  • One of the best story tellers of our time...

  • Talk about somebody being far ahead of his time. Many years from now, his works will probably be re-discovered and it is a shame that persons of today missed out.

  • oehh

  • remember this back in '89, was a big hit on the alternative scene. Barny Simon on radio 5 used to play it alot,

thanks for uploading this and the great memories.

  • Zou Mark Foggo 's moeten coveren.

  • einfach ne coole Stimme.... :-9

  • Bought the album on the strength of that song and don't regret it at all.Not seen that video for years thank god for 'you tube'.

  • this song rocks

  • Stan Ridgeway is seriously shaggable.

  • Great LP and fantastic songwriter/story teller. It was one of the first CD's I ever purchased, and it sure had a lush, cinematic sound!

People who dismiss Eighties music as shallow and artless have no idea what they are missing out on.

  • Youtube is the greatest.I have this and another of Stans's and love them. Now at 3 in the mornign I get to see the video.thank the heavens above for YOUTUBE>

  • Does anyone else hear a similarity in the music and the music in the Wall of Voodoo song, "Me & My Dad"?

  • This reminds my of the good old days... Splendid song...

It made me discover more of his work! Thanx, Stan!

  • Great post! Great song from a great album. Saw Stan once in a tiny club in Redondo- all time great.

  • I think I was at that club too. Was it "The Strand" in 1990? That club is no longer there. He was walking across the tables and stepped right on my salad. What a great night that was.

  • THAT'S IT!

    Thanks Sue!

  • Another great song from Stan.

That was a good album indeed.

  • what a wonderful song of the late eighties...

  • This guy has to be the most underrated songwriter I have heard in my entire life
