so chico bets the cocktail waitress that he can ''finish'' while she is pleasuring him, BEFORE HE finishes the minute waltz.,,,, he said he never cared if he lost that bet

Наткнулась случайно, раньше видеть и слышать не приходилось, потрясающая техника, как бывшая пианистка знаю, сколько времени в день нужно тратить для таких результатов. Браво!!!
@levanyzzuf - Groucho said that he didn't practice that much. He would just soak his hands in warm water for a while and announce, "Practice time is over!" Of course, knowing Groucho. . ."
@johnster623 - I think part of the solution was that Chico played in the keys of C and F, which featured either no black keyes (C) or just one (F). I think that made it easier, along with a helluva lotta talent, to play like he did.
I would have paid a fortune to see that... well i would have paid a fortune to have seen either of them but especially them together.
the problem would be finding a piece they could work on together; for all his comedy and improvisations Victor was a classical pianist and Chico's unique fingering style wouldn't work with a classical number.
Yea man, he was amazing at the piano! Just like Harpo was a phenomenal harpist. In fact, the whole family was musically gifted. The Marx Bros were a one of the kind family...that's why they were so famous.
He was the glue that tied them together. he was always teamed with Harpo then would meet Groucho later. He would be in most scenes. It was either him/Harpo or him/Groucho. Sure the other brothers did scenes together. But they were separate. Groucho would start with Zeppo. Chico was sooo important to the routine like you said. Not many people see that comedy is actually very complicated and very hard to do well.
AWESOME!!! Timeless brilliance. He made it look so easy! LOVE it! I was raised on Marx Bros. and now all my kids were too-and they're all musicians. Thanx for posting! It's fans like u that keep their talent before the public who are so used to special effects-this is true genius.
It wasn't just talent with Vaudvillians. They had been perfecting their shit since they were kids.
The whole Marx phenomena, as was that for many vaudevillians that made the jump to talkies, was attributable more to hard work even than talent. Lucille Ball and WC Fields come to mind.
"Ha-ha, beat ya that time." LOL What amazing talents the brothers were, but Chico and Harpo had such a musical flair. What a treat just to watch that caliber of talent.

@Dfrankjazz I think Harpo wrote that they played as they did because they didn't learn the proper techniques.

They needed to make a piano with moving keys- That's the only way the piano would have a chance against Chico's fingers- Awesome

Chico's the only guy on earth who can glide on the piano keys like that. Every time I try, I end up hurting my fingers.
