Hey！ I'm not sure whether i should get this phone. My mom had the Sony Ericsson T700 and it got very laggy. Will that happen? how long have you had the xperia arc? how is it and what are some of your longtime experiences?
@TheCoreyAppleShow No. 2D camera as it has a single lens. 3D cameras have 2 lenses. It's got a 3D panorama as it composites images from different angles to make it look 3D, but it's not actually a 3D camera. And a little late, but @samcaplat no - I don't own one, just an XDA fan irked by the video is all.
Duh, the arc S is supposed to replace the arc. It's just like upgrading to a new software, you get rid of the old one. Retailers don't even sell the arc anymore since it is REPLACED by arc S. Anyways, the original arc got an update for the 3D Camera (and everything that the arc S has, it's even the same firmware). Also, the bootloader on all the latest Xperia can be easily unlocked. Thus, allowing you to flash a custom kernel and overclock up to 2 GHz (on both arc or arc S).
I guess that Sam cares about Sony Ericsson that much to criticizing its "new" product, and with him, i agree.
i care about Sony Ericsson, and 3D camera shouldnt be the major "thing" on a phone. an extreme internal memory, i5 processor or a battery that lasts for a week on 3G network. but it isnt.
I have to decide between Ray and Arc S. The Arc does not have a front camera, and I am not sure whether the screen is scratch -proof and made of glass, as it is on Ray?
And the Ray has aluminium (?) body, does the Arc S have a plastic body...?

But it does have an unlockable bootloader through both official (if you buy a sim-unlocked unit) and unofficial means. That was not an accurate statement.
Anyways, if I want to have 1.4ghz, I overclock the Arc to 1.4ghz and it runs fine.

I have the SE arc and i was thinking of buying the arc s because i thought that the new one will have great improvement but i guess now i think it will be a great waste of money. The camera is just a software update, which the original arc gets. Its just a slight overclock that is the only difference. and as loads of people have already pointed out all of the new xperias this year have had unlocked bootloaders. If you are going to preview something please make sure you have the facts!

So like the special edition Sensation. Nothing more than a set of headphones. Everything else can be bought separately (new battery and Beats headphones) or integrated in to the current software (Beats software). If I want the overclock, I just overclock my processor.
Well, the Arc isn't a Geek's device. But it's great in daily business use. And it took me about 3 minutes to unlock the Arc's boot loader with the help of Sony Ericsson's unlock page.
just want to point out that processor speed can be a very misleading measure of performance.. for example, a 1 GHz old generation snapdragon found in the Nexus One, Droid Incredible, etc perform much worse than 800 MHz newer generation scorpion found in the Desire-Z/G2, Desire HD, etc. even newer generation CPUs/GPUs should perform much better too.

Sam ur one of the what accent is that from? if i would guess UK, u speak very well and are one of the few people i can understand that clear but still have an accent. lol Do u have a separate channel or more videos and reviews i could check out.
