  • @SurvivorRye Just reading back on these old comments; the guy talking about a mile kill and killed an MG team shot the MK211 Raufoss into a wall and it destroyed all 3 targets behind that wall. Steve Reichert - they made a documentary about him if you haven't already seen it. And I agree with you full-well, you do not use tracer rounds out of a precision rifle and this was a reaction not a flinch.

  • Not everything is like COD, you expect a living human being to shoot a 50 and keep his eyes open for the whole mag? Human nature..

  • fellas, fellas! please! stop arguing! we're both badass!

  • He's flinching after firing, it's a 50. Ever fire a fifty before, there's a hell of a lot of backblast. The pressure wave alone is enough to flinch some of the best snipers.

  • @Alloyaha i can imagine... by the time he flinched, the bullet was prolly already half way downrange :-p as long as there is no flinching or jerky motions before the bullet leaves the barrel it should have no impact on accuracy whatsoever

  • faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiivvv,fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrr,frrrRRiiiiiiiiiiriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii *lol*

  • Those flip scope covers are in the way for proper hat wearing shooting. I'd show u 600m X's while not wearing any hat.

  • I'd jump too if it meant I was gonna get scope bit.

  • wtf, and why is he wearing a cadpat boonie?

  • :10 - :14 sounds like the suspenseful parts in terminator :D

  • boommmm headshot 100 xp gained

  • @erwin234567 booooom here come cod fanboys ...

  • hell id flinch to its a natural instinct

  • @soonersfan96 It's not a flinch, it's a reaction. A flinch is what occours before the shot, and it's what shooters do not want.

  • He flinched because:

    1. Thats a MacMillan Tac .50

    2. He's Canadian

  • that looks more like a .338 fool

  • Looks nothing like a 50

  • I would flinch too , see how fast the recoil is,

  • what kind of sniper is that??

  • He's just a bad shooter. You should never flinch when fireing a rifle( but he's using a .50, I'll give him a break)

Flinching will cause you to be a bad shot because you are moving your body which will move the gun.

  • You put a piece of metal right in front of my eye and I know there will be recoil, meaning that metal will be coming back to me.... damn right I'll flinch. I only have two of them and plan on keeping it that way.

  • I looked it up. Like 2460 meters in the korean war. What's that like 1.39 miles?

  • Look further, that was the old record. Canadians have the new one.

  • Corporal Rob Furlong 2,430 meters. (1.509 miles) is the longest confirmed sniper kill to date. p.s. he is canadian

  • @nezzy14

    What are you talking aboot?

  • its pretty clear what im talkin about... and learn how spell... unless you were trying to pull some dumbass american stereotype, which if you were you failed miserably... but i would love to stay and bash you some more but i need to rebuild my igloo, cause its starting to melt and I also need to take my pet polar bear for a walk...

  • That may be so....however, let's look at the specifics. Carlos Hathcock used an M2HB HMG with a scope attached that he jerry rigged onto it. Furlong had an was u sing a specially designed weapon and a much more powerful scope. He also had the advantage of open terrain in Afghan vs Hathcock doing it in Vietnam. Nice shot I agree, but I am still more impressed by Hathcock using a standard M2 with paddle trigger on a moving target.

  • dude in the korean war they didnt even have scopes yet and the ones they had sucked ass. how you gunna snipe someone fron that from without the technology and without a scope?

  • Look up a guy named Simo Häyhä. Most confirmed kills of any sniper in history, and only used iron sights.

  • @sykop8ntballer he only used iron sights because wherever he was from like russia or poland the scopes would blur up... thank you history channel

  • Yup, but I'm just saying that the most successful sniper in the world didn't use scopes. It is possible to shoot well without optics!

  • actually they did have scopes in the korean war...

  • but they sucked and most snipers prefered not to use them.

  • Ok,... first you say in the KOREAN WAR they didnt even have scopes....then you say the ones they did have sucked?...Which are you going with???? First off Scopes have been around since 1880's if I recall ...Heck "Leopold" has been around for 100 years!... WYI ...brush up on you history.

  • It wasn't Korea, it was Vietnam. Carlos Hathcock who inspired the movie "Sniper" with Tom Berenger.

  • First off how can you compare the two there is 40+ years of Technology difference..Carlos Unertl scope was most likely an 8X.. Rob Furlong was what 20X? 24X ...point is you cant evenly compare with out using the EXACT same equipment and conditions.

  • Furlong had a 16x scope. But agreed. Hathcocks probably was more impressive. Furlongs was in the ultimate long distance conditions. High altitude and open terrain. Plus it actually took him three shots. Either way I wouldn't want to be in either of their crosshairs.

  • I heard that one of the farthest comfermed kills was with a m2 .50 cal. at 2 miles. I think I heard that in the history channel. That's pretty far man lol

  • I'd flinch to if a scope was flying back at my eye ball! Hold on to your gun man!

