  • Wow, amazing vocals! I listened to another song a few months ago, I cannot remember the vocals being this great? wihu, eargasm <3<3333< 3<<333<<3

  • Elliot voice is ridiculous. especially live. Get over it.

  • Kicking myself for not going to see these guys @ Northern Lights

  • Can this dude growl, I haven't heard much from the other bands he was in.

  • @Freezaen Look up the song Immaterial by Haunted Shores and your question shall be answered.

  • @edubchrist Epic fucking win man and what a friggin' relief, Dan's growls were really so-so, so were his cleans live, but whatever. XD

  • Elliot's so light jazzy I'm not sure he fits the guitars. He does sound good through most of it, but he really needs to hit the grunge in his voice to match Dan.

  • TesseracT really fell off. This new singer is no bueno. I'll continue to enjoy their first album but it goes no further than that.

  • Shiiit noooo. Dan was perfect. I loved Tesseract and with Dan fit it's perfectly. Conceling the fade is fucking damn good song. But now they have this gay singer who sounds like mickey mouse. Come on. Can't be serious. What's happen that they changed the Dan with this. Pity. Wanted to see them live but now, pfuuh Hmm not easy. In my opinion he is a mistake. They have with Dan so much potential. AND YEAH that's my opinion, so please stop moaning. I give a shit about it. THUMPS UP FOR DAN BACK!!

  • His voice sort of reminds me of Getty Lee's.

  • "He's no Dan" Blah fucking blah.

No shit he's no Dan. He's fucking Elliot. Get the fuck used to it. I swear some of you people are so scared of change, you probably never change your shitty undies.

  • @Brendanlikesthis well put.

  • @Brendanlikesthis Dude, I loled at this. Kudos.

  • @Brendanlikesthis Hell yeah, ive been jamming his Zelliack shit. Elliot Coleman is incredible.. and i didnt know at the time he was actually at the concert, touring with my favorite band, Between The Buried And Me. seriously tho, everyone should know about BTBAM, thats just a cold hard fact..type you in some " BTBAM best solos" and then " Boot Dagger Boogie" w/ that solo about a minute in

  • For anyone posting comments like "Oh Dan was great but Elliot is still good" to get thumbs up, just check any live video of Elliot and after seeing his metalcore attack attack like dance tell me what you really think of him. He sounds like a guy on helium.

  • @LoganCovers91 what a bitch ass cunt. go fuck yourself. hes trying.

  • in the beggining elliot sounds like cedric from mars volta. EPIC

  • I don't know why but something about this song makes me think of Led Zeppelin. Especially the beginning, love it!

  • @cameronjm79 YES. I KNOW! he sounds like robert plant and like freddie mercury put together kinda!

  • jay amos acle

  • I would like it, but with another name.

  • Love it. Does anyone else thing there's a little bit of Protest the Hero in some of his singing?

  • this singer should go sing with Heart...

  • elliot sounds a lot like anthony green from circa survive.

  • @KyuubiXX243H98 More like the metal Matt Bellamy to me.

  • Is it just me or does it seem like Elliot's vocals are a little too quite? It's hard to make out what he's saying. Seems like that on eden 2.0 to me as well. Just wondering if its just me.

  • @cameronjm79 It's not just you. Means End's vocalist does the same thing; I suppose it's to sound subtle or mysterious or some shit.

  • @CrestalMyth good to know I thought was just me. too much half stack in the ears for years has tweaked them a little. I have the same issue with a lot of inflames songs. the vocals are buried in the mix.

  • Being a metal singer myself, I know that singing songs that were written for another singer's voice is very difficult, so for all haters out there, give Elliot a break. He's filling in where Dan left off.

I guarantee the next album will be disgustingly awesome when Elliot's style comes through.

  • Its actually The Mars Volta. WiTh DjEnT h4h4

  • Wow! I sure did blindly judge that one at first.

  • DOWNLOAD LINK

  • i seriously cant wait for the new album i listen to this everday. i love his voice

  • 1:56 gives me multiple orgasms.

  • Replay Raped. Mad respect for Elliot

  • 50% DAN 50% ELLIOT come on guys almost all the coments in this video are about dan's departure and elliot's style. give the guys a break.

I loved the drums in this track it sounds so powerfull, jay's a fucking BEAST.

  • Did nobody else sense the PTH in the vocals?

  • @454james454 no? i dont think there is one

  • This took a long time to grow on me, but I'm really enjoying it now. Just gutted that SEA are seemingly done.

  • Sounds a bit like Megadeth in the beginning lol.

  • Comment removed

  • I hope this means no more whiny TesseracT. I'm pleased with Elliot.

