the major failing of this game is faction balance - the devs presumed they would have roughly equal numbers on each faction, however this is not the case. the overwhelming of one faction has rendered RvR completely pointless

Spectated the IC under siege. Looks like Order almost brok through but had to log off. It seemed like allot of players didn't know the objectives durring the RVR battles.

any order can fight any destruction there is just differant zones were say humans and chaos fight because they hate each other the most i dont know if say dwarfs can go to the human battle zones to help kill the chaos(i havnt got the game myself YET!) or orks can go help the chaos kill humans. i hope this helps if it doesnt just tell me what you dont understand and ill try find out for you :)
I've been on trial, but I can't say I'm impressed. I went into a scenario with PvP, but I really don't get it, everyone had positive scores, and me, as a lvl 2 caster, had 30 kills 1 death... The idea presented in this vid seems amazing though, you can expierience the same stuff you see in the trailer.. But seems like this is late game super fun, cause trial blows.
Ok this is a big mistake. All the high level players will be doing nothing but attacking the contested city. The defenders will never get a chance to just enjoy it. The Trash at Mystic needs to learn a thing or two about the War, then they need to tone down the RvR and make the actual PvE game worth playing.
you have to capture 2 of 3 tier 4 keeps first, there won't be that kind of problem with the city being at war 24/7, unless no one on one side goes any where near the tier 4 areas.
I'm playing on the test server. from what I have seen, it will increase activity for a short time - until people have filled their influence bars. Gear drops are not the way to make a long term improvement in open RvR popularity. XP and renown rewards are.
I see nothing to increase xp for RvR. WHich means players still have to choose between RvR and leveling. The great majority will choose leveling.
Hmm. So if a guild spends hours taking the fortresses, sacking the city, but doesn't LOOT it fast enough, they get kicked out? That's pretty queer if you ask me. :\

This is where WAR beats WOW all players will feel like they are doing more in the game than just passing by on their way to the level cap. Low level players can say, hey i helped you guys in tier 2 and so on. The interaction with the world is top notch. The only thing i want to see is how they balance it when one side clearly out numbers another. My wow guild has all rolled destruction and along with 2 other large destruction guilds we are dominating. They need to give help to the out numbered

And this is why WAR is better than WoW. At least in WAR the guards won't respawn every 5 seconds making it impossible to kill anything combined with lvl 10 players attacking and killing 70s with the help of lvl 65 guards.

the city wont get raped over and over. they expect the major cities to get taken over probably once a month. its not as quick and easy as you might think

Dude, AoC is a joke. I played AoC for 3 months. Been playing the beta in WAR, and it like night and day how big a difference there is between these games, as far a quality goes.
hmm. i'm not gonna diss you for liking AoC, but it really isn't a very good game. there's a reason why it flopped. you're welcome to your own opinion, of course, but if you make a balanced comparison between AoC and the better MMOs out now (and coming out soon) it's hard to argue that AoC is actually any good. it's got its good bits, but the overall game is lacking.
How good will this 'end game RvR loot' be? Will it give such an edge to the victorious attackers that they can easily re-sack the city again after tier 4 resets?
ok so in the so called tier 5, does this mean all of the order( elves / dwarfs/ humans) / destruction join up to attack / defend? or will it still be like dwarfs vs / greenskins in the major city?
damn nice system dont u guys think??? But u have to make a planned attack with people to capture at least 2 main cities so it might be tricky.. but it'll be like a 200 man raid if u get to tier 5
Well the game looks fun. But i dont understand how long these battles are. Tier 1-3 could take 1 hour each or maybe 1 day each. Tier 4 looks like it could be a few hours or again a full day. The Tier 5 battle going to be a full day (8 hrs). Then victors looting of the city should be a few hours at least. With the final battle at the Kings room is at least another several hours.
Min Siege Time T1-T5, 16 hrs? Max is 4days? Will hard cores ever sleep? Will casuals ever see a complete siege?
there are certain pvp areas that are reserved for pvp, if you just stay out of those areas you dont have to worry about other people coming in and kicking the crap out of you while your questing. but you can level through pvp, so whatever you prefer
My question is, ok say a side has taken the enemys final city. He said now the winners can begin to loot and do quests there etc...just how long is the loser side players supposed to stand around twiddling their thumbs watching the other side play the game. I mean the loser side has to now sit out a week or something? 4 days? 2 days? How boring for them.
I believe he said to beware when attacking the king because the defenders r rallying their troops to defend so I don't think since they were kicked out of the city doesn't mean they can't defend their king and as soon as the king is overwhelmed it resets

Wow... To set up all the teams to capture the tiers and tier 5 is gonna take months. This game is gonna be huge. Seems like this game will revolve around pvp, which i love. I never felt right hitting an NPC. But the king is gonna be for PvP so that makes it great.
and also, please dont comment saying WoW is superior in PvP, because u know its not. Watching these PvP videos and experiencing WoW as a 70, Warhammer seems beats WoW in PvP. WoW is revolved more around PvE with all the raiding, heroics and dailies.

