.

  • probably my fav song by them

  • me too, so great.

  • I'll third that.

  • dallas is a fucking monster

  • yea he's a fuckin monster, he's one of the best vocals i've ever heard

  • Why would you even mention shitknot here...

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again: Dallas's vocals are fuckin SAVAGE.

and props for the rather decent recording.

  • they fuckin ROCK!!!!!

  • best death metal band ?? FUCK YEAH !! no one can match up with them, I mean no one !

  • Not Death Metal but Egyptian Death metal. No other band does that....so no one can beat em ha!

  • eh, they`re brutal/technical death metal, they`re lyrics are based on egyptian mithology religion, traditions and beliefs and the music has egyptian sounds and egyptian atmosphere. there`s no such thing as Egyptian death metal, but it feels good to pronounce it

  • Well they have got an egyptian Sound in em. Because of the scale they use...which is Technically Egyptian Scale lol. Their not Brutal Death metal. Technical Death metal yes. But Brutal Death Metal is completely Different. And i would say their Egyptian Death metal Because of the lyrics etc They want to sound as egyptian as they can be. Cuz its something new. I dont see any other bands trying to do what they do. Im not goin against em....Just saying my view of em, Their awesome.

  • dude they`re fucking awesome !but I`m just saying what they said in an interview " we are death metal, a brutal kind of death metal, sometimes very technical". well, their words not mine :D keep it metal dude ! \m/

  • Fair enough haha. They do rule.

  • you're not wrong dude, stuff recorded usually sounds like balls. yours is good, which is rad, there is a serious lack of live nile footage on the tube.

Nile, you should tour with behemoth...wink wink nudge nudge ;)

  • a) dallas is wearing an exodus tshirt (if i'm correct). respect.

    b) i love it how you can hear a constant egg-beater kick line throughout the whole song :)

  • Yep, he's wearing an Exodus shirt. And I think my little camera gets pretty good sound from these loud concerts I bring it to. People always laugh at me when I tell them I recorded footage because they expect it to be a constant static of overload, and while the sound isn't perfect, I'd argue that it is in fact listenable in most cases.

  • the sound is pretty damn good for a concert. they fucking rock live.

  • The singer reminded me of Glen Benton of Deicide for a second.

  • the best death metal band on earth

  • Nile rules and so does Behemoth, Aeon, Hate eternal & Zyklon

  • GOD GIVES HEAD IN HEAVEN \m/

  • He really really does haha

  • Too much teeth.

  • Too much Teeth?

  • "Too much Teeth." If reply and adding to, "GOD GIVES HEAD IN HEAVEN \m/". Implying the God uses to much teeth while preforming oral sex, or "giving head".

  • haha........Ok.........lol

  • lol, so true \m/

  • Amazing quality

  • NILE NILE NILE NILE!!!!!!!

George Kollais is one of my heroes.

By far the best band...in this video

    hahaha

    BUT SERIOUSLY

    NILE KICKS SLIPKNOTS ASS

AND LIKE EVERY OTHER POSER METAL BAND

They could all learn a lesson from Nile.

  • why do you have the need to talk about slipknot right here ?

  • FUCK YEAH! NILE FUCKING OWNS!

  • This is fucking awesome! And I'm going to see them live tomorrow, kickass!

  • Awesome live, sounds just like the album. This is the song that got me to listen to Nile, so I'll forever love this song.

  • Lashed To The Slave Stick is a good song but it doesn't really sound like Nile. Not one of my favorites by far yet still a great Death Metal song =]

  • yes its very good but its not as fast as the most Nile songs

  • wicked vocals

  • NILE!!!!!!

  • I was there!!

  • Dallas' guitar is a custom KxK in the shape of an ML.

  • i was wondering when he was gonna go along with Karl and get a KxK

  • Jesus Dallas is a beast with the guitars. Karl is good and all but he totally takes the shine away from Dallas. He is unbelievable.

  • meh i dont think he takes the shine away, Dallas sings, that gets him plenty of attention

  • Whoops. It's not an Explorer shape. Looks like a sharpened ML shape. I didn't see the second horn on the end of it point away from the neck.

  • fuckin great live

  • I saw Nile at this year's TUSKA-fest in Finland, this song is fucking insane live \,,/

  • What guitar is Dallas playing there? It's an Explorer shape but it doesn't look like a Dean Z or an Explorer.

Is it a KXK? Looks like it from the headstock. Anybody know?

  • I'm Not Exactly Sure But I Think It's A Dean USA ML, Probably Custom.

  • I assumed it was a BC Rich

  • man nile is so perfect

  • oh man, that bit when it gets faster with the string skipping stuff is SO hard to play clean. Amazing Nile, I love it

  • kings!

  • No...GODS!!!

  • Great video! Kickass to see Dalla's custom KXK in action.

  • cool vid...i'm not suprised whoever was playing bass did the vocals on karl's part and does dallas s