  • Trackmarked amoeba lands craft, EEENDLESS PLEEASUURE

  • this is awsome

  • elliot is great. he kinda reminds me of thom yorke

  • @rscricca YES! thank you. Problem is with all these haters is that they're too narrow minded in just metal, they don't see diversity in music.

  • lyrics guess Say it to me Id kinda hope youd stay Say it to me Its falling like rain So much power its hard to believe what i see isnt real When the light seems to move you Its surely something like this. If your notice a pattern that circles around me Would you let me know I like bowling balls :P It will Happen Something i cant believe thats right before my eyes so what is there left to discover nothing is right well find a way fighting sulphide in the rain so what big girls swim with lions
  • I like it

  • Comment removed

  • Why not just make Tesseract an instrumental band now? These vocals are a complete turn off.

  • Sounds like Led Zepplin went Djent. I like

  • Now, I likely have an unpopular opinion here, but actually think Elliot adds a more unique quality to the band, and I think he's just what they needed. I loved Dan's voice on one, and the song April is one of the most emotional songs I have ever heard, but his voice just isn't as weird and outlandish as Elliot's is, and I actually love it..

  • Woo! managed to get the second top comment to be the top comment!

    My life is complete!

  • @ForeverNeverFan No, mine is.

  • I absolutely love Elliot's voice on this. There's just so much character to his voice

  • i was JUST introduced to this band, so i have absolutely no bias towards either singer, and alredy coleman has proven to have the better voice. Dan voice sounded good, but id watch him live and he seemed uncomfortable, and almost forced. now i hearing he left for some pop band, yeah that makes total sense. elliot is a great fit, and best of luck to Dan, God knows hel need it

  • @4stringFanatico I remember I thought the same about Dan until I saw him actually live. Dan was honestly flawless live. Not to mention he was one of the nicest guys. But hey, to each his own haha.

  • @nivramrelyt im sure he was the nicest guy hahaha in the music business today, everyone has massive talent, so no one can afford to be a diva, or they get fuckin booted for someone better. not saying that was the case at all. he is a great singer, really good actually, but i happen to think that elliot is a great fit as well, and after seeing them perform in LA this past sunday, i was absolutely blown away. emaculate. and he signed my shirt too :D

  • @4stringFanatico then explain half of the singers in the metal genre

  • @fattasticsteve explain your question :P haha

  • @4stringFanatico haha, its just you said that none of singers in the metal genre can afford to be divas, well I have met many who are haha, Jonny Craig, Mitch Lucker, Craig Owens, and many others, who were divas.

  • @fattasticsteve then theyre probably very successful and by that point they can brag and be dicks, but unless theyve achieved sucess, being an asshole isnt very efficient.

  • @4stringFanatico I wish that were true, but I have met many a douche in my time, far more awesome and genuine guys, but I have met my fair share in the metal scene

  • @fattasticsteve But those singers aren't metal, with the arguable exception of mitch lucker

  • @nojji if you take them out of the equation, then you also take out Elliott Coleman as well.

  • The chord progression of this song sounds a lot like "Buds" by Uneven Structure, but shittier vocals.

  • Oh fuck i LOVE this!!! Thank you TESSERACT You are my Oxygen on this planet \m/\m/

  • Dan fit the music so much better... Seeing them live today though, hopefully Elliot sounds better live.

  • @bUMf1GHT Did he?

  • @bUMf1GHT Saw him live last friday in Dallas, he's a fucking beast. Definitely better than Dan imo.

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey

I was that show too actually, lol. I thought he was ok. I liked him when he was signing Dan's parts like he does on the record. I didn't like it when he did that falsetto stuff though.

  • @bUMf1GHT Dude, we could have met and not even known it O.o

I agree, man. I don't get why everybody dislikes the falsetto. It wasn't great, but it was decent.

  • Dan had vocals that matched the music so perfectly. This is okay, the music is mind blowing but the vocals are just eh for me, maybe ill learn to like them.

  • i liked dans vocals better :(

  • eargasm volta

  • Djent Mars Volta?

  • So much for that other fag with shitty vocals. XD

  • i think i just felt that dan was one of the best vocalists in metal, he had the same kind of feel about him as maynard james keenan from tool, i don't think that can be matched, also the music to this demo sounded a little bit samey, well we can only see how the new album with elliot turns out

  • Ugh, can't really stand it....he sounds like a little kid.

  • @Guitarman8832 sad, but he really does

  • @itsTempleofSound

It sucks too because I was a really big fan of Tesseract. :(

  • @Guitarman8832 yea, at least some people seem to be enjoying it though, would hate for them to just die out

  • @itsTempleofSound

Yup, like I bought "One" the instrumental version of their album...so maybe I can just keep doing that..

