ballet i so not easy i been dancing since i was young and still to this day i get people sayin tht i shuld as thy say tke up a harder sport. i cnt seem to get the point across to thm tht it isnt easy. i acually got me mate to try and do some stretchin with me once and afta bout 10 minutes they gave up. i really enjoy dancing and i enjoy watchin it toits like getting more inspiration of others and tht is why i started coz i was watched preformances and said i wnted to do it and now i am :)

thnak you 4 understanding how hard it is to be a ballet dancer. many people think that it is easy, but i would love to prove them wrong. if they took one ballet class, they would all understand the suffer that we go through, but mask it with our grace and beauty.

yes you have to have complete dedication to the ballet ~ this is well worth watching if you are considering ballet as a career, never underestimate the trials you will be put through.

1:42 freaks me out. But i love ballet:) And i think that it is harder than ANY other sport out there. Who else can hit a split in mid air, have turned out feet and pointed feet at all times? Be flexible? Have intense endurance? And smile at the same time. ...? No one. Thats the answer

I liked it, but I think more pictures of the harsh training, stretching, criticism, and tears would make it better. Also, there are many other pictures I have seen out there where they are doing "over-splits" and there attitudes and arabesques are straight/vertical in the air. But thanks!

the only reason people think ballet (and dance in general) is easy is because its the only sport where not only do you have to work really hard and be in really good shape, but you also have to make it look easy and pleasant or else people wont want to watch it.

@mashedpotatoes97 actually, ballet is considered to be the hardest sport. to become a professional, as i am, you must work every single day for hours upon hours. It is NOT easy.

@balletcarli I think you misunderstood me.... what I was trying to say is that the only reason other people (not me) think ballet is easy is because we make it look easy. We are trained to not show the pain of the movement, and we are trained to make the most difficult things look easy. I am also a ballet dancer (though not professional) so I understand completely how difficult it is.

I hate that a lot of people underestimate how much work it takes to be a ballerina. I mean, it takes years and years and years of work just to perfect the basic skills, yet people think it takes about a week. It might be do to how effortless we have to make it look, but people should still realize that ballet it NOT easy. Thank-you for capturing that in your video.

@chocolate12345123 ..... Omg someone who understands... I am 17 years old and having been doing ballet for my entire life and the work and strength needed is insane.... I stopped for 1 year cause my body needed a break it is so demanding on the body its not easy and people think it comes so easy and is not a sport, it is and a very demanding one too :)
