  • Hi Nancy, I love everything about you, but I guess you get bored reading that comment!. I live in Ohio, US and I would really love to get some natural felt, like u have, any suggestions? Are you on Facebook? R most of ur soaps done in the Crockpot?

  • @mssherman522 No, I never get bored hearing I'm loved! :) I'm not sure why I'm loved, but I'll soak it up anyway!

Natural felt is fleece, or wool from a sheep. Are there ary sheep farms in your area? You could ask at a local feed supply store...outskirts of the city. There must be a cooperative where they sell their fleeces. fleeci? :)

I am on facebook. Most of my soap is done in the crock pot. All, actually. I haven't thought of making cold processed for a long time! Huh.

  • 羊毛皂~~JOY TO DIY~~

  • @anmelove Yes it is!

  • why do you have to do this to soap? just wondering :)

  • @ButchKing01234567 You don't have to felt soap, I just wanted to so the soap is in its own washcloth.

  • Nancy this is the quietest I have ever seen you in one of your videos. Perhaps it is relaxing and a form of meditation doing the felting?

  • I guess so. Interesting. I was very tired and didn't want to do this, so I was just making myself do it.

  • Maby there is a way to add the fibers into the soap making ingredients so the fibers are in the soap itself.

  • wow! That's a profound thought! I bet that would be interesting! Cutting the soap into bars could be difficult if my knife isn't sharp enough. It would pull the fibers through the soap and leave little hole tunnels in it! I'll try it out. tx

  • Perhaps the fibers can be set in one direction and the soap cut in that direction or something. Who knows, the Fiber Theory remains to be tested.

  • If a simple method can't be found to cut the soap like that, maby a bandsaw for wood can do it, but I'm not sure if any possible soap particles would interfere with the machine.

  • I have a deli meat cutter. I bet that would work!

  • Very interesting. Fiber theory test coming up...