  • his vocals are brilliant, his normal voice, shit, none of them sound the same.

  • heard this performed live for the first time ever... just sayin... :3

  • Why the hell is people hating on Elliot? His voice fits perfectly into to the music and his range is amazing. If anyone can ever replace Dan, it's Elliot for sure

  • absolutely love the feel of this song

  • tesseract are sooo good , i dont lik elliot however! regardless i will make an effort for the sake of not being a close minded retard

  • Not saying its bad but Elliot reminds me so much of the singer of The Mars Volta! XD

  • @mrdiscoballpaul That's exactly how I felt.

  • @CaptainAawesome Ya Man, he does fit the part really well! But still maintain Dan is so much better and he suits the part much more! Then again if ya think about it, if it was the other way around and it was Eliot from the beginning and Dan was the new singer We'd all prob be like Eliot's the man!

  • I love this

  • oh man, does anyone else think at certain parts elliott sounds like robert plant?!?

  • Elliot's actually growing on me especially after the new version of Eden. The beginning of this song's a little weak but around a minute and a half I'm loving it.

  • I've known Elliot for a few years now. It's weird to go from hanging out in his apartment to seeing so many people commenting on him.

  • Beginning reminds me of Maynard James Keenan a bit

  • The Meshuggah Volta

  • @Tummystick80 Not until you mentioned it! I always think of muse when I think of Elliot Coleman but he sounds more like Geddy Lee. Either way he's sooo good, although it's very hard to replace Dan's incredible Eden vocals.

  • this will be the next Dream Theater- people will love the music and hate the vocals

  • @mab33drum funny you say that because i was just thinking that he looks like Portnoy

  • It's kind Mars Volta-esque . I like it.

  • @kolektiv7

That is exactly what I thought when I heard this, I like it.

  • @kolektiv7 When Cedric meets djent. I like it.

  • I think this sounds amazing. Seeing them live on November 3rd :)

  • I am seriously addicted to elliot's voice. It's so amazing.

  • I must admit, I wasn't exactly enjoying the thought about coleman joining the band, but I think that the output so far is okay.

  • When I hear this I can't help but be reminded of Rody from Protest the Hero.

  • I didn't care for these guys with the old vocalist. I really like this, however.

  • anyone else think of Geddy Lee? I think the vocals are cool as shit

  • I think he sounds great, aside from the REALLY high singing. I heard his screaming/growling on a haunted shores track and its fuckin brutal. It'll sound UNREAL on some tesseract grooves.... FUCK and i was just really started to like dans vocals.

  • @2playDead

I have had a few weeks to get used to him, he is really growing on me now.

  • lol @ some of these posts. ;> if acle found someone that sounded too much like dan, you'd say, 'omigedz, he's just a dan clone and needs to incorporate more of his own style!'. yes, elliot sounds different, but in a positive / energetic way IMO. he has big shoes to fill (dan was phenomenal), but i have no doubts he'll be great for tesseract.

  • sorry but he is shit like its not sounding right like

  • Metal Jeff Buckley?

  • @rythmicpulses1 That's exactly what I said!! LOL

  • @rythmicpulses1 cedric bixler-zavala

  • Elliot is a great vocalist, no question. But he just doesn't feel right for TesseracT. The vocals on One had a sort of desperate, yet powerful quality that I considered a very important part of their sound. I'm sure the new album is going to be fantastic, but I'm personally not a huge fan of his voice in this context.

    It's still fucking awesome though.

  • I think it's quite good, but not as good as Dan though. Tesseract will be just fine with Elliot and can't wait for the new album!

  • Terrible

  • The tone of his voice isn't my thing at all. It doesn't sound very strong.

(And by strong I don't mean his vocal cords, I mean he sounds like he's in a ton of pain.)

  • Honestly. not as bad as I expected it to be. My biggest fear was that the band's style would change because honestly when bands get new singers their styles tend to change drastically. But hey should I really have been worried? Acle has sounded about the same since FELLSILENT, only growing more mature and technical. At least I wont go into massive depression when the new stuff comes out and they sound nothing like the band I fell in love with because of One.

  • Not gonna lie. I was expecting pure shit, but this isn't that bad.

  • He sings really damn high!

this is the first time I have heard this guy properly and I don't think he suits Tesseract very well to me but I will adjust in time, his voice ain't harsh enough for me.

  • Why did tesseract choose this guy? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

  • I love how people base everything on a 2:25 long clip that only has cleans on it. Fucking wait for the album till you judge... Elliot also sounds amazing on this imo.