  • Flinching = anticipating the recoil.

The title of this video is incorrect.

  • so true, i remember the first time i shot my 12 gauge. i flinched so bad when i pulled the trigger only to find the safety was on lol

  • u get in trouble for that in the sniper academy

  • It sounds like he's shooting the Predator.

  • The gun was not properly shouldered, the butt stock was in his armpit, very dangerous.

  • twat its the recoil and the body naturally tryimg to protect itself. You fire a .50 cal and try not to flinch

  • It's not that hard. Recoil is only pressure on your body/shoulders. .50cal won't make you flinch if you know the gun real well and know how to shoot. Yes, it is a lot of crap moving around when you shoot something that size. Don't forget, gun is held against the shoulder, not your eyes.

  • I find it hilarious when kids get on here and try to act like they know what they're talking about when they have obviously never have shot this gun before, or with this kids comment, any gun for that matter. You can train yourself not to flinch even when shooting a .50 cal m107, its not hard, as long as you shoulder the gun properly and have shot the gun before.

  • I find it hilarious when you get on here and try to act smart about shit when you obviously sound like a hillbilly calling it a "gun". I understand its the most commonly used word for all firearms but that my friend is a sniper rifle and at that a rifle itself

  • it's Canadian sniper shooting a TAC-50 and while your little USMC was pinned down by mortar fire from farmers with AK's a Canadian sniper team with there TAC-50's saved your asses taking these shoots at 2657 yd!! the longest confirmed sniper kill!!! what did you do "in a 3-month period between October 7, 2001 and January 1, 2002, at least 1,000-1,300 civilians were directly killed by the U.S.-led aerial bombing campaign"

  • amazing shot!

  • I'm no expert; but I agree. I remember the first time I shot a gun. It was a .22 caliber winchester rifle, the sound shocked me and I flinched. Now, I don't even hear it. I want to learn more about long distance shooting.

  • the stock wasnt seated in his shoulder properly....

  • Or just dont wear a hat :)

  • theres a difference between recoil and flinching... flinching is bad... load a dummy round randomly into a mag, and see what happens when you pull the trigger and nothing happens... if you jerk the gun, thats a flinch, and its bad for accuracy because you usually do it before you actually pull the trigger.

  • Is he seriously not wearing hearing protection?

That has to hurt so unbelievably much.

  • noo you all are missing the point here, the body has autonomic responses, loops in the nervous system that respond before the brain knows it, the looped endings cause the muscles in strategic areas to contract. It's pretty much a reflex of the body. go stick your hand on something hot, before you yourself even know its hot, your body will make you remove you hand from the source.

  • oooh so fucking what the shooter flinched after shooting a 50 cal round. wouldn't you?

  • he is canadian.. it is odd, but at one point in afghanistan canadian snipers wore some british dpm... not sure why but i've seen pictures of canadians wearing cadpat AND dpm..

  • Its because at the time we didn't have CADPAT ARID or desert version of CADPAT basically available.

  • he flinched AFTER trigger pull. natural instinct to protect the eye, so what?

  • yeah, shot looked steady and was probably on target....I'd probably flinch back a bit after shooting a .50 bgm too.

  • probably mostly recoil and natural instinct. plus the fact its a .50

  • bmg

  • Right it was a misstype, Im aware it's not .50 Browning Gun Machine... ha

  • @kryptoniterxn117 it's bad form regardless if its after. You need to keep your eye on how the bullet trace is being projected for the next round. IT helps understand windage conditions, what simple before and after results won't tell you.

  • @rawimpact have you ever shot a scoped rifle? if you did, you'd know it's impossible to see the bullet's trace thru that same scope due to violent recoil. That's why every sniper has a spotter to see for him. I dont think "flinching" is right word here anyhow bc the rifle did not move before the shot and he did not anticipate the shot.

  • @rawimpact you have obviously never owned or shot a rifle

  • @SurvivorRye if you say so moron

  • @rawimpact I know so asshole.

  • @SurvivorRye yeah you canadians know a lot about weapons right, with all of your war history right? and when i ment bullet trace, i ment with tracers used every 4 rounds

  • @rawimpact OK, so you've never shot a gun, and have never owned a book.

For 1, we saved your dumbasses in WW2 on D-Day.

For 2, war has NOTHING to do with guns. Guns just go hand in hand with war. Guns have been used for hunting in Canada since the British, English, and French landed here a few hundred years ago.

For 3, When have you seen a tracer bullet from a rifle? Tracer bullets are used on machine guns. You're an idiot.

