  • Is it enough with a Radeon 9200 with 32 MB?

  • How do I do to install kde and uninstall gnome without loosing anything?

  • Depends on your linux distribution. Generally, it's not difficult. On Kubuntu, you must install kubuntu-desktop so you can choose KDE from the login manager. You can then remove gnome if you want, but I dunno if you would need to remove it package by package or if there's a faster way.

  • sudo apt-get remove gnome*

  • If you mean files YOU made there shouldnt be a problem running

    sudo apt-get uninstall ubuntu-desktop

That will uninstall every application under GNOME...

User made files (The ones in Home) wont be affected.

  • ubuntu-desktop is a meta-package, it won't remove anything.

  • Makes the GNOME interface unusable.

  • it looks so flexible and so functional, liked it.. waiting for kde 4.

  • do you have monge`s set of xboard pieces?

  • Very nice.

Makes it very clear what is actually happening/ changing in a very natural way.

This will be especially great for making new users feel comfortable with kde4 very quickly IMO.
