@emogoth22 Actually the reverse...Guyver was based off of Kamen Rider (the original manga, anyway), according to Guyver's creator, Yoshiki Takaya. It would make sense too, since the original Kamen Rider predated the first volume of the Guyver manga by close to 15 years (the first Kamen Rider series ran from 1971 to 1973, the first issue of the Guyver manga came out in 1985-- and is still ongoing).

Guyver 2 Dark Hero was a little better, much better outfits but same bad acting and dialog.

Guyver needs to be Remade, even if it still isnt the best it deserve it. Besides it has alot of potential to be good depending on budgets n who directs it.

Actually, not quite true. The Power Rangers came into play long after the Guyver was. But that show was based on suits that gave them super-human abilities and power to boot. The Guyver much like the Power Rangers was a space-borne power source that came from a distant planet. And much like the Power Rangers, outfits its host in a bio-organic-mechanical suit that not only increases its strength, but acts like a suit of armor. And that's where it separates between Power Rangers and the Guyver.

And the separation occurs where the Power Rangers were given their abilities to fight for mankind. Shawn stumbled on the Guyver by accident. He found it. Unlike the Power Rangers, Shawn CHOSE to fight for good. He wasn't governed by an alien being like Zordon. So he had no direction, no purpose. And there in, he found a purpose to fight for. So, the Guyver and the Power Rangers are very different indeed. Although the idea of the shows seems to almost the same at times.