  • desculpa, mas eu não curti isso aí não viu. a voz dele parece com a do vocalista do sleeping with sirens :T

  • Is that falsetto in the middle of the vid?

  • @NoaOno Yea definitely 0:57. Sounds a bit like Protest the Hero's style for a bit.

  • @emann43 Weird thing is that Elliot once said he doesn't care for PTH

  • @NoaOno If you mean aroun 1:00, I don't believe it is.

  • :(

  • Freddy Mercury is singing for Tesseract now?

  • epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic epic

  • sooo good.

  • this reminds me of a heavy heavy led zep, not comparing them to eachother, just saying i get this vibe from the epic ass vocals, loving this shit.

  • I am not a member of Team Butthurt, therefore I love Elliot's vocals.

  • Heh, It will be funny when in a year everyones gonna love his vocals. I mean, he sounds amazing on Haunted Shores and OMNOM. Fast paced and melodic. I mean it feels awkward but i can get used to it. And to all those ignorant fans, convert to Uneven Structure.

  • @TrainsforGTA What do you mean convert to Uneven Structure?

  • @TrainsforGTA I just listened to Uneven Structure and they're really good!

  • @ArtificialFlavaFTB2 indeed! the new album is awesome!

  • @TrainsforGTA dude, uneven structure is awesome xD

  • @TrainsforGTA guess it's bad that I like uneven structure then? although I will say Elliot sounds epic, suits him well I reckon.

  • @thekidbass1 not what i meant, but uneven structure is like hauntingly beautiful.

  • @TrainsforGTA now i feel like a pillock, sorry i misunderstood you

  • Dan BELONGS in this band. It's a sad time.

  • MAAAN! Trace would do a good job in The mars volta! SHIET!

  • i do not think he fits in tesseract i would prefer a vocalist with more depth in his vocals and a very good scream. if found "abi" to have the best vocals yet for tesseract. "elliot" sounds much alike the singer off the mars volta whom i like also and he would be good for that genre

  • mmmmm....

  • that's certainly better than the live stuff haha

  • unreal! this gave me such a Tess-erecTion and i Djizzed all over the shop!

  • i think this guy is one hell of a singer, putting something different into the genre, and godknows the genre needs something different. id say that tesseract are just getting started and are on to something here. and definitely do not deserve any RIPs!

  • after listening to this again, it's actually pretty awesome :) good job tesseract! great job elliot!!

  • I have to say as much as I love Dan Tompkins, I keep forgetting that Elliot Coleman is the one who sings on two Haunted Shores songs. Elliot Coleman is truly the Muse of Metal and he has such an incredible voice!!! I have a feeling that TesseracT is in for a great album

  • @MrNicetomeetya By "Muse of Metal" I meant he sounds like a metal version of Matthew Bellamy

  • @MrNicetomeetya By "Muse of Metal" I meant he sounds like a metal version of Matthew Bellamy

  • R.I.P. tesseract heavy metal vocals fail...

  • @TakedownR3ACT If Dan's vocals are heavy metal to you. then you sir are the one lacking success.

  • I've never been more disappointed. Ever. I found Tesseract right before Dan joined the band. He came in and was truly the missing link. "One" is a complete and whole album, not lacking anywhere. A group of guys in perfect synchronization. This is just wrong. There's no way the guys are putting down such amazing tracks instrumentally, and are listening to Elliot track vocals, saying, "yeah, that's exactly it, that's just what this track needed. Now it's complete". R.I.P. TESSERACT indeed.

  • @revenantdrums they clearly are, otherwise they wouldn't have auditioned him and selected him, AND chosen to release this demo. Tesseract isn't dead, but flippy floppy fans like you seem to think so. Nevertheless, despite the fact that I couldn't disagree with you more, everyone's got an opinion.

  • @revenantdrums I completely agree with you, "One" is one of the most beautiful things I've ever listened to. Once this new album comes out, I'll sure be tuning out this singer. Dan was the man (rhyme intended).

  • ...to the 00:15, it's a great song..the rest is a headache...

  • Buzzkill

  • Ya Elliot Coleman was amazing in this song! Never was a fan of his other work but this was sick.He uses pretty unique note combonations and the placements are fresh.Looking forward to this next album.Dan was a beast but Elliot wont dissapoint. And i really need the rest of this song...

  • Fuck me... I don't like it. -,-

  • Looks like Tesseract is having Periphery-itis... they change vocalists and everyone says, "TEH OLD ONE WAS BETTER!!!"

  • @StaulkHolm More like AnyBand-itis.

  • @StaulkHolm To be fair though, people saying that of Periphery have some merit.