The New WoW Wrath Of The Loch King will fail, thats all blizz are gonna do same old thing, nothing new entirely in Wotlk, BC wasnt a big step like Blizz made it u=out to be, it will fail and fail badly all wow players are tards, Warhammer will be slow at the start but it will exceed past WoW with flying colours. Wotlk is GOING to be bad and will fail, not many people will want to do the whole leveling thing again, its boring and nothing good to get out of it.
It's all well and good bigging up the end game, but I'll bet any money it's gonna be really boring to get to that stage. TBH, I think many people wont think its the effort and will bail out after like lvl 20. In DAOC the leveling was shit in that too, I wonder if they've learnt from their mistakes or whether they are trying to cloud everyone's mind with "EPIC SIEGES" "LOOTING AND PILLAGING!". Frankly, im not gonna be bought over and I question whether I shall buy the game or not. (not a fan boy)
The thing is, you get to do this the whole time as you level up. In every zone there is some way for you to destroy enemy settlements/buildings/whatever and kill enemy players, and of course getting a nice reward and the end of it all.
I play WoW and I agree with yurriah. But you got to remember that WoW is bringing in a new thing with Wrath of the Lich King.. whiche is Seige weapons or something.. this mite promote PvP things....
im just afraid that on some servers one side with dominate the other side and be constantly in control of everything but im just trying to think away the time till the game comes out
Go Back to WoW. Its called roaming PVP. Sure you're going to have the zergers who are FOR T3h Realm who think its cool to take keeps. While they're busy taking keeps you will have the 6 mans roaming and looking for the 6v6 fights.

Dude, AoC is a joke. I played AoC for 3 months. Been playing the beta in WAR, and it like night and day how big a difference there is between these games, as far a quality goes.

hmm. i'm not gonna diss you for liking AoC, but it really isn't a very good game. there's a reason why it flopped. you're welcome to your own opinion, of course, but if you make a balanced comparison between AoC and the better MMOs out now (and coming out soon) it's hard to argue that AoC is actually any good. it's got its good bits, but the overall game is lacking.

i agree, and i ain't no WAR fanboi, i pre-ordered AoC collectors edition but ultimately it was just boring and dull... simple as that.
now I've pre-ordered WAR and i hope it will satisfy my need of an mmorpg with actual gameplay.

ok so in the so called tier 5, does this mean all of the order( elves / dwarfs/ humans) / destruction join up to attack / defend? or will it still be like dwarfs vs / greenskins in the major city?

Well the game looks fun. But i dont understand how long these battles are. Tier 1-3 could take 1 hour each or maybe 1 day each. Tier 4 looks like it could be a few hours or again a full day. The Tier 5 battle going to be a full day (8 hrs). Then victors looting of the city should be a few hours at least. With the final battle at the Kings room is at least another several hours.
Min Siege Time T1-T5, 16 hrs? Max is 4days? Will hard cores ever sleep? Will casuals ever see a complete siege?

You can easily get around and level in just PvE zones, but the main part of WAR is the PvP.

there are certain pvp areas that are reserved for pvp, if you just stay out of those areas you dont have to worry about other people coming in and kicking the crap out of you while your questing. but you can level through pvp, so whatever you prefer

My question is, ok say a side has taken the enemys final city. He said now the winners can begin to loot and do quests there etc...just how long is the loser side players supposed to stand around twiddling their thumbs watching the other side play the game. I mean the loser side has to now sit out a week or something? 4 days? 2 days? How boring for them.

hopefully the Quests will probably only take a few hours or something to do until the king is ready for the plucking...
presumably during this time most likely the defenders will be able to do other public quests and PvP battles.
of course this is all guessing and i don't really know.

I believe he said to beware when attacking the king because the defenders r rallying their troops to defend so I don't think since they were kicked out of the city doesn't mean they can't defend their king and as soon as the king is overwhelmed it resets

Wow... To set up all the teams to capture the tiers and tier 5 is gonna take months. This game is gonna be huge. Seems like this game will revolve around pvp, which i love. I never felt right hitting an NPC. But the king is gonna be for PvP so that makes it great.

and also, please dont comment saying WoW is superior in PvP, because u know its not. Watching these PvP videos and experiencing WoW as a 70, Warhammer seems beats WoW in PvP. WoW is revolved more around PvE with all the raiding, heroics and dailies.

Its funny to see how all wow " fanboys " goes all defensive. WAR pvp is so much better than... as far as i know PvP is non exsistant in WoW except for arena... BG's is one big leech battle and world pvp is dead.

The New WoW Wrath Of The Loch King will fail, thats all blizz are gonna do same old thing, nothing new entirely in Wotlk, BC wasnt a big step like Blizz made it u=out to be, it will fail and fail badly all wow players are tards, Warhammer will be slow at the start but it will exceed past WoW with flying colours. Wotlk is GOING to be bad and will fail, not many people will want to do the whole leveling thing again, its boring and nothing good to get out of it.

It's all well and good bigging up the end game, but I'll bet any money it's gonna be really boring to get to that stage. TBH, I think many people wont think its the effort and will bail out after like lvl 20. In DAOC the leveling was shit in that too, I wonder if they've learnt from their mistakes or whether they are trying to cloud everyone's mind with "EPIC SIEGES" "LOOTING AND PILLAGING!". Frankly, im not gonna be bought over and I question whether I shall buy the game or not. (not a fan boy)

The thing is, you get to do this the whole time as you level up. In every zone there is some way for you to destroy enemy settlements/buildings/whatever and kill enemy players, and of course getting a nice reward and the end of it all.

Go Back to WoW. Its called roaming PVP. Sure you're going to have the zergers who are FOR T3h Realm who think its cool to take keeps. While they're busy taking keeps you will have the 6 mans roaming and looking for the 6v6 fights.

Thats is what i fear of. Im a true fan of warhammer eversince the table top gaming to the 40K pc games. But the things is, Blizzard can delay their update, release time etc.. just to make their fan happy. But this game stuck with EA and EA will keep pushing things which MAY make this game not as true to the warhammer world as suppose to.
Coz for me ProEvo > Fifa (which is by EA).