  • @SurvivorRye Oh man i dont even want to point out the fallacious statements you've made. lets just say i fire tracer rounds through my AR15 center-fire RIFLE

  • @rawimpact AUTOMATIC FIRE

I don't know how else to explain a scoped rifle that is semi auto or bolt action DOES NOT FIRE TRACER ROUNDS

    You're too dumb to help.

    Stay in school! =)

  • @SurvivorRye a bolt gun fires tracer rounds just fine. nice insult, you did more damage to your self than anything.

  • @beochie I meant tracer rounds are meant for machine guns / gattling guns, so you can follow your rounds, they are not normally used in scoped rifles, actually, I've never heard of ANYONE using tracer rounds in a bolt action rifle. Where have you seen this before?

    Who are you anyway?

  • @SurvivorRye Youre an idiot.

  • @USMCjwho You're a faggot.

  • @rawimpact are you a little kid or something?

you're fucking dumb....look at the video. he's firing a bolt action rifle with a scope. what the fuck kind of bolt action rifle with a scope fires a tracer round

stop playing call of duty and go out and get a life you stupid kids!

  • @mugsucks a bolt gun fires tracer rounds just fine. nice insult, you did more damage to your self than anything.

  • @mugsucks a bolt gun fires tracer rounds just fine. nice insult, you did more damage to your self than anything.

  • @SurvivorRye Saved our asses? All you had to do was take juno beach from a force one third your size! And yes, it is possible to fire tracer rounds through a bolt action rifle. Have some pride you Canadian son of a bitch. Its one of your countrymen who holds the world record for the longest confirmed sniper kill in history. A Canadian sniper, firing American bullets (taken from a belt from a Browning M2) through a British rifle (the rifle in this video). Team effort > terrorists.

  • @ColonelMcBeige Oh cool, another 21 year old know-it-all on youtube. You're original.

Also a brit holds the longest confirmed kill with a sniper rifle.

Maybe not saved the Americans asses, but definitely helped with the team effort of flanking and destroying the enemy. If you think we only stormed Juno beach, you need to read some more history books.

  • @SurvivorRye Wasn't it a canadian?

  • @TFPdespaiR Furlong's record was surpassed in November 2009 by Corporal of Horse Craig Harrison of the British Household Cavalry, who killed two Taliban guerrillas at a range of 2,475 m (2,707 yd).

  • @SurvivorRye Was looking on wikipedia, and saw what I think is definitely on par with any longest ranged shot... A guy killed an entire machine gun crew with one bullet... WHILE they were behind a brick wall...

  • @NonDairyYogurt What did he do, shoot a grenade that one of them was holding? lol

  • @SurvivorRye He shot through a wall... and the bullet went through all three of them...

  • @SurvivorRye a canadian holds the record for the longest confirmed taliban kill......

  • @rawimpact Canadians have a lot of War history, you're a moron!!! Were you homeschooled in Mexico or something?

  • @rawimpact hey nice fish video faggot lol

  • @rawimpact Canadians in WWI were the most baddest suckers out there. The germans shat there pants when they heard we were coming, they called us the storm troopers

dont get me wrong though, America is our bigger brother and our numbers are too small to defend ourselves well enough.

  • @bullmeatt The germans called us shock troops. Canadians have never been the baddest suckers on any battlefield. Sorry.

  • @USMCjwho Canadians have the best Infantry in the world voted by the UN because we have a smaller army but the US are a great allie to have.

  • @PcGamerPaul INFANTRY, true the armored core is a bit shoddy though, leopard 2s cant hold up to a good ol M1 abrams, not to mention US has the best airforce, disputed, and INDISPUTEDLY THE best navy in the world, so yeah you could say that. but i dont believe it, US is definitely super power here, but canada, definitely a world power, US STANDARD infantry cant stand up to a well trained canadian 1 on 1, but u put the rangers vs their canadian counterpart, rangers win every time.

  • @IKEELYOUNOW It Should be CSOR vs Rangers not CF Infantry vs Rangers. But you can't really compare CSOR and Rangers because little is known about CSOR . And yes Best Naval and Air power in the world but the Armored C. Leopard 2A7 + Is a little better than the M1 but you don't have to worry because those tanks will never meet on the battlefield they will meet as allies.

  • @USMCjwho The Kaiser called The Canadian Corps the Storm Troopers of the British Empire. FACT. And you know there are more countries that fought in wars than the USA. Get your head outa your ass.

  • @bullmeatt no the germans are the storm troopers

  • @kryptoniterxn117 You're right!

  • He may have pulled his shot, but I don't see him doing anything before the gun went off, so I don't think he flinched at all.

  • Nice vid, is it from the Canadian Army? Don't know of any other military that used the Tac-50

  • Yup, he's wearing CADPAT

  • But his coat looks like DPM. How strange a combination.

  • Is this a Canadian Army sniper? Don't know of any other military that uses the Tac-50.
