Gordy the Banjo-ologist! I have this fella's record, my dear mama brought it back from that cultural Mecca, Stockton Family Camp on Silver Lake. I had no interest in it but then I heard "If I Only Had A Brain", and, after realizing the song was pure genius, then one by one the other songs revealed themselves as genius as well.
I play it... not all the time-- it's contrary to my preferred genres-- but when I need my mood lifted, there is no more efficient joy delivery device. Awesome!
